When you purchase the locomotive pack does it get shipped to you in a form of a CD you put into the computer?

When I bought the loco pack, Ed from Ed's Trains emailed me a serial number to enter in the program for it to work. I downloaded it as a exe file, but I think you can get it on CD now.
