@TravvyG in fact its not, no know max speed test but its designed to max 320kmh but normaly it goes at 285kmh. TGV goes at 300kmh and was tested twice at 517kmh and at 575kmh.
In Japan, the JR normal train(not shinkansen) and most of private railways are narrow gage(1067mm).The shinkansen and some private railways are stantard gage(1435mm).

im over the French TGV i luv this train now lol its quieter and i suppose its faster then the TGV

@Mateyhv1 500 series Nozomi W set (in this video) used to run @ 300km/h.
the shortened 8 car 500 series Kodama now running between Shin-Osaka and Hakata runs up to 285km/h.
PS: the train was designed to run normally @ 320km/h and a max of 350km/h but design max speed goes beyond that.
