If you keep your onions in the fridge, when you go to cut them up they shouldn't make your eyes water, i think it's because they're cold they don't release the acid, or whateva it is inside them that make you cry.

Charles needs to take cooking lessons. For one thing, he should use bottled passata of tomatoes (imported from Italy) instead of Hunt's sauce. The onions should be cooked separately and then added to the ground beef as it cooks. After the beef is fully cooked , then you add the sauce and onions and heat for 45 minutes.

And CHARLES, this is for you....... next time with the sauce, put the turkey and onion in the saucepan and cook until slightly brown and crumbly. Then throw in your tomato sauce and crushed ones, along with your herbs and all that!
