  • hi zilios, why don´t you feature your real name on top of your video ? -

your vid is g r e a t, showing basics of an old master ( 1935 ). accents and rebounds is another from the 50tees, and military drum beats also grand,

like the dodge drum chart - stick to your good thing, BEST Matthias Deutschland

  • Hi, how do you get all the hits sound the same? I have problems to make them sound like hits. especially when I do the double ... thanks

  • @ZiliosRock Slow practice. making sure every stroke is played in the same manner, velocity/height/placement on the head, etc... Really pay attention to your stick heights. Consistent stick heights are one of the primary tools to achieving that uniform sound. The same holds true for double strokes. Check out my video on Short Roll Combinations, that might help you out. Thanks!

  • Awesome job man! How long did it take you to get your chops up to that level? Also, it looks to me like you are living in a dorm/apartment. Can that practice kit be heard in the neighboring rooms at all? Do you ever get any complaints? Same with the HiHat and "silencer" on it. Thanks!

  • @NewYorkJets99 Daily Practice is the key to maintaining and advancing in any field. I haven't had any noise problems with this kit. I did add towels to the pads, and a soft piece of foam to the kick pad to silence the drums a little more. If you add a towel between the hi hats it quietes the "chick" quite a bit.

  • @btl987 Oh ok cool. Thank you very much for your response. I have been trying to work on my rudiments more lately and hopefully it will pay off. Also thanks for the info. on the kit! Take care!

  • i had this book from my teacher and it's the best book ever made!!!

  • @btl987 I just started on stick control and I have had no prior with playing drums. At first I thought "ok, this seems simple!" but then I learned that holding my sticks right and making sure my strikes are even made me realize that I really hadmy work cut out for me. The ver first exercise has had me stuck for a few days and I'm sure it will take many more but I'm greatful for this video because at least i know how it's supposed to sound ...Thanks!

  • Pretty good video tough. but you need to excersize a lil bit more. these are simple speed stick controls. but you'r good ;)

  • That book changed my drumming completely it is truly the Bible of Drumming

and by the way very very good drumming dude

  • @Jay902017 You and me both brother! Thanks for the comment, it's greatly appreciated. Cheers.

  • bro you are so used to marking time!! you are in a marching band right??

  • @CUBANDUDE0075895 Nice observation! I'm not anymore, but I was in various marching bands from middle school through college. No drum corp though.

  • What is the metronome you use

  • @libirm it;s a Boss DB-90

  • what metronome are you using?

  • I have that same practice pad, and it too has signatures on it with black sharpie, haha. Who signed yours?

  • Ben this is hella sick, i'll b sure to try to keep up with it over the summer, by the way your cat looks like a boss.
