Had to watch these few vids again.... iv'e now had the maschine 6months and these vids sold it to me. Magical vids when you think that these also sold you a maschine Tasherre... Legendary vids man
@93n371cfr34k No the computer is basically the brains and the controller is the just tells the computer what you want it to do. The beauty of it is that it's so easy to pick it up and work it that it makes beat making an organic experience. I'm coming from an MPC and Maschine beats the pants of it. It's so much more powerful.
what i never understood about this: what if i wanna make a complete song together with logic?? when i have made some patterns in maschine - how do i change/switch them for an arrangement and stuff??
@lexamazing Yepper. I actually bought it the day I shot this video. Since then I've been the #1 seller of Maschine in my region. Maybe even the country.
@Joshie909 No, it comes with its on software that makes it an mpc. (just strictly for the computer). Maschine also doubles as a controller for almost any program. So templates are built in but you can build your own as well.
@DreToonz Despite I don't have both, I wouldn't say that the drums are better, but it comes with a LOT of very nice drums + sampled instruments (6.5 gb now), so the Maschine would be a better choice over the XR20 for sure, plus, you get an amazing integration with your DAW
Im buying a Maschine but its kinda cheesy, I just want to see what the hype is about, but Im a die hard MPC fan, The thing that sold me on Maschine was the fact that it reads Rex2 files...
Nice demo bro. Real quick, say if I wanted to use Mashine on the go. Is there anyway to map my Laptops keyboard (Like awsd) as the midi? I couldn't get Maschine to recognize.
i have had my maschine for a month, have just been able to find time to learn it, this video is great, the thing rules. and this should be a product demo for the thing. godbless.
wat would u recommend for a good vst host... just wondering because i want to use something that easy..... check out my video if u get a chance, i like alot of synth and crazy complex drum patterns......
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
This thing is a piece of shit being that it's OS is total crap since the os is the brains of maschine that makes it worthless. plus 2 mpc's are way way more reliable and have a better feel and over all vibe to them. the maschine os is descent when it comes to sequencing but quite honestly Ableton, Logic, Cubase in addition to a mpk or mpd is 100 million times better. maschine is a great concept with a long way to go.
i had an roland mv 8800 who allready is STILL much better then any mpc... and I sold it to get an NI maschine... the maschine is da bomb.... I tell ya...
I would not prefer this over MPC for several reasons, but I use my MPC with midi channel control Komplete/Battery. Plus, I can take the MPC with me, sketch the beat and when I come back to link the midi channels to the sound in Komplete/battery. Just a hint, especially if you have a mpc already. It's all good, buddy.
All you guys be the judge, go and try mpc, mpd and maschine and actually use it. dont be afraid of some idiot guy at the music store, tell him to fuck off, because he prob cant even afford either, and thats how i was treated when talking about these products, i dont listen to anyones dog shit ok,. im over my rant now guys, look if any of you wanna talk to me about stuff just post here or pm me, id be really happy to try tell you and honest approach of this. thanks guys and all the best.!!!
Cause the thing is this guys, i spent so much of my time listening to idiots at music stores, idiots on youtube, idiots everywhere.
You have to go with what YOU think is the best guys, and im telling you know honestly from my heart, MASCHINE rips all, seriously why buys a fucking 5000 to use the synths? seriously. groove box is a groove box, its not a personal computer, you either keep producing 16 bit audio on the mpc 1000 2500, or you buy maschine and be able to sample and create up to 192khz
To spend so much time playing around with the crappy fruityloops sampler and so forth or to play with reason 4, its just not as good as maschines sofware or the DAW interlink, its just not. and unless you actually go and buy one or sit around and play with it, no youtube video is going to make you get horny over it really. infact all the youtube vids of maschine suck, they are fucked up. the best maschine vids are the NI ones, its what sold it to me, and im glad i purchased this and not a AKAI!
and even still using a mpd with your DAW, you are limited to your DAW and your plugins,
what cool sampling and so forth plugins do we have really that are that good or can be compared to an MPCs style of sampling.... YOU HAVE 1. thats prob the new MOTU BPM< that thing is pretty good and personally i would compare MPD32 with MOTU BPM to a MASCHINE< pretty much now this would be the only comparrison, but if you like sexy things and love your anal sex, then the maschine actually does rip the MOTU
mpd 24 yeh ok that thing was alright, mpd 32 yeh you got afew nicer buttons and some stupid extra cool looking colors, if you know how to use your DAW properly , which you cannot compare maschine to, maschine has made its own sofware and can be completely linked into any DAW anyways, you cant do that with a MPD, no matter how much you want to say you can, you cannot, unless akai create their own software, which they wont
now before some jew jumps in, im talking about the screen of your monitor ok with my reference to color.
ok now what else, you have a better way to sample, the colors, the beats are clearer, what you can see that you couldnt see on a mpc as hard as you tried you can see on the maschine, wether its the screen or the monitor, its better ok, ok well i think my mpc crap is over for now in my train of thought.
lets talk about the mpd, well the mpd is good yes but maschine kicks its ass,
these maschines are so much more than mpcs, because they are totally software integrated. the little shitty gimp screen on the mpc 2500 or 1000 or that tryhard new type they tried with the 5000, the maschine shits over it, the 2 double screens are way clearer, not to mention you have a full color screen with more options and sections than any mpc to this date can offer. im not a mpc lover or a NI lover i hate NI, but the maschine is def one of the best things ever to happen to us musicians
i dont know who is comming on here from akai talking down the maschine or watever, but i sat at a studio comparing the pads of the maschine to a 2500, 1000, 2000xl and 5000, and i have to say the pads are better on the maschine, all i can say is i hope that there is no problem over time with the maschines pads, and that they may be replaced if needed.
next lets talk about midi , well the maschine actually offers the same midi as the mpcs do, because as you might not know they are updating 24/7
it has effects the same as the mpc, more effects infact and actual ways to implement more as its software based.
honestly i mean around the time the mpc was made we were just starting to sex products like windows xp, we are now almost nearing win 7, and most of the controllers and keyboards software wont even work with this stuff, maybe if its big name they will update it, but they wont bother with stuff really.
ok now to my second point, the pads, the pads actually feel better on the maschine
everyone on youtube, day in, day out, talking shit on the maschines vs the mpc's I have afew things to say...
mpc, first of all almost 10 years old, more money than the maschine, totally fucked for using on a pc unless you have time to gimp around with alot of annoying settings and the lame usb that is hosts. not to mention you cannot use it as a controller like the maschine,
I guess you're asking about things that have been actually sampled. Mostly drums. But I don't use it for the factory sounds. I have a ton of my own sounds I use with it. But, if I do use factory sounds, I tweek them.
This is a whole different type of instrument. in my opinion is does waaaaaaaaaaaaay more and quicker. The soundset is trully different from Kontakt. But If I'm now mistaken you can import Kontakt sounds into Maschine.
