I grew up in Spencer, NY, a very town of about 3000 or so people and I remember trips to Owego feeling like trip to the big city hehe. It had a movie theatre, Jamesway, Montgomery Wards(or Woolworths?)and of course a McDonalds.
Twenty years since I've moved away and I still miss it.
Congratulations Owego! I lived outside the village for many years until I moved into a subdivision in "Endicott", and Owego definitely is a "cool town!"

I lived in Owego until I was 12 yrs. old and moved away 45 yrs. ago. I had the most wonderful childhood there and will never forget it. Owego will always be in my heart.

As I was watching this video I thought to myself, "That looked like Jeff". I read your comment and saw your username, so I guess I was right. I went to school with him. God I miss Owego and the Flats.
I have good feelings about Owego and this video touched on so many of them.The county fair was a highlight entering projects in the fair to try for a blue ribbon. 4-H groups helping the community. the good things done in Owego. these things were all pictured in this video along with the fun things in the area. I wouldn't call it funny but a fun place to be.
