Boxing is a great sport i love it and always will. There's alot of talk about MMA here. The beautiful techniques of the world's best pro boxers is sport specific technique that has been honed through years of pure queensbury rules boxing. Striking in MMA is less sport specific and more fight specific. Due to so many more variables allowed in the rules (Like a real fight) the striking is more "Realistic" in the sense that you can't concentrate just on executing that pure boxing technique.
I'll be the first to admit, I couldn't handle MMA like I could boxing. I think you guys are CRAZY to put up with that shit. But following the topic, energy expenditure is energy expenditure. A marathon runner would have BOTH sports beat in overall stamina. Boxing of the two requires more cardio (caloric energy burning) to maintain, therefore their training is more cardio based. MMA- more technique and strength based. Just stating the facts it's not rocket science
Read it again, I'm saying their training is more technique and strength BASED (Meaning they focus more on technique) compared to a focus on cardio / stamina. Boxing training has a huge focus on cardio and is very technical; strength based: not so much. I would agree almost all the "striking" I've seen in MMA is pretty embarrassing. Jose Aldo, A silva, and maybe rampage would be the only exceptions from what I've seen. But remember there are other variables as to why
@cenerozzzz This is silly because in Muay Thai or Boxing ground fighting, wrestling and grappling techniques are not allowed so of course the striking in MMA looks different. The boxing and kickboxing technique people say is terrible in MMA is actually the real shit that actually works in a real fight scenario where grappling, take downs, ground and pound and submissions are not excluded. There's always room for improvement though.
No I'm not mad I think your an idiot you are so eager to want boxing to die but it's not going anywear because it's too popular when it has it's own form of fighting style it is a game of it's own skill and you can never take that away from boxing. Best sport in the world!
Pro wrestling is even more popular than MMA, and MMA is going no where. so there..
@Dimitri0809 why would i want boxing to die? its a part of mma and always will be. and its not even that popular anymore. boxing best sport? haha no. and pro wrestling is not even close to the popularity to mma. mma is rising rapidly. ufc on fox put up to 10million+ views expected more after this week suck it bitch
The ONLY thing that gives MMA a bit of an "edge" is the way the matches are timed. 3, 5 min rounds allows people to go amazingly hard because they don't require the stamina to go 12 rounds as in boxing. If you used that blueprint on boxing you'd see guys ripping through eachother's faces with their gloves. Boxing can benefit by creating more condensed shorter fights with more activity. That would be hella more interesting than MMA even to MMA fans I'd bet.
Possibly the most niave comment ever... You have no idea how physically fit boxers have to be to do 12 rounds. It's widely accepted that boxing requires more physical stamina that MMA bouts. Have you ever tried getting constantly hit and having to generate immense force to throw punches from a body that is bruised and broken? UFC is a sprint, boxing is a marathon. A UFC fighter of today would collapse by the 8th round and not get back up.
@slexson09 *naive....and Yes They are not even close to how fit MMA fighters are. try grappling for more than 5 minutes its harder than throwinf punches. I like to see a boxer survive a ground n pound attack while rocked badly. and no its not widely accepted that boxers r better conditioned than mma fighters. TROLLLL
First of all this video is BOXING IS NOT DEAD, you are the MMA nutswinger so don't throw that troll shit at me son. MMA fighters are tough dudes. They take a beating, they dish it out. But when it comes to complete stamina, they don't train like boxers. Boxing training is superior, has been around forever, perfected forever. Just because your sport is more painful doesn't mean they have the cardiovascular superiority. 12 to 5 rounds. Your argument is a JOKE
@slexson09 dude boxing is long gone its not what it used to be remember when boxing had a championship for free on tv? its been a while. ufc on fox put up to 10 million+ viewers. and obviously you are retarded when you say grapplers dont have stamina grappling is already proven to be more exhausting than striking. and mma is actualy older than boxing get your facts straight troll.
@slexson09 LOL at your retardedness boxing is just punching. mma is punching kicking kneeing elbows wrestling bjj judo which is grappling like takedowns and defending them. plus groundwork and defending submissions. you dont know shit because your either a troll or just plaind dumb
Man dude, I'm actually trying to intelligently debate with you but your denseness is getting a little irritating. I think your problem is you don't remember what you are arguing about and half way into your diatribe you just start throwing out random facts about MMA that arn't even the topic. When did I say MMA requires ZERO stamina? Last time I checked we were COMPARING one sport to another. I could sit here & argue with you but I think an English class would better serve you.
Oh shut up you fuckhead stop comparing Boxing to MMA.. Boxing is it's own form it's own game fighters will choose boxing because it suits them now go watch your MMA asshole..
@slexson09 You say he had a naive comment then you claim UFC fighters would collapse by the 8th round?!? Ever hear of Chris Lytle or Nick Diaz? Pro boxer's rarely ever make it out of the first round in MMA & grappling requires more energy than anything! Using your entire body to constantly push & pull on top of striking is incredibly hard as is boxing. MMA requires tons of stamina & way more strength endurance, boxing requires a bit more cardio.
Immortal, I'm TALKING about cardio. I'm not talking about strength. Heart rate to heart rate, boxing requires more stamina. Heavier gloves, keeping your battered body agile dodging shots, throwing, missing, NEVER stop moving. MMA is more taxing on the entire body. It requires more overall strength. Nick Diaz was a competition swimmer, he credits his amazing cardio to that sport. I take nothing from MMA guys, their sport is tougher. Boxers in MMA are washups. They dont count
All I have to say is the only ever interesting MMA matchups are the ones that are basically 3 round boxing brawl outs. When they go to the ground and roll around like a tangled up human cob web the fight becomes a snoozer. Wrestling tried to become big but fell flat for the same reason. People just aren't that interested in ground game which is the majority of MMA. So when you hate boxing, you are hating the only interesting component of your own sport.
@Raiton45 lol i was being a troll...but it is. i like boxing the only one i like pac man. Truth is mma is full contact elbows, knees, takedowns, subs, and chokes. pretty much a fucking gladiator without dying lol. its really badass.
MMA is useless sport with no skills they throw wide punches that would never hit a pro boxer and land at will only to amature MMA fighter who close their eyes while blocking haha.
okay so boxing isnt dead....but your showing a man who lost his belts, got caught doing drugs, and recently just pulled out of a TITLE fight because the money was enough....
boxing is dead ? lol lolo lol again amir khan made 3 mil to fight zab judah how many mma fight make that 0 flyod vs ortiz sold out already how many fighter sell out 2 months before the fight? 0 ortiz vs andrea berto sold over 800 000 units at 60$ a unit thats a 48 million dollar gate not including sponsers how many mma fights have done this 0 checj your stats kid boxing is an art while mma is human cock fighting boxing cant die it and weaken then strengthen
@JUSTME543212345 haha boxing is dead just like poker is even thou they make alot. and guess wut mma has sold way more than boxing has in the last 3 years and boxing has been around for a while and mma just got up. guess wut there r more grapplers than boxers so it gonna skyrocket rapidy. and mma fights have sponsers and no deaths in the ufc but alot in boxing where the object is to punch ur opponent more than he punches u.
@JUSTME543212345 Thats why boxing is on the decline. We the fans aka viewers could give a fuck about how much they get paid. We want to see the best fight the best. In boxing the best dont fight the best. Done.
UFC is looking for fighters, I did remember seeing a link on their main website for anyone with pro records that think they have what it takes to make it in the sport. UFC is also adding a 125 division this year along with the 135/145 division's they also added earlier this year & fighters are in need for future strikeforce challenger events. If it was the fighter then a fighter or boxer could succeed in the others sport. Clearly styles & training play an equally important roll in success.
Hey Everbody look at my comment in the top comments. Just tell me do you all agree with my statement? Just asking to see if there are people who understand instead of just making false statements.
Fuck the UFC, Boxing has lived for 1000s of years and has produced icons who will never be forgotten. The sweet science is the realest shit all day baby, that UFC junk is a come and go hype, they've stolen the blueprint of Boxing and Bruce Lee's MMA and tried to create some violent barbaric cage fighting shit, we'll see if that lasts like boxing.
@AadamZiaAli MMA has been around as long if not longer than boxing & has already lasted over 1000 years in the original Greek Olympic games. Much like boxing's history MMA has legends & icons who will never be forgotten. UFC may have stolen the boxing blue print but they have also made their sport more entertaining than it's predecessor. Face facts, boxing isn't making as much money as it once did & the HW division in boxing is a joke. MMA currently promotes better fighters & events than boxing.
@Immortalsyn83 Did u say MMA promotes BETTER fighters than boxing? And are you arguing that MMa makes MORE money than boxing? And are u arguing MMA has been around LONGER than boxing? If thats your argument, then u need to do ur homework son. Although I agree boxing's heavyweight division has died, our lightweight-light middle weights have plenty of superstar fighters. Pacquiao & Mayweather alone draw more PPV than UFC as a whole.
@AadamZiaAli Boxing has the biggest draws, but fall short every year in annual buys so those two or three events a year compared to the 12-15 MMA events means yes MMA is currently making more money in US PPV than boxing. Pankration has been around thousands of years, which is a direct decedent to the sport of Vale Tudo & the sport of MMA. I watch both combat sports and the best fighters & fights happen in MMA. Boxing has many great past fights but MMA is putting on better current events.
@Immortalsyn83 ya ok in the ufc if you can lay on top of someone for 15 minutes your a good fighter. and i watched ufc f and its the same shit over and over again. but if your into guys sweating on top of each other good for you lol
@NLBoxer102 Learn to grapple & get the fucker off of you just like Cain did to a much larger & better grappler in Brock Lesnar. If your a punk bitch that is just going to let someone sit on you then you deserve to lose. Machida isn't physically stronger or better at grappling than Randy, Tito or Rashad but they can't take him down because he has amazing takedown defense. You have 15-25 min to prove who the better fighter is... game plans are more interesting in MMA than boxing.
@Immortalsyn83 ya you wanna explain to me how gsp is able to do it too every fighter also cause i seen hes striking at it is shit. hes 1 dimensional also but hes 2nd p4p mma's best
@NLBoxer102 Anderson is MMA's P4P best, GSP is scared of fighting Anderson. GSP was KO'ed by Matt Serra, nobody says GSP is known for his striking. He is working hard to improve it but as every boxer knows it doesn't happen over night. MMA fighters have their own form of boxing, many of the traditional head moments leave you open to get a high kick to the face or eat knees. GSP is an exceptional fighter, his grappling & scrambling are amazing but he as much work to do on his standup still.
@NLBoxer102 I agree with the Manny & floyd thing but I don't think GSP is overrated at welterweight... moving up for him though would be a very bad mistake.
@Immortalsyn83 hes not a great striker at all i know he trains with freedie roach but when he was fighting jake sields i wasnt impressed 1 bit with hes striking i seen him throw one hook and the rest of the fight it was double jab over hand . he looked very 1 dimensional too me. and i dont like what he stands for he doesnt put up exciting fights all e does is do enough to win and hold the title each fight thats why id rather watch a tyson or pacquiao fight cause they go out to finish fights
@NLBoxer102 I agree Anderson is much more talented all around than GSP which is why GSP moving up in weight to fight Anderson IMO is an extremely bad idea. GSP is a natural welterweight & dominates this division, he wants to test himself because he has cleaned out his division but I don't see him having the same success at middleweight.
@Immortalsyn83 what do you define as a better fighter? An tell me what UFC are better then boxers? Also how can u argue MMA puts on better events when th numbers don't generate what mega fights do in boxing? How do you define a better event? Boxing & UFC attract DIFFERENT crowds, thats fact. With UFC, the fans find the barbaric KO's "more entertaining" where as boxing fans find it much more aesthetically pleasing watching 2 fighters use their fists to open each other up and knock eachother out.
@AadamZiaAli Any fan that watches & follows both combat sports will tell you the best fights happen in MMA. Boxers are the best in the world at boxing but they are far from the best fighters. All that bobbing & weaving would open them up to eat a kick or knee in the face which is why traditional boxing doesn't work in a full body combat sport. Kickboxers murder boxers; grapplers molest them; bjj guys snap them in half & MMA guys do all the above.
@Immortalsyn83 The punch is the fast movement of attack. A boxer would land a blow on ur chin before you can raise your leg. UFC fighters can't take or throw a punch. They get knocked out with 4oz gloves whilst boxers can knock each other out with 10oz gloves. Defence and the jab is fundamental to any effect so how is bob and weave ineffective? What's ineffective is UFC fighters rolling on the floor and jumping off cages. Lol & my point was not who would win a fight, thats not what i was arguing
@AadamZiaAli In MMA they call that a strikers chance... every fight starts on the feet. Saying MMA fighters can't throw a punch is an ignorant statement when more KO's happen in MMA. The power generated by a boxing glove is only slightly less than an MMA glove. When you bob & weave you leave your head open to get kneed in the face or kicked in the head with a chin. Petis landed his cage wall kick; so it was effective & I am not sure how to respond to your rolling on floor comment until I saw it.
@Immortalsyn83 boxing KO's are purely based on striking. The KOs by strikes in UFC are not even fractional when compared to the knockouts in boxing. As I already pointed out, the punch is the fastest movement of attack, therefore kicks and knees are ineffective. As soon as you try and lift ur leg, a boxer would have rained 10 blows across ur head and body. In UFC there's plenty of rolling on the floor trying to score a rear naked choke or what not, that is not even feasible in a fight.
@AadamZiaAli Clearly this isn't the case in MMA since every boxer gets taken down & sub within a minute or two. Boxers are not even the best stand up fighters, they have lost to kickboxers & muay thai fighters for decades. Boxing as an art has too many holes to stop a great fighter that trains in all aspects of standup. As for grapplers that know BJJ that is death to any boxer, tell Toney; Mercer & Botha chokes are not feasible in a fight. If it wasn't feasible it wouldn't happen now would it?
@Immortalsyn83 no man my friend is a kickboxer a he went up to WAKO world and came in 3rd and has a kickboxing record of 10 -1 he started training in boxing for a while now and hes 1- 2
@Immortalsyn83 boxing is way harder to compete in then any other sport and fighting 12 3 minute rounds is harder then 5 5 minute round i know this cause ive trained doing both
@NLBoxer102 I still don't understand why you would even spar for 5 rounds in MMA if you haven't even had one MMA fight. Fighters don't normally train for 5 rounds unless they are gonna be fighting for 5 rounds. Either way 5 round of MMA that include grappling & all aspects of MMA against someone as strong or stronger that will push the pace such as a grinder type athlete will get you sucking gas at the end of round 1. Kickboxers don't push pace the same, until you fight a grinder you don't know.
@Immortalsyn83 because if you train more rounds and more minutes then a regular fight your gonna be in better shape for the fight . you obviously know nothing about fighting and have no fighting experience and your trying too tell me which is the better sport? get the fuck out of here
@NLBoxer102 Boxing has the most completion I am not arguing that, but both sports are apples & oranges and training is in the individual not the sport. People at CSW in Fullerton under Erik Paulson train 6 days a week from morning till night but they train how they will fight. I know Barnett trained like he was possibly going to be fighting in 4 round since he is in that heavyweight grand prix. They set his workout cycles to mimic four 5 minutes rounds. What gym did you train at? MMA record?!
@NLBoxer102 Fighters do this so their body is conditioned to go for the exact amount of time & leave everything they have in the duration of the bout. Sorry I took so long to reply, 8 limb muay thai... I looked it up & there aren't any world champion MMA fighters that train at this facility. Erik Paulson also trains Brock Lesnar; Barnett (as stated before) & Renato Sobral. I am not saying he is the best in the world but this is how he trains champions as does Greg Jackson.
@Immortalsyn83 thiers a IKF worlds champion thier. why dont you go have a couple of boxing fights and mma fights then tell me which is the better sport
@NLBoxer102 That's like saying play hockey & football & tell you which sport is better... they are drastically different sports, its preference. Boxing still has more competition but that doesn't make it a harder sport. IMO it's like making the comparison between greco roman wrestling vs free style... both are similar yet one is tailor made for waist up throws & the other allows trips & slams... In this case I would always chose the more dynamically exciting sport which would be freestyle / MMA.
@NLBoxer102 There is know better sport, we just went over its pure preference. I only disagreed at your assessment of training being the primary reason you believed boxing to be a harder sport when in actuality both combat sports are extremely tough at elite levels. I still don't think you can judge a sport off of a sparing match you had against a nobody & say sport A or B is any harder. Neither could succeed in the others sport without years of training. It's apples & oranges/checkers & chess.
@Immortalsyn83 ya and i dont think your opoinion on boxing is fair cause you havent tryed it out. you prefere watching mma but you cant say you prefere it in general cause you never done it yet. i prefere boxing more because ive done it and have all the respect in the world for boxing. now im not saying i dont like mma cause i like them both i just perfere boxing in general because i tryed both out
@NLBoxer102 Why does a preference have to be fair? I have watched much more boxing than MMA, for year's it was all I knew until around 96 before I even had seen MMA. I have done the proper due diligence on it since I became a fan & have realized these athletes work just as hard and IMO often deliver more dynamically entertaining fights. I like both as well but enjoy aspects of MMA more than boxing. The ground game BJJ/JJ; stand up arts from K-1 fighters; world class grappling.
@Immortalsyn83 most boxing fans are boxers themselfs and id rather watch boxers cause i cant pick much mistakes out but when i watch mma , yes it is exciting but i can see so many holes in thier boxing its crazy. all mma fans talk about how great strikers are like wanderilla silva but he cant even throw a striaght punch and another thing barely any mma fighters use angles which is key for boxing and pisses me off its little things like that makes me want to watch boxing more
@NLBoxer102 I think he is very exciting but technique wise he isn't as good as a world class boxer... but its his do or die attitude/aggression & killer instinct that has made him beloved by fans world wide including myself. This debate will never change either person's stance on the opposing sport because it's our personal preference.
@Immortalsyn83 i dont like him for a fighter one bit hes not smart at all nor has any skill hes just a retard and chris leben showed how bad he was last night
@NLBoxer102 Yah he didn't fight very well last night... all that time off gave him noticeable ring rust. I still respect him as a fighter but I think his time has come to hang it up. Leben was only ranked like 3 spots behind wanderlei so he hasn't really dropped too bad in ranking. I wasn't shocked Leben won, just surprised at how fast it happen.
@Immortalsyn83 hes not smart leben isnt a good fighterhe relys on hes right hand thats all he has in hes stand up what did wanderila do? he walked striaght into the right hand cause hes a fuckin idiot it doesnt have anything to do with ring rust or anything like that its just him bein a fuckin idiot hes boxing IQ is about 0 and hes horrible
@NLBoxer102 Leben is a top ranking MMA fighter... you are a fucking idiot if you don't think he is good. MMA isn't boxing moron... he clinched the back of his head & landed a fury of uppercuts which would be illegal in boxing. I don't care I still like both of em, & FYI both of them have KO'ed other fighters with lefts & rights, so to say he only has a right hand is very ignorant on you're part.
@Immortalsyn83 every fighter should have at least the basics of boxing. you think thier good fighters because you know absolutley nothing about fighting youve never fought or anything so for you too come here and call me igonrarnt a actual fighter ignorant your the fucking moron. you think because youve watched brock lesnars conditiong camp and all this bullshit that you know what your talking about. so am i the ignorant one here? your trying too tell a fighter that has done highschool wrestling
@Immortalsyn83 boxing and muay thai what is better but youve never done it yes you prefere watching ufc but you dont prefere it in general cause you have no clue what its likeexcept for what you see on tv so think about who your callin ignorant .
@Immortalsyn83 im talking about you being a hypercrite calling me ignorant even though ive done ground and stand up and youve never done jack shit. you know nothing about fighting incept for what you see on tv but yet your calling me ignorant.
@NLBoxer102 You don't know me & know what I have taken... you didn't even know wanderlei was a muay thai fighter apparently from your last comment. You are just a poser pretending to know what hes talking about, a keyboard warrior nothing more. Wanderlei didn't get KO'ed with a straight right, it was a left hook followed by four left uppercuts moron. In fact all the damage was with Leben's left hand, you clearly are delusional. As you said Leben only has a right hand? Maybe you need glasses...
@Immortalsyn83 sorry i had a fight but dont say now that your a fighter i called you out about 10 times saying your not a fighter and you didnt say anything so dont get on with any bullshit now. and if your so smart then i thought ufc fighters were suppost to know a little bit of everything which joe rogan said 100 times. and my last comment is look up mitchell ryan on facebook if im such a poser and look at my display picture faggot
@NLBoxer102 I find it even more sad if you truly are a fighter, that you would throw stones at better more proven athletes than yourself. I never said I was a fighter because I am not, however that doesn't mean I haven't had martial arts & HS wrestling training. The fact that you cant tell your left hand from the right makes it hard to take you seriously oh mighty boxing instructor. I never claimed any MMA fighter had better boxing, just more fighting skills in general at the appropriate levels.
@Immortalsyn83 Im 16 years old and youve never seen me box before so how can you say that hes a better athlete then me . honestly do you think what chris leben did too wanderllia siliva took much skill. you could of got someone off the street to do what he did wanderila he left him self completely open because he has NO defence. and its hard too take you serious because you know jack shit about fighting incept for what you see on tv . do you honestly think you know more about fighting then me?
@Immortalsyn83 ive fought for 4 years and youve never fought in your life your an ignorant cunt that knows nothing about boxing or mma you just like mma because it appeals more too you so know your going on this rant about mma but youve never had a mma fight in your life it really shows your ignorance. at least i have respect for boxing because ive actually done it unlike you.you cant tell me that mma fighters train just as hard or harder because thats a ignorant opoinion or that they have more
@NLBoxer102 You have some of the worst reading comprehension I have ever seen... I think you may have took too many shots to the brain already. I believe I said training is in the individual, & not the sport. I am getting tired of you misquoting or trying to put words in my mouth because I proved you wrong. I know plenty about MMA, it is one of my favorite sports. I think I can easily say with confidence a proven fighter is better than you are, grow up ffs. I am done arguing with you child.
@Immortalsyn83 HOW DO YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT MMA IF YOU NEVER FAUGHT BEFORE YOU FUCKING RETARD YOU GO BY WHAT YOU FUCKING SEE. YOUR IGNORANCE IS OFF THE FUCKING CHARTS IM 16 YEARS OLD I GOT A LONG TIME BEFORE I CAN FUCKIN GO PRO SO HOW THE FUCK DO YOU KNOW HOW I FIGHT. YOU ARE COMPLETELY FUCKING IGNORANT YOU DONT KNOW THAT UFC FIGHTERS TRAIN JUST AS HARD OR HARDER STOP GOING BY WHAT YOU SEE AND HEAR BECAUSE THAT IS COMPLETELY FUCKING IGNORANT I WAKE UP EVERY MORNING AND TRAIN AND YOUY DO JACK
@Immortalsyn83 SHIT SO SHUT THE FUCK UP AND ACTUALLY GO FIGHT THEN YOU CAN TALK TOO ME YOU IGNORANT FUCKING PRICK. THE ONLY THING YOU TOLD ME WAS BROCK LESNAR TRAINING CAMP WHICH IS WHAT YOU SEE ON UFC ALL ACCESS BECAUSE I SEEN IT ON TV TOO BUT THIER IS MORE TOO FIGHTING THEN THAT BUT YOUR COMPLETELY FUCKING IGNORANT. I COULD SAY GO LOOK AT MIKE TYSONS CAMP BECAUSE I SEEN THAT HE TRAINS HARDER BUT IM NOT GONNA SAY THAT BECAUSE I DONT LIVE WITH THE FUCKING GUY AND ITS COMPLETELY FICKING IGNORANT
@Immortalsyn83 HOW COULD YOU SAY YOU PROVED ME WRONG WHEN YOU DONT EVEN FIGHT AND I DO. ALL YOU HAVE SHOWN IS THAT YOUR A IGNORANT CUNT AND NO NOTHING ABOUT THE SPORT JUST BY WHAT YOU SEE ON TV. I KNOW WHAT ITS LIKE TOO ACTUALLY FUCKING DO IT SO I KNOW MORE THEN YOU SO SHUT THE FUCK UP IGNORANT FAT FUCK
@NLBoxer102 Stop trying to save face weeks later by blurting shit out bullshit because I really don't give a fuck about you. You aren't even old enough to fuck yet lead alone think you know something about fighting when you clearly can't even tell the difference between a left & a right hand yet. I am done having a battle of whits with a teenage moron... have a nice life jackass. Maybe if you talk really loud you will magically become right.. but don't hold you're breath.
@Immortalsyn83 i lost my virginty when i was 14 but it doesnt matter what does that have too do with anything cause ill always have bigger balls then you im a real warrior ill actualy fight your a little pussy whos too scared the fight you called me a keyboard warrior. hahahahaha you ignorant prick you didnt prove me nothing incept how much of a fucking idiot you are you called me out calling me a keyboard warrior i proved you wrong you said mma fighters train just as hard or harder but have no
@NLBoxer102 You claim MMA fighters don't train hard? Here is a clip of another champion boxer saying otherwise... 1:10 into the interview "To me they train just as hard as boxers if not harder" Bernard Hopkins~ watch?v=IIFEW2vQy3Y
@Immortalsyn83 no but you dont know thats how bernard actually feels that way he could just bein sayin that ccause i can find videos of him calling ufc a gay porn too. my problem is you no NOTHING about boxing so how can you compare mma to boxing when yolu dont even kno boxing?
@NLBoxer102 I love how it takes you a week to think long & hard of something ignorant to respond with but your argument again is flawed as usual because those where old & he just attended UFC 133 last week. Obviously his opinion has shifted since he also commented he wouldn't be caught dead at a MMA event. Your problem is you're a virgin & far too dumb to argue with someone a decade older than you. Boxing is a single fighting art; MMA is all fighting arts, both contest with rules!! respect both
@Immortalsyn83 on youtube and making yourself look like a fucking idiot argueing with a 16 year old ether grow a set and do the fucking sport or shut your fucking mouth
@NLBoxer102 You are too dumb to make a logical argument. You are the keyboard warrior because you claim they have zero skill yet you hold how many world titles? BTW I said Wanderlei* is an exciting fighter, you are the one that rattled off about his skills. You called me out, claiming boxing what the hardest sport combat sport. I've still yet to see any professional boxers take a MMA title, neither sport is harder IMO. You also said I don't like boxing yet I have boxing videos on my favorites.
@Immortalsyn83 dude you honestly just called me stupid? think about what your saying you said a boxer never took a world title in mma THEY ARE BOXERS not mma fighters and if they were good boxers they never would of made the transition too mma moron. boxers switch too mma cause its easy money for them ufc has signed a fighter with a 0-0 record can you say fucking joke any louder then that? and im 16 years old get that through your fuckin head thats why i have no titles you must be drewling out
@NLBoxer102 Look I don't care about you, stop messaging me... Cry more about UFC giving a contract to Khadjimourat Gatsalov, he has a mountain of gold medial in wrestling. MMA is a platform to showcase skills & abilities of all champion caliber athletes in full body combat. Wrestling is a great base for MMA, not all athletes transition well to other combat sports. Vitali Klitschko for example was knocked out twice in kickboxing. Head kicked out cold in 93 by Reid & again in 95 by Van Roosmalen.
@Immortalsyn83 skills because youve never done it your opoinion is biased as fuck and it means complete jack shit cause youve never actually done it. honestly tell me how you know that mma fighters train just as hard or harder from your own experience
@Immortalsyn83 i never said how i train routines . i said i spared 5 5 minute rounds before your not listening to what im saying cause you dont understand fighting you just go by what you seen on ufc all access or the internet go get a couple of fight on your record then you can talk too me
@NLBoxer102 I acknowledge your statement, but I am just saying this isn't how many professional MMA fighters typically train for fights. Get a professional MMA win & then come back & talk. You sound like an ignorant boxing fan trying to be a poser. My friends have been sparing partners for pro fighters at CWS. One used to teach grappling techniques as he was a Olympic trials runner up in freestyle. I never claimed to be a fighter but I've seen first hand how many fighters do train for MMA bouts.
@NLBoxer102 You are right, what could Bernard Hopkins, Ray Mercer or myself possibly know about boxing or fighting more than you the super pro... I'm sorry I bought that up, they have probably never boxed as hard as you a day in their life. t(*.*t)
@Immortalsyn83 wrestling isnt mma dumbass the actually sport of mma wasnt around tell the 90's and they just had a huge card in the HW divison in germany.
@NLBoxer102 You're about as sharp as a marble, I never said at any time wrestling was MMA. By definition mixed martial arts is a blend of combative arts much like Pankration in 648 BC which featured a combination of grappling and striking skills. The UFC was inspired by vale tudo tournaments in Brazil, the US did not create MMA in 1993. As I said before I refuse to have a battle of wits with an unarmed person... You're all proof scientists need that evolution CAN also go in reverse.
@Immortalsyn83 pankration is not the thing as mma dumbass or it would have the same name still thier was obviously different rules and limitations. and for you dissing the HW divison they sold out a massive stadium in germany and had a big ppv buy in sounds like a joke too me. get your facts striaght before you diss boxing your dissing a sport youve never done before thats just complete ignorance for a guy who thinks hes the guru of mma and boxing
@NLBoxer102 Research MMA lineage, it's roots are traced back to Pankration. It was a sport that lasted over 1000 years, founded as a blend of striking & grappling which is by definition any mixed martial art sport. As far as rules UFC started without rules, ball punching was even allowed in a few early events but it evolved. Much like we adopted boxing from London, MMA was adopted from Brazil. I watch the klitschko vs haye bout, I like both sports but that event was lackluster to put it nicely.
@Immortalsyn83 dont come here after all the shit you said about boxing and then say you like it but mma was nothing until the ufc you cant thank dana white for the sport it became but the sport really wasnt born tell the 2000's
@Immortalsyn83 cmon now no one watched mma tell ufc you know that 99% of mma fans cant name mma fighters that traced back then the sport really wasnt born tell the 2000's you can thank dana white for that. and its still not the same sport thier was obviously different rules and limitations. thats like if you seen a bare fist fight happen outside or a hockey fight the same thing is happening but you cant call that boxing its not the same thing thiers different rules and limitations.
@NLBoxer102 Dioxippus won several Olympic games & became friends with Alexander the Great. Some accounts claim he defeated one of Alexander the Great's soldiers named Coragus (who fought with weapons and full armour) armed only with a club. The definition of MMA is a blend of combative arts which is exactly what Pankration was during its time & it was a sporting event not a street fight. I do thank UFC & the Gracie's for bringing MMA to the US, I'm even happier UFC signed a 7 year deal with Fox.
@Immortalsyn83 the only reason you know this is off the internet #1 and you can ask 99% of mma fans and they wont fuckin know who dioxippus or pankration is . its not the same sport there are a lot of things out there that have the same idea as boxing but is not the same thing like how stupid are you , it doesnt have the same name its not the same sport or it would be copyright get that through your head.
@Immortalsyn83 honestly do you understand how iggnorant your bein its like comparing hockey to basketball and youve never played a game of each sport yet thats just stupid you cant diss something untill you actually try it so before you talk shit about which sport is better why dont you actually try it out. boxing is not dying or washed up by mma bro if it was they wouldnt have espn friday night fights every month or hbo after dark every month i always see boxing on tv still every night on TSN
@NLBoxer102 Hockey & basketball are team sports, I am not comparing them... I never said boxing was washed up or dieing ether, learn to read! Sounds about all you want to do is get emotional & try to argue irrelevant or fictional facts. I like both sports & I also never said one was better than the other but MMA happens to be my favorite combative sport. Which you enjoy the most is a personal preference & just because you are an uneducated doesn't mean 99% of the world is as well.
@Immortalsyn83 im comparing the sports too show your ignorance not too mma and boxing dumbass. and stop fuckin lying i remmeber you puttting a comment sayin that boxing was dying and that there takin it off PPV and you dissed boxng sayin that the HW divison is a joke and all this shit so stop trying to play fuckin innocent. and uneducated? i get my information actually from 1st hand experience not from the internet and fuckin tv like you so stfu. just because you gett your info off tv and
@NLBoxer102 You are comparing two team sports to show my ignorance of combative sports? Great example imbecile, I only said boxing was in decline which is the truth. Calling you a pea brain would be an undeserved complement. You are a child, you have not the slight most idea of experience or knowledge yet. Go back to your cave troll, I feel I am depriving some village of its idiot. Stop getting so emotional over nothing, I love both combative sports.
@Immortalsyn83 listen too what im saying here im NOT comparing the two sports get that through your head i was trying to get a point across but if you wanna be an asshole thats fine . me and you got in an arguement because you first off saying that the sport was gonna die and all this shit so stop lying. all you are is a keyboard warrior you probably get your dick wet from starting arguements on youtube and calling me dumb is just stupid when you try to act like a smart ass all the time just

Just stating the facts it's not rocket science
slexson09 3 months ago
@slexson09 More technique in mma? Kidding me? their standup is fucking terrible if you compare them to a muay thai fighter from thailand or a boxer.
cenerozzzz 3 months ago
@cenerozzzz
But remember there are other variables as to why
slexson09 3 months ago
@slexson09 Ah yeah that's true
cenerozzzz 3 months ago

Pro wrestling is even more popular than MMA, and MMA is going no where. so there..
Dimitri0809 3 months ago
@Dimitri0809 why would i want boxing to die? its a part of mma and always will be. and its not even that popular anymore. boxing best sport? haha no. and pro wrestling is not even close to the popularity to mma. mma is rising rapidly. ufc on fox put up to 10million+ views expected more after this week suck it bitch
dromezz1993 3 months ago
Let's make the record clear. Boxing video + Boxing haters = troll. Don't get it twisted young fools.
slexson09 3 months ago
The ONLY thing that gives MMA a bit of an "edge" is the way the matches are timed. 3, 5 min rounds allows people to go amazingly hard because they don't require the stamina to go 12 rounds as in boxing. If you used that blueprint on boxing you'd see guys ripping through eachother's faces with their gloves. Boxing can benefit by creating more condensed shorter fights with more activity. That would be hella more interesting than MMA even to MMA fans I'd bet.
slexson09 3 months ago
@slexson09 more stamina in 5 5 mins of striking and grappling than 12 3 mins of punching. plus they get alot of breaks in boxing
dromezz1993 3 months ago
@dromezz1993
A UFC fighter of today would collapse by the 8th round and not get back up.
slexson09 3 months ago
@slexson09 *naive....and Yes They are not even close to how fit MMA fighters are. try grappling for more than 5 minutes its harder than throwinf punches. I like to see a boxer survive a ground n pound attack while rocked badly. and no its not widely accepted that boxers r better conditioned than mma fighters. TROLLLL
dromezz1993 3 months ago
@dromezz1993
Your argument is a JOKE
slexson09 3 months ago
@slexson09 dude boxing is long gone its not what it used to be remember when boxing had a championship for free on tv? its been a while. ufc on fox put up to 10 million+ viewers. and obviously you are retarded when you say grapplers dont have stamina grappling is already proven to be more exhausting than striking. and mma is actualy older than boxing get your facts straight troll.
dromezz1993 3 months ago
@slexson09 LOL at your retardedness boxing is just punching. mma is punching kicking kneeing elbows wrestling bjj judo which is grappling like takedowns and defending them. plus groundwork and defending submissions. you dont know shit because your either a troll or just plaind dumb
dromezz1993 3 months ago
@dromezz1993
I could sit here & argue with you but I think an English class would better serve you.

dromezz1993 3 months ago
@slexson09 You say he had a naive comment then you claim UFC fighters would collapse by the 8th round?!? Ever hear of Chris Lytle or Nick Diaz? Pro boxer's rarely ever make it out of the first round in MMA & grappling requires more energy than anything! Using your entire body to constantly push & pull on top of striking is incredibly hard as is boxing. MMA requires tons of stamina & way more strength endurance, boxing requires a bit more cardio.
Immortalsyn83 3 months ago
@Immortalsyn83
They dont count
slexson09 3 months ago
All I have to say is the only ever interesting MMA matchups are the ones that are basically 3 round boxing brawl outs. When they go to the ground and roll around like a tangled up human cob web the fight becomes a snoozer. Wrestling tried to become big but fell flat for the same reason. People just aren't that interested in ground game which is the majority of MMA. So when you hate boxing, you are hating the only interesting component of your own sport.

AadamZiaAli 8 months ago
@AadamZiaAli MMA has been around as long if not longer than boxing & has already lasted over 1000 years in the original Greek Olympic games. Much like boxing's history MMA has legends & icons who will never be forgotten. UFC may have stolen the boxing blue print but they have also made their sport more entertaining than it's predecessor. Face facts, boxing isn't making as much money as it once did & the HW division in boxing is a joke. MMA currently promotes better fighters & events than boxing.
Immortalsyn83 8 months ago
@Immortalsyn83 Did u say MMA promotes BETTER fighters than boxing? And are you arguing that MMa makes MORE money than boxing? And are u arguing MMA has been around LONGER than boxing? If thats your argument, then u need to do ur homework son. Although I agree boxing's heavyweight division has died, our lightweight-light middle weights have plenty of superstar fighters. Pacquiao & Mayweather alone draw more PPV than UFC as a whole.
AadamZiaAli 8 months ago
@AadamZiaAli Boxing has the biggest draws, but fall short every year in annual buys so those two or three events a year compared to the 12-15 MMA events means yes MMA is currently making more money in US PPV than boxing. Pankration has been around thousands of years, which is a direct decedent to the sport of Vale Tudo & the sport of MMA. I watch both combat sports and the best fighters & fights happen in MMA. Boxing has many great past fights but MMA is putting on better current events.
Immortalsyn83 8 months ago
@Immortalsyn83 ya ok in the ufc if you can lay on top of someone for 15 minutes your a good fighter. and i watched ufc f and its the same shit over and over again. but if your into guys sweating on top of each other good for you lol
NLBoxer102 8 months ago
@NLBoxer102 Learn to grapple & get the fucker off of you just like Cain did to a much larger & better grappler in Brock Lesnar. If your a punk bitch that is just going to let someone sit on you then you deserve to lose. Machida isn't physically stronger or better at grappling than Randy, Tito or Rashad but they can't take him down because he has amazing takedown defense. You have 15-25 min to prove who the better fighter is... game plans are more interesting in MMA than boxing.
Immortalsyn83 8 months ago
@Immortalsyn83 ya you wanna explain to me how gsp is able to do it too every fighter also cause i seen hes striking at it is shit. hes 1 dimensional also but hes 2nd p4p mma's best
NLBoxer102 8 months ago
@NLBoxer102 Anderson is MMA's P4P best, GSP is scared of fighting Anderson. GSP was KO'ed by Matt Serra, nobody says GSP is known for his striking. He is working hard to improve it but as every boxer knows it doesn't happen over night. MMA fighters have their own form of boxing, many of the traditional head moments leave you open to get a high kick to the face or eat knees. GSP is an exceptional fighter, his grappling & scrambling are amazing but he as much work to do on his standup still.
Immortalsyn83 8 months ago
@Immortalsyn83 the anderson and gsp situation reminds me of manny and floyd. im canadian but i think gsp is wayyy overrated
NLBoxer102 8 months ago
@NLBoxer102 I agree with the Manny & floyd thing but I don't think GSP is overrated at welterweight... moving up for him though would be a very bad mistake.
Immortalsyn83 8 months ago
@Immortalsyn83 hes not a great striker at all i know he trains with freedie roach but when he was fighting jake sields i wasnt impressed 1 bit with hes striking i seen him throw one hook and the rest of the fight it was double jab over hand . he looked very 1 dimensional too me. and i dont like what he stands for he doesnt put up exciting fights all e does is do enough to win and hold the title each fight thats why id rather watch a tyson or pacquiao fight cause they go out to finish fights
NLBoxer102 8 months ago
@Immortalsyn83 but anderson siliva is extremly skilled he can go pro in any martial art
NLBoxer102 8 months ago
@NLBoxer102 I agree Anderson is much more talented all around than GSP which is why GSP moving up in weight to fight Anderson IMO is an extremely bad idea. GSP is a natural welterweight & dominates this division, he wants to test himself because he has cleaned out his division but I don't see him having the same success at middleweight.
Immortalsyn83 8 months ago
@Immortalsyn83 what do you define as a better fighter? An tell me what UFC are better then boxers? Also how can u argue MMA puts on better events when th numbers don't generate what mega fights do in boxing? How do you define a better event? Boxing & UFC attract DIFFERENT crowds, thats fact. With UFC, the fans find the barbaric KO's "more entertaining" where as boxing fans find it much more aesthetically pleasing watching 2 fighters use their fists to open each other up and knock eachother out.
AadamZiaAli 8 months ago
@AadamZiaAli Any fan that watches & follows both combat sports will tell you the best fights happen in MMA. Boxers are the best in the world at boxing but they are far from the best fighters. All that bobbing & weaving would open them up to eat a kick or knee in the face which is why traditional boxing doesn't work in a full body combat sport. Kickboxers murder boxers; grapplers molest them; bjj guys snap them in half & MMA guys do all the above.
Immortalsyn83 8 months ago
@Immortalsyn83 The punch is the fast movement of attack. A boxer would land a blow on ur chin before you can raise your leg. UFC fighters can't take or throw a punch. They get knocked out with 4oz gloves whilst boxers can knock each other out with 10oz gloves. Defence and the jab is fundamental to any effect so how is bob and weave ineffective? What's ineffective is UFC fighters rolling on the floor and jumping off cages. Lol & my point was not who would win a fight, thats not what i was arguing
AadamZiaAli 8 months ago
@AadamZiaAli In MMA they call that a strikers chance... every fight starts on the feet. Saying MMA fighters can't throw a punch is an ignorant statement when more KO's happen in MMA. The power generated by a boxing glove is only slightly less than an MMA glove. When you bob & weave you leave your head open to get kneed in the face or kicked in the head with a chin. Petis landed his cage wall kick; so it was effective & I am not sure how to respond to your rolling on floor comment until I saw it.
Immortalsyn83 8 months ago
@Immortalsyn83 boxing KO's are purely based on striking. The KOs by strikes in UFC are not even fractional when compared to the knockouts in boxing. As I already pointed out, the punch is the fastest movement of attack, therefore kicks and knees are ineffective. As soon as you try and lift ur leg, a boxer would have rained 10 blows across ur head and body. In UFC there's plenty of rolling on the floor trying to score a rear naked choke or what not, that is not even feasible in a fight.
AadamZiaAli 8 months ago
@AadamZiaAli Clearly this isn't the case in MMA since every boxer gets taken down & sub within a minute or two. Boxers are not even the best stand up fighters, they have lost to kickboxers & muay thai fighters for decades. Boxing as an art has too many holes to stop a great fighter that trains in all aspects of standup. As for grapplers that know BJJ that is death to any boxer, tell Toney; Mercer & Botha chokes are not feasible in a fight. If it wasn't feasible it wouldn't happen now would it?
Immortalsyn83 8 months ago

NLBoxer102 8 months ago
@NLBoxer102 I still don't understand why you would even spar for 5 rounds in MMA if you haven't even had one MMA fight. Fighters don't normally train for 5 rounds unless they are gonna be fighting for 5 rounds. Either way 5 round of MMA that include grappling & all aspects of MMA against someone as strong or stronger that will push the pace such as a grinder type athlete will get you sucking gas at the end of round 1. Kickboxers don't push pace the same, until you fight a grinder you don't know.

NLBoxer102 8 months ago

Immortalsyn83 8 months ago
@Immortalsyn83 thiers a IKF worlds champion thier. why dont you go have a couple of boxing fights and mma fights then tell me which is the better sport
NLBoxer102 8 months ago
@NLBoxer102 That's like saying play hockey & football & tell you which sport is better... they are drastically different sports, its preference. Boxing still has more competition but that doesn't make it a harder sport. IMO it's like making the comparison between greco roman wrestling vs free style... both are similar yet one is tailor made for waist up throws & the other allows trips & slams... In this case I would always chose the more dynamically exciting sport which would be freestyle / MMA.
Immortalsyn83 8 months ago
@Immortalsyn83 ya it is prefrence but you havent even tryed any of them out and your trying too tell me which is the better sport?
NLBoxer102 8 months ago
@NLBoxer102 There is know better sport, we just went over its pure preference. I only disagreed at your assessment of training being the primary reason you believed boxing to be a harder sport when in actuality both combat sports are extremely tough at elite levels. I still don't think you can judge a sport off of a sparing match you had against a nobody & say sport A or B is any harder. Neither could succeed in the others sport without years of training. It's apples & oranges/checkers & chess.
Immortalsyn83 8 months ago

Immortalsyn83 8 months ago
@Immortalsyn83 most boxing fans are boxers themselfs and id rather watch boxers cause i cant pick much mistakes out but when i watch mma , yes it is exciting but i can see so many holes in thier boxing its crazy. all mma fans talk about how great strikers are like wanderilla silva but he cant even throw a striaght punch and another thing barely any mma fighters use angles which is key for boxing and pisses me off its little things like that makes me want to watch boxing more
NLBoxer102 8 months ago
@NLBoxer102 I think he is very exciting but technique wise he isn't as good as a world class boxer... but its his do or die attitude/aggression & killer instinct that has made him beloved by fans world wide including myself. This debate will never change either person's stance on the opposing sport because it's our personal preference.

@Immortalsyn83 i dont like him for a fighter one bit hes not smart at all nor has any skill hes just a retard and chris leben showed how bad he was last night
NLBoxer102 8 months ago
@NLBoxer102 Yah he didn't fight very well last night... all that time off gave him noticeable ring rust. I still respect him as a fighter but I think his time has come to hang it up. Leben was only ranked like 3 spots behind wanderlei so he hasn't really dropped too bad in ranking. I wasn't shocked Leben won, just surprised at how fast it happen.
Immortalsyn83 8 months ago
@Immortalsyn83 hes not smart leben isnt a good fighterhe relys on hes right hand thats all he has in hes stand up what did wanderila do? he walked striaght into the right hand cause hes a fuckin idiot it doesnt have anything to do with ring rust or anything like that its just him bein a fuckin idiot hes boxing IQ is about 0 and hes horrible
NLBoxer102 8 months ago
@NLBoxer102 Leben is a top ranking MMA fighter... you are a fucking idiot if you don't think he is good. MMA isn't boxing moron... he clinched the back of his head & landed a fury of uppercuts which would be illegal in boxing. I don't care I still like both of em, & FYI both of them have KO'ed other fighters with lefts & rights, so to say he only has a right hand is very ignorant on you're part.
Immortalsyn83 8 months ago

NLBoxer102 8 months ago
@NLBoxer102 You don't know me & know what I have taken... you didn't even know wanderlei was a muay thai fighter apparently from your last comment. You are just a poser pretending to know what hes talking about, a keyboard warrior nothing more. Wanderlei didn't get KO'ed with a straight right, it was a left hook followed by four left uppercuts moron. In fact all the damage was with Leben's left hand, you clearly are delusional. As you said Leben only has a right hand? Maybe you need glasses...
Immortalsyn83 8 months ago
@Immortalsyn83 sorry i had a fight but dont say now that your a fighter i called you out about 10 times saying your not a fighter and you didnt say anything so dont get on with any bullshit now. and if your so smart then i thought ufc fighters were suppost to know a little bit of everything which joe rogan said 100 times. and my last comment is look up mitchell ryan on facebook if im such a poser and look at my display picture faggot
NLBoxer102 8 months ago
@NLBoxer102 I find it even more sad if you truly are a fighter, that you would throw stones at better more proven athletes than yourself. I never said I was a fighter because I am not, however that doesn't mean I haven't had martial arts & HS wrestling training. The fact that you cant tell your left hand from the right makes it hard to take you seriously oh mighty boxing instructor. I never claimed any MMA fighter had better boxing, just more fighting skills in general at the appropriate levels.
Immortalsyn83 8 months ago
@Immortalsyn83 Im 16 years old and youve never seen me box before so how can you say that hes a better athlete then me . honestly do you think what chris leben did too wanderllia siliva took much skill. you could of got someone off the street to do what he did wanderila he left him self completely open because he has NO defence. and its hard too take you serious because you know jack shit about fighting incept for what you see on tv . do you honestly think you know more about fighting then me?
NLBoxer102 8 months ago
@Immortalsyn83 ive fought for 4 years and youve never fought in your life your an ignorant cunt that knows nothing about boxing or mma you just like mma because it appeals more too you so know your going on this rant about mma but youve never had a mma fight in your life it really shows your ignorance. at least i have respect for boxing because ive actually done it unlike you.you cant tell me that mma fighters train just as hard or harder because thats a ignorant opoinion or that they have more
NLBoxer102 8 months ago

Immortalsyn83 7 months ago

Immortalsyn83 4 months ago
@Immortalsyn83 dude you honestly just called me stupid? think about what your saying you said a boxer never took a world title in mma THEY ARE BOXERS not mma fighters and if they were good boxers they never would of made the transition too mma moron. boxers switch too mma cause its easy money for them ufc has signed a fighter with a 0-0 record can you say fucking joke any louder then that? and im 16 years old get that through your fuckin head thats why i have no titles you must be drewling out
NLBoxer102 3 months ago
@NLBoxer102 Look I don't care about you, stop messaging me... Cry more about UFC giving a contract to Khadjimourat Gatsalov, he has a mountain of gold medial in wrestling. MMA is a platform to showcase skills & abilities of all champion caliber athletes in full body combat. Wrestling is a great base for MMA, not all athletes transition well to other combat sports. Vitali Klitschko for example was knocked out twice in kickboxing. Head kicked out cold in 93 by Reid & again in 95 by Van Roosmalen.

@Immortalsyn83 i never said how i train routines . i said i spared 5 5 minute rounds before your not listening to what im saying cause you dont understand fighting you just go by what you seen on ufc all access or the internet go get a couple of fight on your record then you can talk too me
NLBoxer102 8 months ago
@NLBoxer102 I acknowledge your statement, but I am just saying this isn't how many professional MMA fighters typically train for fights. Get a professional MMA win & then come back & talk. You sound like an ignorant boxing fan trying to be a poser. My friends have been sparing partners for pro fighters at CWS. One used to teach grappling techniques as he was a Olympic trials runner up in freestyle. I never claimed to be a fighter but I've seen first hand how many fighters do train for MMA bouts.

@Immortalsyn83 wrestling isnt mma dumbass the actually sport of mma wasnt around tell the 90's and they just had a huge card in the HW divison in germany.
NLBoxer102 6 months ago
@NLBoxer102 You're about as sharp as a marble, I never said at any time wrestling was MMA. By definition mixed martial arts is a blend of combative arts much like Pankration in 648 BC which featured a combination of grappling and striking skills. The UFC was inspired by vale tudo tournaments in Brazil, the US did not create MMA in 1993. As I said before I refuse to have a battle of wits with an unarmed person... You're all proof scientists need that evolution CAN also go in reverse.
Immortalsyn83 6 months ago
@Immortalsyn83 pankration is not the thing as mma dumbass or it would have the same name still thier was obviously different rules and limitations. and for you dissing the HW divison they sold out a massive stadium in germany and had a big ppv buy in sounds like a joke too me. get your facts striaght before you diss boxing your dissing a sport youve never done before thats just complete ignorance for a guy who thinks hes the guru of mma and boxing
NLBoxer102 6 months ago
@NLBoxer102 Research MMA lineage, it's roots are traced back to Pankration. It was a sport that lasted over 1000 years, founded as a blend of striking & grappling which is by definition any mixed martial art sport. As far as rules UFC started without rules, ball punching was even allowed in a few early events but it evolved. Much like we adopted boxing from London, MMA was adopted from Brazil. I watch the klitschko vs haye bout, I like both sports but that event was lackluster to put it nicely.
Immortalsyn83 6 months ago
@Immortalsyn83 dont come here after all the shit you said about boxing and then say you like it but mma was nothing until the ufc you cant thank dana white for the sport it became but the sport really wasnt born tell the 2000's
NLBoxer102 6 months ago
@Immortalsyn83 cmon now no one watched mma tell ufc you know that 99% of mma fans cant name mma fighters that traced back then the sport really wasnt born tell the 2000's you can thank dana white for that. and its still not the same sport thier was obviously different rules and limitations. thats like if you seen a bare fist fight happen outside or a hockey fight the same thing is happening but you cant call that boxing its not the same thing thiers different rules and limitations.
NLBoxer102 6 months ago
@NLBoxer102 Dioxippus won several Olympic games & became friends with Alexander the Great. Some accounts claim he defeated one of Alexander the Great's soldiers named Coragus (who fought with weapons and full armour) armed only with a club. The definition of MMA is a blend of combative arts which is exactly what Pankration was during its time & it was a sporting event not a street fight. I do thank UFC & the Gracie's for bringing MMA to the US, I'm even happier UFC signed a 7 year deal with Fox.
Immortalsyn83 6 months ago
@Immortalsyn83 the only reason you know this is off the internet #1 and you can ask 99% of mma fans and they wont fuckin know who dioxippus or pankration is . its not the same sport there are a lot of things out there that have the same idea as boxing but is not the same thing like how stupid are you , it doesnt have the same name its not the same sport or it would be copyright get that through your head.
NLBoxer102 6 months ago
@Immortalsyn83 honestly do you understand how iggnorant your bein its like comparing hockey to basketball and youve never played a game of each sport yet thats just stupid you cant diss something untill you actually try it so before you talk shit about which sport is better why dont you actually try it out. boxing is not dying or washed up by mma bro if it was they wouldnt have espn friday night fights every month or hbo after dark every month i always see boxing on tv still every night on TSN

dromezz1993 6 months ago
@NLBoxer102 Hockey & basketball are team sports, I am not comparing them... I never said boxing was washed up or dieing ether, learn to read! Sounds about all you want to do is get emotional & try to argue irrelevant or fictional facts. I like both sports & I also never said one was better than the other but MMA happens to be my favorite combative sport. Which you enjoy the most is a personal preference & just because you are an uneducated doesn't mean 99% of the world is as well.
Immortalsyn83 6 months ago
@Immortalsyn83 im comparing the sports too show your ignorance not too mma and boxing dumbass. and stop fuckin lying i remmeber you puttting a comment sayin that boxing was dying and that there takin it off PPV and you dissed boxng sayin that the HW divison is a joke and all this shit so stop trying to play fuckin innocent. and uneducated? i get my information actually from 1st hand experience not from the internet and fuckin tv like you so stfu. just because you gett your info off tv and
NLBoxer102 6 months ago
@NLBoxer102 You are comparing two team sports to show my ignorance of combative sports? Great example imbecile, I only said boxing was in decline which is the truth. Calling you a pea brain would be an undeserved complement. You are a child, you have not the slight most idea of experience or knowledge yet. Go back to your cave troll, I feel I am depriving some village of its idiot. Stop getting so emotional over nothing, I love both combative sports.
Immortalsyn83 6 months ago
@Immortalsyn83 listen too what im saying here im NOT comparing the two sports get that through your head i was trying to get a point across but if you wanna be an asshole thats fine . me and you got in an arguement because you first off saying that the sport was gonna die and all this shit so stop lying. all you are is a keyboard warrior you probably get your dick wet from starting arguements on youtube and calling me dumb is just stupid when you try to act like a smart ass all the time just
