  • I LOVE MOTOWN!

  • "Old Mother Riley Meets the Vampire," "Vampire Over London" and "My Son, the Vampire" are all the same film. The latter title was slapped on it when distributor Jack H. Harris sent it out in 1963.

In "The Blob", in the forecourt of the theater: a "Forbidden Planet" poster with Robby the Robot, with "Vampire & the Robot" across it.

The marquee says "Daughter of Horror Plus Bela Lugosi"-- "Daughter of Horror" being another b/w horror Harris handled.

  • Interesting bit of trivia. We're both talking about the same movie. It seems that they released it in the USA under the title of "My Son The Vampire" - which to be honest never made any sense :-) The UK title you refer to is the more sensible name!

Have you seen "Old Mother Riley In Paris" - another classic movie :-)

    Thanks for sharing your clip.

  • Excellent. That opening clip was from "My Son The Vampire" wasn't it? Arthur Lucan played the Mother Riley character so well - he was a very funny guy.

  • No. The clip was from Old Mother Riley Meets The Vampire.

As a very small child I used to really laugh a lot at Old Mother Riley.

  • One of my fav CC tracks.
