Beautiful, just beautiful. Arthur has loved Gwen for so long now that I felt so happy that he FINALLY got the woman he loves. So many obstecles were set in their way but LOVE ruled in the end. A/G chemistry has been electrifying as usual.
I also love how Merlin is soooo happy for his dearest friends. Look at his proud face as he chants long live the queen. He has fought for A/G to find each other again and now his hard work has paid off. Well done Merlin, you shipper you.

Okay seriously. If the turth be told. The relationship between Merlin and Arthur is greater....No Denying that! When I saw the marriage between Arthur and Gwen, I really felt like it should've been between Merlin and Arthur. This entire episode, was soley based on the courtship between Merlin & Arthur. It was almost disappointing to see after all that beautiful chemistry between Arthur & Merlin, Arthur actually married Gwen...I guess they had to follow the story line.
@vickkyandme I guess you have some serious issues. There was no courtship between Arthur and Merlin. Theirs is a friendship fueled by intertwined destinies. Arthur and Gwen have a courtship that culminated in romantic love which is expressed by sexual intimacy. Which again is different from the agape shared by Merlin Arthur and Gwen. All 3 love one another...but only 2 Arthur/Gwen are in love. Hope that helped.

The music in series four has been absolutely outstanding. It just adds to the atmosphere. This scene was so beautiful, the best scene of this episode, IMO. Juat a pity we didn't get to see the wedding itself. MsMyope, Arthur wears that to all his special occasions. I am sure he has more than one in his wardrobe. Gwen's hair looked beautiful but maybe you prefer her curls coz I do. Yes, her dress was stunning, heck she was stunning and her crown is beautiful.

Lads can we be a bit logical here; firstly there is no need for the ship war; we are Merlin fans, not Twilight fans. Surely there are better points of discussion than that. Secondly the reason they didn't show Elyan in Morgana;'s visionw as because he wasn't knighted yet; that would have given away spoilers for the series 3 finale if it showed him and Gwaine knighted. Thirdly; Gwen and Arthur put up with a ton of crap this series so just let the writers finish with them on a Disney moment, ok?
I loved this scene so much! It was a great recall to the dream coronation last year, and yet the little touches that were added (Merlin looking supremely spiffy, the knights, Arthur's crown, etc) made it even more real! SO AMAZING!!
I'm not happy with how their relationship turned out:
1 As an Arwen fan, I have to admit that Merthur was better in this episode :(

3 Ep Sword in the Stone are good but not the best, they are way to filled with storylines & it takes of the opportunity of exploring them properly --> 4x12 Excalibur/Morgana, 4x13 Arwen/Queen centred
I just love it how Arthur says "By the sacred laws vested in me I crown you" in a really authorising voice, and then when he says "Guinevere, Queen of Camelot" he says it really lovingly and softly! Pure Perfection

What can I say that hasnt already been said upon here, Hmm? How about True Love never dies it can be stop in it's tracks or put on hold but in the end what's meant to be will be. Arthur&Gwen proved that with their wedding it felt like Gwenn was bathe in pure white gold almost overshadowing the sun, and Arthur. Great King&Queen Of Camlot KIng Of Dragons and Queen Of Hearts made you lived together Body&Soul as one like a Dragon's heart. As Camlot cheered LONG LIVED THE QUEEN AND HER KING!
oh, gosh, i think i haven't ever cried so much - for happiness! this was what i've been waiting since season two! I wonder why they decided to continue merlin? I mean, this coul've been the perfect ending for such a perfect show.

Pure perfection. I loved everything about it. Gwen's dress. Arthur's proud smirk when she kneeled before him. The score was wonderful and made this scene complete. So glad they didn't use the violins for this scene. I was nearly in tears watching these two finally come together after so many obstacles being thrown at them. I hope in Series 5 we'll get some much needed happy times for these two as they rule as husband/wife/king/queen.
@reevesdamn Not only that, but he also wasn't the servant at the ceremony. Rather, he was one of the guests, standing next to Gaius among the knights of Camelot and in front of many of Camelot's nobles.
Even after all the moments when Arthur has openly shown the respect he has for Merlin, this really is the icing on the cake. I don't expect that many nobles were happy to stand behind a commoner at their king's wedding.
It also makes you wonder how Merlin got those clothes... :-)

Okay seriously. If the turth be told. The relationship between Merlin and Arthur is greater....No Denying that! When I saw the marriage between Arthur and Gwen, I really felt like it should've been between Merlin and Arthur. This entire episode, was soley based on the courtship between Merlin & Arthur. It was almost disappointing to see after all that beautiful chemistry between Arthur & Merlin, Arthur actually married Gwen...I guess they had to follow the story line.

@vickkyandme I guess you have some serious issues. There was no courtship between Arthur and Merlin. Theirs is a friendship fueled by intertwined destinies. Arthur and Gwen have a courtship that culminated in romantic love which is expressed by sexual intimacy. Which again is different from the agape shared by Merlin Arthur and Gwen. All 3 love one another...but only 2 Arthur/Gwen are in love. Hope that helped.

So there is no mistake by people like you I mean those of you who try to turn a beautiful friendship into a homosexual relationship. As stated in my reply to you I love the friendship between Arthur Colin and Gwen as do most Merlin fans. Accept it for what it is instead of trying to twist it into something it isn't.

@snet819 It is what it is. The cast love the fact that each fan can get something else other than what is presented. Season 4 was all about Merlin/Arthur. Please watch it again...I beg you. There's no twisting in this season. Yes I love Gwen...forever. And I love the show Merlin. But season 4 was a georgeous gift for the Merthur fandom. Even if you don't want to admit it. :)

@vickkyandme Every season of Merlin is about Merlin's commitment to aid Arthur in reaching his destiny not one season or even episode has been about establishing a romantic link between the two. Who cares how long you stay around. It wont change reality. Arthur is straight and in love with Gwen. Merlin is straight and loves Arthur and Gwen and vice versa. Having your own reality just proves your sanity is tenuous at best. Good luck with that.

@snet819 ...And as a result of his "Aiding" the relationshp has developed into this beautiful love affair between the two, so much so that it resonates and surpasses the love between the intened couple...Authur and Gwen. The writers and directors were so captivated by the reaction from the viewing public, they had to put some delicious moments in season 4....Wait until you see season 5! ;)....btw I'm happy you don't "care" how long Merthur fans stay around. You're awesome!

@ELLABELLAMJ The reason I watched this clip is because I do love Gwen. But the chemistry between Arthur and Merlin is so much more delicious. Watching Merlin and Arthur's relationship is like a sacred dance that takes your breath away...It's effortless and easy. It only needs to be sealed with a kiss. But I do love the Show Merlin and I can't wait until season 5 is out in September. Let's see where the show will take us! ;)

@vickkyandme The chemistry between Arthur and Merlin is different because it's friendship. If you prefer friendship chemistry then fine, no arguments there. I am a sucker for the succulent and heartstopping chemistry between Arthur and Gwen. It just IS...!
What confuses me is why there seems to be a problem if one likes both, for completely different reasons. It's like you have to like one more than the other. They are totally different, so not comparable to me. Peace.

@ELLABELLAMJ Not a problem at all. You can like both relationships for different reasons...I'm all for that. But in my case, I'm more attracted to Merlin and Arthur's relationship. The banter between them is like 2 people who fights a lot, but is clearly attracted to each other secretly. Even though Arthur has chosen Gwen in the story, he clearly chooses Merlin every day... It's so BROMANTIC! ;)...BTW! Happy New Year to you!

Gwen and Arthur's marriage was so rushed, cause in the end the writers figured they owe it to the original story line. If you left it to them, I think it would've been Merlin on that throne for true. Where was the courtship between Merlin/Arthur in this episode? I didn't see it! It was solely Arthur/Gwen to be honest. We Arwen shippers have been waiting for 4 seasons for this moment, and we don't like it being ruined by Merlin/Arthur comments!

IMHO I think the kiss after the 2nd proposal was supposed to be metaphoric for the wedding. That's why the lighting was so 'fairytalelike.'
If I see it in that context then my disappointment isn't so great.

The music in series four has been absolutely outstanding. It just adds to the atmosphere. This scene was so beautiful, the best scene of this episode, IMO. Juat a pity we didn't get to see the wedding itself. MsMyope, Arthur wears that to all his special occasions. I am sure he has more than one in his wardrobe. Gwen's hair looked beautiful but maybe you prefer her curls coz I do. Yes, her dress was stunning, heck she was stunning and her crown is beautiful.

i like the show but I was so desappointed by this scene.Gwen's hair is flat and boring, not fit for a queen coronation.I can forget about gwen hair.But for Arthur,to wear the same damn ugly outfit he wears everyday to ride, train and hunt for the coronation is a little too much.No proper wedding ceremony,a tramp as a king and dont mention the same old now boring kisses cliches.A let down for the momentum created on arwen love story and much anticipated wedding.At least Her dress was beautiful

Lads can we be a bit logical here; firstly there is no need for the ship war; we are Merlin fans, not Twilight fans. Surely there are better points of discussion than that. Secondly the reason they didn't show Elyan in Morgana;'s visionw as because he wasn't knighted yet; that would have given away spoilers for the series 3 finale if it showed him and Gwaine knighted. Thirdly; Gwen and Arthur put up with a ton of crap this series so just let the writers finish with them on a Disney moment, ok?

I loved this scene so much! It was a great recall to the dream coronation last year, and yet the little touches that were added (Merlin looking supremely spiffy, the knights, Arthur's crown, etc) made it even more real! SO AMAZING!!
And the music! I love how epic it sounded!

I'm not happy with how their relationship turned out:
1 As an Arwen fan, I have to admit that Merthur was better in this episode :(
2 I'm disappointed with what they did to Gwen's character; making her "weak" --> If you want me to explain, respond to my comment because don't have enough letters left
3 Ep Sword in the Stone are good but not the best, they are way to filled with storylines & it takes of the opportunity of exploring them properly --> 4x12 Excalibur/Morgana, 4x13 Arwen/Queen centred

I just love it how Arthur says "By the sacred laws vested in me I crown you" in a really authorising voice, and then when he says "Guinevere, Queen of Camelot" he says it really lovingly and softly! Pure Perfection

1. FINALLY. I have only been waiting for THREE seasons.
2. Arwen haters, don't watch this clip because you just bash Arwen, and to be fair, if you don't like Arwem=n, why are you watching this.

And true, they probably didn't have the time to fit in Elyan's reaction. Just imagine if you were the producers, you have to cut out A LOT of stuff, and although it's very emotional and fitting and all that (which I think most of this show is) you gotta wipe the floor clean with stuff that gets TO THE POINT. ;) GREAT EPISODE

OK my comrades...perhaps its just me - I felt cheated. There should have been a 14th part. The end seemed somehow rushed. Are we to believe the same day Morgana was stumbling through the forest was the same day Arthur and Guinevere married...had the coronation... - Perhaps I just dont want it to end....

1. I love the character Guinevere and I am on Arwen and Merthur team. Yes, Angel, Bradley and Colin are fantastic actors.
2. I understand the human qualities of someone who has been broken hearted over a betrayal (even though she didn't really but he doesn't know that).

Arthur&Gwen proved that with their wedding it felt like Gwenn was bathe in pure white gold almost overshadowing the sun, and Arthur. Great King&Queen Of Camlot KIng Of Dragons and Queen Of Hearts made you lived together Body&Soul as one like a Dragon's heart. As Camlot cheered LONG LIVED THE QUEEN AND HER KING!

Pure perfection. I loved everything about it. Gwen's dress. Arthur's proud smirk when she kneeled before him. The score was wonderful and made this scene complete. So glad they didn't use the violins for this scene. I was nearly in tears watching these two finally come together after so many obstacles being thrown at them. I hope in Series 5 we'll get some much needed happy times for these two as they rule as husband/wife/king/queen.

@reevesdamn Not only that, but he also wasn't the servant at the ceremony. Rather, he was one of the guests, standing next to Gaius among the knights of Camelot and in front of many of Camelot's nobles.
Even after all the moments when Arthur has openly shown the respect he has for Merlin, this really is the icing on the cake. I don't expect that many nobles were happy to stand behind a commoner at their king's wedding.
It also makes you wonder how Merlin got those clothes... :-)

Guinevere, the clothing, the music, Arthur's strong confident & melodious voice, Arthur, Merlin, Gaius on and on --I did laugh though Gwen so tiny yet she is in Arthur's room picking up heavy furniture-Goodness my lady-you've been out surviving in the woods, dealing with a broken heart, sword fighting armed men as well as Morgana-ahhh, who am I kidding this is exactly why she's my Queen!-& Arthurs-love her to bits! <3
