i am about to dump all the files so i can install 64bit OS... if i back up my hard drive will my data still stay.... Also i have Hard drives so can i put all my data into on drive PLZ ANSWER!!!!!!

So after I make the disc . Do I have to do the back up the hard drive thing as well ? SO the disc will not restore a computer unless you do the second thing you done with backing up the hard drive ?
@GloriousOtaku My computer is dual booted with windows xp and windows 7. I am starting to use windows xp for my tutorials (unless win7 is needed), to simplify the layout of my tutorials
