  • I love this song she has a beautiful voice

  • somethings should stay the same, and somethings need to change.beyonce,is not a acurb, she can sing,(live) dance, act, produce and much much more.these other artist i love them ,i am a 80ds child but please don't take anything from beyonce.maybe some of these other kids ,but not her..

  • if beyonce is talent then music is dead

  • @algthedrill Quite so!

  • @algthedrill Beyonce is getting worse. She can sing and she has the ability to produce good music....You are right tho because music today cant compare to music from the 70's, 80's or 90's.

  • Always, Always, Always....this joint will ALWAYS be a greatest hit!!! I love it!

  • you all need buy all of her CD's you all will love it

  • Her voice it hypnotic.. i feel like im drifting off into a trance

  • i love this lady's voice show em how da sang rachelle.

  • I LOVE this song! It's like a reworking of Aretha's "Till You Come Back To Me (That's What I'm Gonna Do).

  • what she does is BEYOND sangin.......sayin she's dopE insults her crazy, insane talent!!!!

  • Myex and I seperated, I recorded this on my answering machine, if he called he would here this fantastic vocalist singing what I was saying and meant AND HE CAME BACK! he expressed his love and could feel the emotion through this song HOW BEAUTIFUL thanks Rachelle you are a gifted ARTIST!!!!!

  • WHen I hear this song I am in audible heaven for 4 minutes and 38 seconds...I forget about EVERYTHING

  • Annointed!

  • beautiful!!

  • HER MASTERPIECE.

  • Soooo Smooth! Rachelle's voice soothes the savage beast! When I hear this song it puts me right back in H-Town with my wife cruzin' around 610 Loop/I-45/I-59 South, Buffalo Speedway. Fresh love reborn, the radio, and my first new car. A dodge red 1988 Dodge Colt called 'Phyllis'. Ms. Ferrell can GO! Luvin' the throwback memories and playin' it again!! Thanks for posting.

  • She's a Natural!!

  • i heard this on WAtercolors this morning...gorgeous tune, but I think it sounds familiar...did someone else do this in the 80's?

  • Comment removed

  • Let me just say Rachelle is RI-DAMN-DICULOUS! I'm gone.

  • Rachelle is a BEAST....and her range is BANANAS!!!!

  • I agree. Comparing Beyonce (although she is talented in her right and I have a tremendous respect for her as an artist) to Rachelle is liking comparing tupperware to fine china. Ferrell goes beyond singing and entertaining, she's a premiere instrument and vocalist embodied. Keep working at it young artists.

  • @atlfordham well said

  • OMG i have not seen this in so long

  • URGH! SHE DOES NOT GET THE CREDIT SHE DESERVES. IT IS VERY IRRITATING AND IT'S NOT EVEN MY CAREER LOL. Her voice is just..crazy octave range. power. runs. depth. control. creativity. substance. she just.. -stops- i don't understand the world.

  • Rachelle's vocal talent and personality is so vast that she defies categorization. That's the first thing I noticed when I saw her live. Her sound and her music encompass a far ranging spectrum of soulful, profound musical expression and she uses her voice like a finely tuned instrument. Truly talented musicians and singers recognize that she's a true diamond in their midst. and a joy to perform with on stage.

  • Where is the Love button to click?

  • Rachelle is the truth. She used to sing back-up for Phyllis Hyman..and you know that is not an easy task.

  • omg those lips! just one kiss rachelle, lol

  • This song even went to #19 on the R&B charts late 1992...would probally never happen today.

  • this entire album is my life.

  • @KenaPH45 - Right on about that HONEY CHILD!!!! I love her!

  • Love this song - the studio mix put too much on her voice unnecessarily. She's got fabulous-fabulous organic voice presentation

  • 1;09 is that mrs jerri from the martin lawrence show

  • what a beautiful song! rachelle's got a great voice and she looks gorgeous in this mv

  • This is real music. It is not the horrible rnb that is on the radio now a days. Thanks for this post.

  • @rickydepths1 I remember when this was on radio/tv (BET) back in 92...times sure have changed!!!!

  • Dam she gets down

  • AL & RACHELLE WOULD SURELY B "MAGIC"!!

  • omg this is the real deal.. shes respected but underated this is music.. when i hear the word music i think of this.. i miss music like this..i miss when people were real and vibes and energy's were great.. the 90's put it down...it brought out the last good days of true music and people.. i miss it i miss it.. but its not here anymore..so all i have to live off is memories and photos..thats just as great

  • & Yes my SISAH I have a couple working "CD" titles for you. Think I bettah send them to email bcz U might not check FB & I don't (triggah) Twitter...lol! Sistah Merry Terry Davis-Nicholson

  • Her musical Brothers were all “top of the mountain” with surround sound in-between her phenomenal vocals. ‘M talk’n ‘Bout Grown Folks music! She snuck in the birthday song w/a lil’ Ice-cream cake and candle. The bestestess Birthday (earth day) that I can recall in my 57 yrs. Sistah “Merry Terry”

  • The Incomparable Sistah, SISTAH RACHELLE FERRELL is the Fa' Real Deal! Gurleene I "Cain't Wait" till the new release arrives!!! OMG! She sangah this cut at The Catalina Jazz Bar & Grill ~ 4/7/11 ~ monumental moment she asked for some background, heard me; unselfishly handed the mic into the audience & I sang a lil' 'Til You Come Back To Me 2 her! I believe she was pleasantly surprised to hear herself come to her (hee hee in her laugh).

  • I will NEVER 4get the first time i heard this!! Took my breath away

  • I said before and I will say it again, music is just not the same now! You do not here good music like this anymore!

  • @bradleymoorer my bad...*hear* :)

  • i love the faces she makes!!!!!!

  • This is the song that got me hooked on Rachelle Ferrell. I have seen her in concert twice. Her showmanship is OUTRAGEOUS, and her vocal range is off the chart! I saw her in So,Orange, NJ and Jill Scott was in the audience. When Rachelle invited her up on stage, I thought I had died and gone to heaven.

  • @57rocki Couldn't you see her and Al Jarreau on stage together?

  • you look at her career and you can see how many sold their souls to get where they are. theres no reason why someone this abundant with talent hasn't reached a greater audience (especially in the states)...

  • I was trying to find this song and I finally know who sing this song. neat! thanks for the post.

  • i love her voice!!!!!! big fan!!

  • what happen to this rachelle her new look is UGLY!!!! she looks crazy wtf!!

  • @LovableNails She's older, more in touch with her natural side...

  • I like this.

  • MAN I LOVE THIS SONG. I GO TO SLEEP TO IT EVERY NIGHT. SHE IS LIKE SO SLEPT ON IN THE U.S.

  • Man I love this song. I go to sleep to it every night. She is like so slept on in the U.S.

  • i miss this kind of music we need more soul back vh1 soul is the only place to watch this good ol stuff

  • I love Rachelle she is my favorite female artist cant touch this !!!!!!!

  • Rachelle Ferrell has got to be the QUEEN of facial distortions while siniging, lol! But, oh man, it's so good! This is what PURE singing is!

  • She is so gifted, it's rediculous! I could listen to her day in and out.

  • a cross between toni braxton and anita baker

  • @MrTroyShawn Hear me loud and clear

  • she killed that performance on Soul train awards!

  • @amarvinwinansfan You know she did!

  • @amarvinwinansfan Indeed. She ROCKED DAT. I would love to see her in concert

  • This is my jam!!! 100% Feel Good Music.

  • I don't feel the need to denigrate any other artist while trying to give some deserved love to an underrated artist . I'm finished getting emotional because talent and success often bear no relationship to each other. Not all popular artists are without talent. I, for one, think Beyonce is very talented. What we're talking about my girl Rachelle here, is just a different level IMHO.

  • I love this woman....her voice this song...bad to the bone..

  • rachelle is amazing... but this was watered down rachelle aimed at a pop market... it's a pretty song... but rachelle is so much, much more than this....

  • wonderful song / i love her voice

  • beautiful!

  • She sings so effortlessly!!!

  • AMAZING!!!!!!

  • I don't think an Angel could sing any better !

  • THE PUREST VOCAL INSTRUMENT ON THE PLANET

  • I love her....Her voice is amazing. I thank my mom for exposing me to this type of music....

  • A fan forever and a day...such a beautiful voice.

  • She is simply awesome. Very beautiful voice. This is a real music artist.

  • on top of all of this voice, she is a beautiful lady. very beautiful. like i know y'all see those dimples and lips.

  • Mmmh I could listen to Rachelle all day long and never get tired of this song and I think i have lol

  • Aaah the beautiful Rachelle Farrell. Her silky smooth sultry voice is always pleasing to listen to. How I love it so, Real music yall.......

  • Been listening to Rachelle since back in the day and fell in Love with her singing. If I had to pick a top singer it would be her with her range there is no one out there who can top her that I know of. Her songs have always been deep and Soulful that people can relate to. Today music Cannot even come close to what Rachelle puts out. They need to take note and learn.....

  • Love this song! This entire CD is awesome!

  • This was the song that turned me away from hip hop, I was 18 when this came out. Real music.

  • she is great singer, i dont think she egts the credit she deserves, i saw her in houston last year, my wife is her biggest fan , they took photos together.. my wife is jazz singer check her out, her name is jarmonica

  • I heard RF first at the North Sea Jazz Fest. Maybe '92. And now she showed up in the sidebar to a Dee Dee Sharp song. Here there is Aretha Franklin to the right. I am glad to see RF is always in the company she deserves.

  • Stimulateing !!!

  • How can you NOT love her voice? I was singing this song when I was a little girl, my mom's looking at me like: "What do you know about this"? Lol!

  • This Honey drive me crazy

  • It is rare today to fine a singer song write of her talent. I will forever love her musical gift and I hope and prey she will forever cherish what god has given her. The music world can not afford to lose her as we have lost Whitney Houston!

  • Totally amazing !!!

  • reminiscing on the good ole days with the good ol3 music&good singers. smh. miss it.

  • When this cd first came out I remember my mom would wake up on Saturdays and clean playing this cd over and over again.

  • i love you rachelle...i love you!

  • Classy!

  • @LG kids in your real music list you forgot to mention unrated Phyllis Hyman and Lisa Fisher...now she was another unrated artist. She sang background vocals for Luther! Others that need be named include Alicia Myers, Angela Bofill and Patrice Rushen. I know real music!

  • @GreenSax7 , I know you do and you should have left your list in my in box! You know I like to smile and say "show you right"! I miss Luther and Lisa getting busy on stages all across the world! Heard Alicia Myers the other day and just smiled and sang along! Love Angela and Patrice, such musical female geniuses, who don't get the credit that they give these no jills today! One of the no jills even got a "Behind the Music" and hasn't even been in the game ten years! Peace!

  • wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Awesome

  • WOW !!!

  • 5 stars for the very talented Rachelle Ferrell *****

  • I am in my 40's and I tell my kids and other kids they missed the real fun the 80,s and 90,s music was something you could listen to and it would get you thru the day or bring you back to reality if you had a hard day. It is sad what they listen to and consider it to be real music. Last but not least Racelle Never got the recognition she is a BEAST I have just been watching her videos trying to figure out where is that coming from she almost sounds like a walking instrument.....

  • I like her vocal range!

  • she is the miles of the mic. the lady al jarreau.

  • I became hip to Rachelle Ferrell back in 1992 while living in Dayton, OH. People call her the 'Anita Baker' of the 90's. I like her jazzy R&B style. Let a brutha know if she's single :-)

  • She is so underated

  • And by the way Real Music is, Luther when he graced the mike, Patti when she graces the mike, Stevie when he has you in awe, Jill Scott scat, EWF, Quincy Jones, the Dude and Michael as he danced and sang! The crackling of the 45 or the LP, Tammi Terrell going toe to toe with Marvin, The Temps, Will Downing low on the bass, Brian McKnight, Ella! You want the dictionary version of real music or your peers version! If Real RF fans got someone to add to the list, feel free!

  • hauteboitv, you just didn't have anything to write and you come for LGKids! You put vocalist and benosay in the same sentence? Act like a Rachelle Ferrell and close your eyes, enjoy the real music style and don't make comments that people will look at the scene sideways on! In fact I'm looking sideways and laughing at the same time! benosay, and great vocalist in the same sentence, I miss Katt Williams too, but I leave the jokes to him!

  • Beauty Rachelle singing beautiful song!!!!! :)

  • This is real, raw talent that will last forever & ever. Rachelle can sing. It's looks as if it comes as natural as breathing. That's real.

  • She's a remarkable singer and this is one of those mellow jams that relaxes me. I am feeling this jam! Good music from the 80's and 90's is a must.MIC32one out!!!!

  • LOVE-LOVE-LOVE this song ! and what a fabulous cd it is ! 5*****

  • MY god what happened to sweet music like this??? My very soul is torn apart when I turn on the radio! i have been a fan of music from day one but now this crap they play now is disgusting and immorally wrong! bring back the good music please!!!! stop trying to please sluts and hoes, bring back the PURE ART OF REAL SOUL!!!!!!

  • Great sound, great voice I love it !

  • Love this - first time I ever saw or heard of Rachelle was back in 92 during a trip to Chicago when this was released

  • oohhhhh! my song!

  • everyday ,I play it everday ............I wote you letters you sent them back.........

  • @TheHippycat That line hit me too!!!Never happen to me but it made the song interesting .( shallow, i know, hey what ever sells cds huh?)

  • love it

  • People thought I was crazy. In high school for bumping this more. Instead of the r&b/hip hop at the time. c/o 1992

  • i bet u got the ladies tho too huh?? man.. i was in the 2nd grade in '92.. but i was groovn then and NOW! lol

  • Shes so GREAT!!!!Used sing background 4 Phyllis Hyman, that tells you something right there!!! Actually i cant imagine her being in background, guess u gotta start somewhere.Anyone know how to go about being a backup singer, its what i wanna do!!!!

  • @iluvrachellef...I did NOT know that...thanks for that tidbit. Yeah, ya gotta start somewhere..Luther sang background for ROBERTA FLACK. She saw how huge his talent was and "lovingly fired him" so that he could begin his own career. And the rest as they say...is history.

  • You can do it. Even though ' Vesta ' was a background singer for ' Chaka Khan' she was successful. ' Jill Scott' was a backup for ' Erika Baddau'. You go get your exposure, & remember that If you don't talk about it, but be about it, & put it out there, you can do it! I hope that you will acknowlege positive people like myself are trying to support you. YOU DO IT, take care, Rick ames.

  • I remember when Rachell first hit the scene! I played this CD from start to finish ALL THE TIME! There wasn't a song on the CD that I didn't like. She truly has a rare gift that can never be replicated. I love her dedication to her craft and her determination not to be controlled by the industry. She has all the creative freedom she wants bcuz she has unmistakable talent that ANYBODY can recognize. She will always have a fanbase that will support her in all of her musical endevors.

  • I had the opportunity to see her in person when this album came out. All I can say is that she brought the house down. Amazing Amazing.

  • i always hear that same comment, that they dont make music like they used to. in my opinion now days music is made for money not for the love of the art. i am not saying these artists dont love what they are doing its just they love money more. truly good music i feel comes from the heart not the head. i am from philly and there is a hus wife group by the name of kindred. they write some heartfelt music but its not commercial enuf to be played on the radio 20 times aday.

  • i remember when my dad used to play this cd lik EVERYDAY!! and now im 25 and i love it!! omg..

  • ahahah and i´ve been a fan since 1990

  • I've been a true fan since 1991,love her vocals and range.

  • I loVVVVV her.. What a voice. I been a fan since i was in high school 92

  • A silk voice / Delicate beauty !!!

  • Heart warming.....

  • Her voice is very addicting. Its easy to get hooked!!

  • Yeah this is good soul music

  • the woman with the instrument in her mouth, my girl!

    can do no wrong

  • She is amazing!!!!

  • Nice.

  • I LOVE HER! A BIG FAN!

  • Thank you SO much for posting this...I absolutely Adore her ..What a voice...she really moves me....xo

  • The music, the song, Rachelle, even the video sound so current even today and will continue so for a long time, especially to those who appreciate really good music. The sound of her voice tugs at my heart and I can feel everything she is trying to express through this song. George Duke of course does a wonderful job producing this song...

  • This is real music! Benosay(that's beyonce for those that don't know) is short changing these kids of today and so is the rest of her so called special school district other tryers! They are not old school, middle school or even new school! That's why they fall in where they fit that space! Peace to all of RF's fans and maybe, just maybe real music will come off of vacation and return true talent to a lacking music world of today!

  • @LGKids wish I could vote this up 1ll trillion, gazillion multi.....you get me !!! lol

too think this caliber of talent and music used to be the "norm" ( it still is for me)

    I'm just saying!

  • @Retta353 , your comment made the rest of my year and put a big smile on my face, after a long day! Much peace to you and you know I gotta speak on behalf of real music and it's lovers and lovettes! Peace!

  • @LGKids Peace....glad to be able to help a fellow music lover!

  • @LGKids What is REAL MUSIC? Ive been R.Ferrell fan 4 years, but just because You have no interest in today's Popular music, does not mean you should discount it as not being REAL MUSIC. I think Beyonce is a great vocalist.(not the best Lyrical content) but the talent is there,as well as J.Sullivan, C.Michelle So many others. This is the most ridiculous statement. I HOPE YOU AREN'T A MUSICIAN saying this, because if so you should understand that MUSIC EVOLVES and MUSIC incorporates various GENRES

  • @LGKids

This is what should be selling 2x Platinum.

  • @ESSENCEOFEACHTHING , "show your right"! They ain't ready for real music and not ready to get rid of sex this, and sex that songs! Class has it's place, trash music only last for a minute! Peace!

  • @LGKids "Benosay!" Lol, I like that. Bottom line, if it wasn't for singers like Rachelle, Oleta Adams, Anita Baker, etc. pacing the way, no body would've been givin' her much play. Don't get me wrong Beyonce has a voice, and yes she can sing, but she's terribly overrated and commercial to the point to where u don't even wanna hear her anymore!

  • @Orbot , "Show Your Right! and much peace to the Soul Train Awards for coming correct on the Anita Baker Thang! I was sanging right along and I am sure we all were, after all we know the songs like the back of our hands! Peace to you and all the RF fans out there! And I didn't forget about Oleta, that voice, that voice, that voice! And songwriting skills!

  • @LGKids 4sho'! Anita Baker, Rachelle Ferrell, and Oleta Adams, are like my main 3 divas that I truly feel! Now I love the Legends Like Patti, Dion, Aretha (r.i.p), and Gladys, they truly paved the way, and I love them too always. But, these 3 ladies can REALLY teach these so called singing lil' girls of today, Miss Beyonce chick included, what it ruly means to sing from the SOUL!

  • @Orbot Aretha's not dead.

  • @antigoniem06 Whew! Cool, I don't know why I kept hearing ppl say that! If it were so, you know it would've been all in the news ofcourse! :-)

  • @Orbot because ALLEGEDLY she had pancreatic cancer and there's a slim chance of survival, but Aretha said herself that she did not have pancreatic cancer. I think she was diagnosed by one doctor and went to go get a second opinion, and she never had it in the first place.

  • @antigoniem06 Oh ok! Well pancreatic cancer truly is one of the harder cancer to diagnose. The late actor Partrick Swayze died from it, a very well known gosepl singer and pastor, Bishop Walter Hawkins also died from it, also I believe Apple CEO Steve Jobs has/had it, but due to cacthing it early enough, he was one of the luckier ones and got treatment for it. Well, I do know having alot of weight on ur body also can contibute to some cancers as well., as Aretha IS a big gal, lol!

  • Beautiful song from a beatiful singer !

  • THIS WOMAN CAN SING HER ASS OFF!!!!

  • Listening to Rachelle makes me smile ear to ear. She could sing to me all day long.

  • This was Her 1st Video Aired. I still have it on VHS Tape.. I have Red Hot Chilli Peppers, TLC. I ain't to Proud to Beg, Mary J Blige all those Artist was out in 1992... What a Great year of Music...

  • u should transfer it to dvd and post it up

  • @ harlemknight94

:) Hey, will have none of that now lol
