It is the closest modern equivalent of old norse, but there still quite a few differences ! You could roughly compare it to the difference between 17th century english to modern english.

@pedros1981 Everyone has ancestry they can be proud of. If I remember correctly many of the Hun tribes settled in the Balkans area after they brought Rome to it's knees. Not to mention the Ostigoths and the armies of Vlad the Impaler. You'll find pride if you look for it.
