They both are good. Depends on what you need. There is FMS in 757, 727 does not have one.

Probably 727 will be more FPS friendly, but it depends on your PC settings etc.

I bought both yesterday and the 727 is a HUGE FPS hog. I love it though. Its more of a hog than my PMDG 747 and that's saying something. I need to ramp back the settings. It's insane how detailed the 727 is. Well done guys!

There should be no problems with FPS if you have FSX SP2 installed. Otherwise you may check and change your settings.

Ok.. I think I need to lose the 'self-shadowing' for one thing. I have Acceleration/SP2. No problems usually. To be fair... the FPS was low in KSFO with the add-on from Aerosoft but then got better once I got to San Diego outside of that region. Still more of an FPS hit than my Aerosoft F16 which is a known FPS killer

Which one? There are 10 VC screenshots and 10 cabin screenshots... all are taken from the plane, and have not been "altered".

depends on switch configuration. There are something like 12 or 15 individual lighting settings inside the VC. Backlights only on the captains gauges, or on the FO's gauges, or on the FE's gauges, overheads, fluorescents, etc. There's even a separate backlight for the mag compass.

Nice, ever since I saw "fog of war" episode in air crash investigation I wanted a VC with backlights. But it has to eat fps right? LIke the 757? The 757 is awesome.

Well, as with anything, the more eye candy you want to see, the slower it will tend to go. I get about the same FPS on the 727 and 757. I tend to run most of my settings very high, so I pay the price, but if I made everything outside the cockpit look terrible, I could get reasonable FPS with both. I don't worry so much about the numbers, more about how smooth it is overall, and mostly they're both very smooth.

yeah all I care about is the pops and jerks of fps. But things become painful when start getting 8 fps. That makes it literally a sideshow.

I order 727 Captain Pro but got the Legancy 727, now I keep emailing Captain Sim with not avail. I liked Captain Sim a lot untill you have a problem they never seem very helpful. All I get is the same email sending my the wrong aircraft for FS9 when I order FSX. My word to you is that Captain Sim is ok IF you don't have a problem because if you do they are horrible PR people.

This is a different product. The one you are talking about is 'Legendary 727', the one used in video is '727 Captain'.
