  • cool wer will mit mia schreiben

  • who is the drummer?

  • @KMFDMtoRULE it's in the vid description, John Desalvo

  • Ma questo era un tour con i Rammstein?

  • hey são os cara do Rammstein

  • This Is what I call "real" music. God damn!

  • KMFDM at its best, with its best members, why oh fucking why was i born in 92

  • @xatreyudollx It does hurt, being born in 1992. What with all the crap they call music we have to endure these days...

  • @desilusor :( Indeed!

  • They'll play a Show in L.A. on Monday Aug 8/11. Can't wait to see them again! Last time was in London '04 I believe...

  • Are KMFDM racist? does anybody know?

  • @ANOTHERHOLEINYOHEAD Why, Cause you think they? FOOL!

  • @TrippAngel Its a straight forward question, I have heard rumours that they are.

  • @ANOTHERHOLEINYOHEAD 1: To what race? 2: Early KMFDM they had an Afician-American in the band

  • @ANOTHERHOLEINYOHEAD no, you should read some interviews with members of kmfdm and read something about the band biography

  • @0thcentury I only asked that question because it was something I heard somewhere, obviously it was just a rumour.

  • @ANOTHERHOLEINYOHEAD ok! such rumours are sad... kmfdm is actually the opposite of racism!

  • is that till lindeman?

  • @gabrielschembri lol no :)

  • @MrGerolf no no now im certain, the guy at 1:45 is till lindemann

  • @L8JENOVA Now is that more Electro-Industrial or Industrial Metal? I myself prefer Industrial Metal because before I was a Rivethead, I was a Metalhead (which I still am). I love metal, industrial, heavy, progressive. I like Rammstein and Rob Zombie because it is a mix of Industrial and Metal, hence, Industrial Metal. Combichrist leans more to the Electro side (still love em though) and KMFDM is really a combo of the two styles.

  • Duh. The graphics must be so sucky that I thought it said "87", when in fact it says "97". Making my previous comment even more retarded. Sorry.

  • Not to split hairs, but, the video says "1987" and someone in the comments says they toured with Rammstein for this. Neither can be true. #1, this song was released in 1990 and Rammstein wasn't formed until 1994. So, this had to be after 94 I would guess. Not that it matters. Just sayin'..............

  • I think if I could have seen any show, it would have been when KMFDM and Rammstein toured together.

I got to see Rammstein last month, though, and I'm seeing KMFDM in August.

  • Fuck yah, KMFDM and Rammstein, that would be one KILLER show. Throw in Combichrist and Rob Zombie, fuck, one IndustrialFest. R+

  • @ThelemicMaoist93 That would be one damn killer show! I would throw in Aesthetic Perfection into the mix since they go well with Combichrist. :)

  • tim skold amazing

  • en esch is one sexy mofo.

  • @Sturmtrupp94 your right. I have this tape (bootleg). But i think because of the blurriness of this video the 9 in 97' looks like an 8.

  • Awsome upload! KMFDM in there prime.

  • yeah back then Rammstein was just an unknown baby.

  • KMFDM rule. I always try to get keybords in my band to.

  • The original Liebeslied is THE BEST!!! Please bring it back, someone. Please!

  • Tim Skold joined in '97.

  • @BoredWithSorcery

Indeed. But he could have played on tour with them, without writing any of the songs. 'cause that does look alot like him. Right instrument, right look, right attitude and sound...

    Could be wrong, tho.

  • WAS!?!? Sowas lief mal auf viva? Warum bin ich bloß so spät geboren?!?!

  • @Saibot216 oh cool thanks i wish i was there lol but i was only 4 at the time

  • @WestCoastRedneck93 lucky, i was one.

  • what are those guys throwing into the crowd @ 1:32 ?

  • @WestCoastRedneck93 demo cds

  • Till is not throwing demo C.D.s out, Rammstein was the headliner doing Sold out shows for 3 weeks in Oct of 1997 in Germany. KMFDM was the opening band. Till would come up onstage every night of the tour and watch 90% of the show from the wing of the stage.

  • @WestCoastRedneck93 Thats Rammstein man, throwing demo cassettes for sehnsucht into the crowd.

  • @WestCoastRedneck93 Till Lindemann(singer from RAMMSTEIN) and Richard Kruspe(guitarrist form RAMMSTEIN) . But in '87 they weren't on the band . The band is from '94 .

  • @WestCoastRedneck93 Till Lindemann - in black(singer from RAMMSTEIN) and Richard Kruspe - yelow (guitarrist form RAMMSTEIN) . But in '87 they weren't on the band . The band is from '94 .

  • @Schneider1997pt awww, Rammstein was just a baby with free demo CD's

  • @WestCoastRedneck93 "those guys"? That's Til and Richard from Rammstein.

  • Comment removed

  • Till looks so badass throwing those demos

live version of this and stray bullets are by far KMFDM's best tunes IMO

    Rammstein & KMFDM Fur Immer!

  • yup i think that was when they had the best line up :)

favorited the video so i can find it later hehe

  • Free Condoms for everyone... \m/

  • @SkoldMediarto

  • Would you by chance have the original file of this and be willing to email it to me?

  • @UYFANYM Sorry, I don't have the original file anymore, you can download the video though somehow...

  • @Saibot216 File2Hd.com.....

  • Do you have a higher quality version of this? Or at least a better quality audio track? I love this version over the album version so much more.

  • @UYFANYM I love this version more as well, but unfortunately this is the best quality I got, sorry.

  • Rammstein and Tim Skold!! wow!

  • this is when kmfdm was at their best

  • KMFDM LIVE `97.

    1997

    Nineteenhundretninetyseven.

  • Rammstein + KMFDM = epic win

  • TILL UND RICHARD :O !!

  • They should remake this song!

  • @FJuarez777

    Already have.

  • haha Till and Richard! how random was that!

  • *The video is from 1997

  • I met Sascha Konietsko after a concert a few days ago, got the band to sign a poster and he gave me the towel he was wiping his sweat with on stage... That was a good night...

  • @Lonewolfpackleader Fuckin lucky.

  • @Saibot216 He's a really cool guy :D

  • @Lonewolfpackleader Good to know! :)

  • @Lonewolfpackleader umm....his sweat towel, and you kept that? lol

  • lol they are useing a clip that was used in the begining of ministry's NO W vid...one of my fave ministry songs...if only it was allowed into the US....fucking facist pigs

  • @TheAmazeingAnarchist

Its called Copyright law & obviously you fail understand it & the concept of fascism as well. Might I suggest going back to school before you post anything else ignorant?

  • @PRY13 shure shure. i will...once your get out of puberity ;p

  • @TheAmazeingAnarchist

Again your ignorance can be fixed. But if it makes you feel better you aren't the one who has this problem. Chin up troll.

  • wwhats he throwing into the croud

  • @m3030078

Demo tapes from KMFDM with... 2 songs? I dont remember.

  • OMG! 1:33 That's Richard Kruspe in the orange shirt and Till Lindemann in the black! =DDDD

  • KMFDM sucks! \m/

  • Leibeslied= Loveslide in English? Sorry I don't speak German (well I'd like to)

  • Liebeslied is Love Song

    Leibesleid is Body Sorrow

Both versions are used in KMFDM songs.

  • @Saibot216

    Isn't Leibesleid = Physical Pain ?

  • @Enstamskruvlos Nope.

  • @Saibot216 YES IT IS!

  • @Saibot216

Leibesleid is physical pain, but this song is called LIEbesLIEd = love song

  • @Saibot216 Yes, it is. Enstamskruvlos is wrong.

  • @Enstamskruvlos

    Yes, it is.

    Leibesleid = Physical Pain/Suffering

    Liebeslied = Love Song

  • This is the apex of the KMFDM franchise. Prove me wrong.

  • Yes he is

  • en esch is oozing mda

  • was that Till from rammstein throwing that shit into the crowd at 1:45? pretty sure rammsteins first touring was with KMFDM

  • @ThirdEye871 Looks like him, woukd be great if Rammstein toured with KMFDM again.

  • yea i here you man, they may have since this tour i think they did a tour in 2005 or something together. now that they both have new material i would be surprized if they tour togetehr next year

  • ops said id be surprized if they toured together, i meant to say i wouldnt be surprized if they did. that would be the best lol

  • Does anyone can read what does Kaptn's sign says??

    "NOTICE

    Industrial

    .

    .

    .

    "

  • no En Esch upskirt shots BITTE BITTE BITTE!!!!!

  • I love this version better than the album version. The album version seems so slow and sluggish, but this one is more energetic and lively.

  • Same, the cassette version goes a little faster though. Maybe it's just my cassette player with Naive, but Friede is faster and has a higher pitch and Liebeslied is faster.

  • I love this version! <3

I can not find this entry in good quality.

With a concert made this record? Or what DVD was ripped?

  • If you look on google there is a site where you can rip audio from youtube.

  • The last album toured as "classic line-up" KMFDM

    Love this version!

  • best version

  • my favorite vid of the old school KMFDM ;)

  • Pretty dark and industrial for 87'

  • ....1997

  • Man I'm pissed off. They're coming here on Wednesday and I don't get to see it. D:

  • am I the only one who noticed the guys throwing shit is Rammstein?

  • No.

  • What are they throwing into the crowd at 1:35 ?

  • CDs

  • condoms!

  • Cant wait to see them this Saturday!!!

  • Same, this Saturday is going to be awesome. My first KMFDM concert and it's their 25th anniversary show!

  • Shut up >:, why can't they have a show in Sweden!?!?

  • Because Sweden is just too awesome! You guys with your 24 hours of sunlight during the summer... Soooooo jealous.

  • Because Sweden is the home of Sabaton.

  • 1997 or 1998

  • the guitar lick after the 'O Fortuna' sample is pure KMFDM. No-one does industrial funk better =D

  • Love it, Im like one of the oldest kmfdm fans!! See u all n ATL. OCT 24

  • Where did you get this footage?

  • Found it... on the internet...

  • Great Job!

  • I just discovered recently that these same lyrics appear in Hole In The Wall but in English :D

    "When I have to die..."

  • Comment removed

  • Und wenn ich also sterben muss, that's it

  • OMFG!! Till!!! lol I wish I could've been there to see Till and Sascha on the same stage XD

  • What a great alternate version of the song.

  • lol I love Sacha 's coat HAHAHA

  • John DeSalvo is probably the best drummer KMFDM has ever had.

  • The current guy does a fine job actually. I saw them live recently and he attacks the drumkit like it stole his woman.

  • that sentence right there totally should be included in a new version of Intro...

  • Agreed!

  • Andy Selway.

  • The master of skins?

  • Indeed.

  • the guy throwing something, was him till lindeman from rammstein?

  • yes it was till and richard

  • Indeed it was.

Till Lindemann, and Richard from Rammstein.

    A very long time ago.

  • YES, It WAS!

    AWESOME HUH :'D?!

  • Has anyone else checked out Skold's BEHIND THE PLAYER dvd that came out recently? I just bought the one with Munky from Korn and was blown away. Its actually Munky giving the lessons and he does a great job doing it!

  • Saw one vid online :P.

Wasn't exactly mindblowing but still xD.

I just wanted to see Sköld lol :P

  • lol Gunter is my music teacher

  • ???

  • DeSalvo's name fits him well. ~~

  • The demos Rammstein were throwing out would be worth a bloody fortune nowadays, dont you think?

theyd be worth even more to me... or anyone whos as big a R+ fan!

I wonder if Sascha and the lads are pissed off with them now that Rammstein are more successful...?

I hope not, I love them both...

  • Rammstein more successful than KMFDM? Commercially speaking they probably are, but Rammstein is far from being an industrial milestone like KMFDM. Rammstein is basically "just another band."

  • Commercially Rammstein are one of the most successful (European) groups of all time. Theyve sold millions worldwide.

No, theyre not an industrial milestone, maybe alternative metal milestone is more accurate.

Theyre not as caustic sounding as KMFDM. KMFDM has a definate sound, Rammstein's doesnt stick to any particular style.

Doesnt mean theyre any worse. Rammstein is still a pretty unique musical project.

Clearly KMFDM thought so, if they felt it appropriate to be associated with them.

  • "KMFDM has a definate sound." Is it a joke or something xD

  • I suppose definate 'genre' is more accurate.

KMFDM remained within the industrial genre, and later industrial rock.

However Rammstein are a little gothy, rock, metal, alternative, NDH, pop Industrial metal, whatever...

Theyre still a much better than anything 'Nu Metal', Indie, Dance or pop music ever produced...

Is it just elitism that makes you dismiss Rammstein as 'just another band'?

I know that most Germans see Rammstein that way. Theyre generally sick of Rammstein.

  • Thing is Rammstein's metal was quite good indeed but they kinda haven't done anything different in 15 years so no need to be german to be bored of it.

  • You people take this way to seriously, it's music, just fucking enjoy it!

  • when it comes to industrial music, half the fun is making a big huge deal about it over the internet!!!

    hahahaha!

besides, if you went up to Sasha Konietzko and told him it was 'just music' Im sure hed tell you to go get fucked! lol

  • Lol, there you go speaking for artists as if you were them :P

I think they would laugh at your attempts at taking them seriously, have you even ever listened to their lyrics?

  • true, I dont know their exacts thoughts on anything, Im not them after all.

Their lyrics might be satire, but its not like theyre completley apathetic, re politics and so on.

Im sure the artists of bands like KMFDM dont see themselves as the same breed as Lady Gaga, Kid Rock, or whoever else.

Im sure, while the lyrics are all a bit of fun, that they take their art seriously.

Listened to many of his interviews?

Ill tell you one thing, hes not politically neutral, therefore, serious!

  • KMFDM + Rammstein, that must have been a cool tour.

  • el grande en esch

  • I can get down with this! Thanks!

  • This is some classic shit and thanks for posting it. Being a long time KMFDM supporter, I actually think their new album is pretty sweet and I agree that Lucia does sound better. I asked the guys that run their site if they ever plan on doing a boxed set one day and if memory serves right, some dvd's and a possible definitive boxed set may be in the works for the future.

  • The best version of Liebeslied!

  • This is one of the best live versions i've ever heard

  • Rammstein's Till Lindemann and Richard Kruspe... in MY KMFDM???

    Fantastic....

  • i really, REALLY hope they play this live for their current tour...talk about a serious pit. does anyone here have the 20th anniversary dvd? this song is on there in a newer live incarnation, and i'm curious as to whether or not it includes the infamous sample.

  • someone should upload friede from this tour. I havn't seen that one for awhile...

  • I had Friede, but the sound and video were seriously fucked.

  • still it would be wicked to see. I remember it had some cool En Esch dancing in it.

  • The drummer is John Desalvo.

  • Could the drummer be Bill Rieflin?

  • That would be Sasha K playing the staircase... lol Also till looks really young in this vid where can we get these?

  • No, I meant the "real" drums, not the synth pad decks, lol.

  • No it's John DeSalvo.

  • You're right. Since this tour footage is from the Symbols era, it makes sense that DeSalvo was with them.

  • I'd SO love to see/hear Steve n Jools bust this one up... their guitar work is easily comparable to earlier members, don't care what ANYONE sez. Was a shame to see Ray go away too... I don't see them adding this back into their sets tho - it's ALL En Esch's song...

  • This pisses me off - Tim Skold is such a homo. He is the reason Classic KMFDM died and Nu KMFDM exists. En Esch, and Gunter were not into image. Skold friggin changed what he dressed like when he joined Manson. I friggin puke when I see any vids with him. Nu KMFDM stinks. Classic KMFDM SUCKS!

  • I feel your pain man. I wish kmfdm hadn't continued on without En and Guenter too, it just isn't the same. It still has all the intensity, but a large part of the fun is missing and they aren't nearly as entertaining live without en or ray fronting the band. Although the new album is actually pretty decent. Have you heard the new En Esch album? It's pretty rockin.

  • I agree that new KMFDM cant compare with old one, but you must understand if people are such great personalities they can go their separate ways after some time. There'll be no more 1992, no more 1997. Yes, I dont like present time, nineties were much better but they never return.

What so bad about Skold? I'm not his fan but SKOLD vs KMFDM is great!

  • Comment removed

  • I miss En Esch

  • I don't think that anyone here fully understands how rare and excellent this tour footage is. If you watch the official KMFDM DVDs, you'll notice that all the old live footage is bootlegged, where this is a legit television production. This must have been filmed overseas...Sascha should remaster this stuff and release it. This tour was the first time I saw them and I can't even begin to tell you how much it blew my 17-year-old mind at the time.
