  • Dude WTF do not get on Youtube ever ever again, Again what was the point? What a waste

  • useless

  • awesome 200mm f2

  • 70-200 IS II and the 100mm macro is are my favorite lenses to use :D

  • Guess the glass is ok, shame about the camera : (

  • All telephoto on a 1.6 crop. The perverts kit bag lol.

  • Mind shipping some to me in Australia for free? ;) Thanks haha jokes. Nice glass you got there.. makes me so jealous actually

  • What exactly was the point of this, apart from the already mentioned "How cool do I think I am" factor? Try USING your equipment next time, and you won't get so many dislikes.

  • Despite your long winded "info section"... we all know you just want to show off all your gear.

  • You bastard, I hate you!

  • Thanks for the video, but why not add some stills or video shot throught these lenses?

  • so ?

  • I WANT ALL OF THOSE LENSES :(

  • TY, wanted to see how big a 70-200 would be compared to my 100L

  • you lucky bastard!

  • It would have been nice to hear a comparison reading.

  • yo man you need to make more videos...possibly reviews over these lenses??? I think you could be a big help and asset for the photography community

  • I think I'm more impressed by the video quality. Very sharp.

  • because you have both...is it still worth holding on to your 70-200 when you have the 200 f2? want to know...thanks!

  • @andrewiscrosseyed : I keep both because I love the superb quality of the 200mm f2's result wide open and use it whenever situation permits; however the flexibility of the zoom cannot be discounted, not to mention the sharpness it provides. So it all depends on your usage. If you feel you can live with fixed 200mm then i guess you can keep just the prime, but if you are like me and want to pack light, or just feel lazy to move sometimes, the zoom can be a lifesaver on those days ^_^

  • do u live in ascot or mil ride?

  • @boilevestan ; I am in a small town in Kentucky. I just searched ascot on google and it seems like that's in California, so I think I am quite a long distance away from that place you mentioned.

  • Nice family!

  • Simple I like it. I just ordered my 70-200 2.8L IS II and am super excited if I could have gotten that I would have though. I just got a Mark 3 so I couldn't find an extra 3 grand or I would have kept my old 70-200 and got the 200 instead

  • @FuryPhotos , if you liked your 70-200, you will love the 70-200 IS II, there is no going back..super super sharp image at any focal length. Even though I have the 200mm F2, I find myself picking up the 70-200 most of the time since the zoom is so convenient. I think you made a great choice. If I have to pick only one, I would pick the zoom as well. The 200mm F2L will be waiting for you ^_^

  • @IronCan8 Ya i know alot of people are saying the 7D is great and i have thought about downgrading or side grading to it lol, you got any opinions.

  • @FuryPhotos , I don't see how 7D can be better than your Mark III. Not sure whethere you are talking about 1D or 1Ds, but either way, both have bigger sensor and better weather sealing. The only advantage of the 7D is perhaps the video function. I would say side grading would sound more reasonable in your case.

  • wich uv filter on 70-200 and on 100??

  • B+W MRC UV filter (77mm for 70-200 and 67mm for 100mm macro). I think the B+W is among the highest rated filter you can get for lenses of these diameters. Brand aside, I recommend getting multi coating. Hoya's higher end multicoated filters are nice alternatives as well.

  • $12,000+ camera gear XD

  • Wow, Your video upload looks sharp!!! Did you do any format changes/convert file before uploading it to youtube or did you just upload it raw .mov? I'm still new to CS4 and still can't find the right export settings to keep the quality looking same as raw. Any suggestions?

  • @VIPTouge sorry I haven't gotten chance to learn about file conversion. I just uploaded the file right out of the 7d camera, and it took forever, being so huge. I think you need to download a file converter..I heard there are free ones. Someone suggested converting the file to an avi file first. So I am guessing if you use the converter to convert the file, keeping the same aspect ratio and frame rate, the video should still look quite sharp. Let me know how it goes, I need to leaer too.

  • What flash is it??

  • @Jannikolai7 It's Canon 580exII flash

  • Thanks for the video. To do all your wonderful lens justice, you really need a camera with full frame sensor. A 5D Mark II or 1Ds Mark III should be the best match with them. Cost should not be a problem seeing all these expensive gear on your desk.

  • @thomaskllidr : I had considered 5d Mark II, but I felt the 7d is more full featured with Dual CPU, better focusing system, better lcd..etc. The 5d Mark II has only 1 cross-type focus point while 7d has 19 of them (my old 40d has 9). Hopefully the 5D mark III will come with similar feature set then I will definitely get it. As for the 1D and 1Ds, I still can't justify getting camera body at those prices when you can get both 5D and 7D for less. I like the 1.6x factor for telephoto though.

  • @thomaskllidr Yes. I agree the 7D is a newer and more loaded wwith latest features but there is nothing more important than the sensor of a camera. With full frame sensor, you are using the whole lens. With corped one, you are only using 60% in the middle. The total cost of all your lens shown must be more than $10,000. You are only using $6,000 of it. That is my logic for a 5DII.

  • @thomaskllidr I think 5d Mk III should be out by early 2011. Hopefully it will be a worthy full frame. I will definitely get the Mk III if it at least matches the 7d's focusing abillity. Your 2 messages really make me think about 5d MkII again and again, but still I must resist temptation...must wait for MkIII ^_^ Thank you

  • @IronCan8 I have the Canon 70-200mm F2.8L II and a 5DII and 500D bodies. I find myself using the 5DII much more than the 500D. The 70-200mm F2.8L II is a very good lens already but your video makes me think about the 200mm F2 again and again. The 5D Mk III will probably be available in late 2011 or early 2012. Cheers.

  • @thomaskllidr . I wish there is some magic like in video game where we can merge the 200mm f2 with the 70-200mm f2.8 to make one single 70-200mm f2L IS lens whie maintaining the same sharpness at all focal length ^_^ I have a feeling if they give 5d mkIII the same focusing accuracy and speed as 7d, they sale for 1D mkIV will decline hugely. Hopefully that doesn't hold Canon from giving 5D mk III what it deserves. Do you feel the 200mm feels a little short on the full frame body?

  • @IronCan8 200mm is a bit short for 5DII. I sometimes have to use the 1.4X and 2X extenders for longer focal length. That is why the 200mm F2 is very attractive by having a larger aperture. How do you compare the 200mm F2 vs 70-200MM F2.8L II at 200mm? I find the 70-200mm is very sharp already. Is the 200mm F2 significantly better than the zoom lens?

  • @thomaskllidr : I don't want to say significantly better, but the F2 is definitely sharper if you look closely; however we are talking about ultra sharp quality at F2 vs at F2.8. These are all super sharp lenses, so I say pick 200mm f2L for superior bokeh, speed, and sharpness @ f2. The zoom for flexibility and similar sharpness @f2.8. I use a Kenko Pro 1.4x TC and the f2L combo gave slightly sharper result too, and you end up with 280mm f2.8 which is still very fast on my 7D.

  • I have the HD-options. Btw, nice lens collection sir.

What do you think of the 100mm macro? I ordered it today..:)

  • @ReinVO, are you talking about the 100mm regular or the IS L lens? Either one is great, definitely sharper picture than the 180mm macro ( I had it for 1 month then sold it to buy this 100mm macro IS L, no regret at all). With the IS L version you get better weather seal, better color saturation, and of course the Image Stabilization is great. Both are very compact and lightweight making handheld macro photo a breeze (with the 180mm tripod is Mandatory). Thanks for watching my first video.

  • @IronCan8 I'm indeed talking about the IS L version. Glad to hear you like it, it makes me even more excited. Thanks for your fast reply, I wish my lens got here with the same speed. ;)
