  • Tasteful, very nice.( Break through rays of light, set the sun upon my soul. cast the darkness from my heart, where the demons gain control.) this is what ii hear listening to your stuff.

  • nice groove!

  • very nice, sounds like a baby of doors and hendrix a little bit, find a good soul singer and youll be set methinks, im about to send you a pm btw

  • Doors influenced? Riders of The Storm similarities on start up, but nice. Surprisingly nice tone. Hendrix Machine Gun influence mid way, cooling down into Doors style once again, good break out, and into finishing riff. Altogether nice. I liked it.

  • reminds me of the doors and cream, the bass and drums really pull it together :)

  • light up and enjoy it my friends

  • Beautiful.

    Thank's for sharing. I enjoyed.;)

  • and i got EARGASM

  • VERY VERY VERY VERY NICE MUSIC, I love music like this! good job, keep going on! I remembered the SWEET 67's <3

  • Like. I take it this is an homage to William Blakes' Marriage of Heaven and Hell, "If the doors of perception were cleansed every thing would appear to man as it is, infinite. For man has closed himself up, till he sees all things through narrow chinks of his cavern.. (no one ever quotes the last bit) from which Jim Morrison, Ray Manzarek, Robbie Krieger and John Densmore took their band's name. The opening strains of Riders on the Storm are clearly audible.. I'm just missing the thunderclaps.

  • @alcobaseta I believe that Aldoux Huxley was the inspiration for the Doors' name. I have read both Ray Manzareks and John Desnmores bios and I'm pretty sure the Doors Of Perception was from Huxley.

  • @scottsims1970 Hi Scott. I do declare I believe you are right. I only saw the movie and there was reference to both Blake and Aldous Huxley. It was in the Manzarek Morrison conversation on the beach when they were talking about sides being chosen, great golden copulations and making the myths. The point came out that (and I quote Wiki) Aldous Huxley took the name of one of his most famous works, "The Doors of Perception from this work." (referring to Blake's Marriage of H and H).

  • @alcobaseta Hey I hate know-it-all egghead comments like the one I made. What a jerk I must be. I love the movie! Sadly Manzarek not only rips the movie apart in his book but hates Oliver Stone. My favorite part of the movie though is Morrisons musing on the westcoast being the zeinith of western culture and civilization. Like as our culture evolved we went further and further west and those thoughts and philosophies all converged on California. Now there's nowhere else to go. Is this... The End

  • @scottsims1970 Mate I didn't take it like that. We are brothers in Doors :-) and I enjoyed the chance to interact. Credit where it is due.. California was an epicentre but now there are pockets of intelligence everywhere. Ray would have had his vision and no doubt Oliver Stone usurped it.. that is life. Love or hate Oliver Stone and talking of The End for my money the scene where they performed it at the Whisky a Go Go is one of the greatest in movie-making history. Val Kilmer was sublime.

  • @alcobaseta Sorry. I was being sarcastic. You are actually a very decent person to entertain my egotism this way. Thank you. "Turn aound Jim, face the audience. They love you". Manzarek describes the performances of The End in his book as being like a group hypnosis. Morrison wasn't called the Electric Shaman for nothing. He lead masses of people in a spiritual experience.

  • @scottsims1970 True!

  • your drummer is awesome!

  • really good!!

  • @rollingstoneblues reminds me of Hendrix's Hey Baby when he plays live. Your drummer is awesome!

  • Smooth tune, quite based on the same elements like ELP and Zeppelin I think!

  • Paper Tree is playing in DFW tomorrow (7 Feb)? They're good enough that I'll try to see their show if I'm not too busy.

  • @Slumpnasty Hello my friend! Thank you to you all for your kind words! Sorry I can't reply to everyone, but every single comment is hugely appreciated!

Just to clarify, for some reason Youtube is advertising some band named "Tree" under a few of my videos. They are not me, and none of the gigs advertised are mine. I am trying to resolve this with youtube as we speak!

    Thanks again everyone!

    Thanks for sharing!

  • My suggestion: remove YouTube ads, will make it look more professional. And I'd bet you didn't get a dollar out of it yet... better to get famous and get lots of dollars and chicks performing and selling albums! :)

  • Very great trance jazz/blues piece. It has a cool Carlos Santana vibe to it. Would you happen to be open to song requests?

  • Fav'ed and shared, you got the right stuff!

  • i like.. very jazzy

  • to be honest...

    you have about 300 fans....

buts thats not because they dont like you.

its just that...well.... justin beiber and all that shit music is destroying the industry...

therefor all real music is completely uninteresting.

i was playing in memory of elizabeth reed by the allman brothers.

    i played it without flaw.

but at the end they where like uhmmm yeah... yeah... thats.... really... cool....

    i was like facepalm.jpg

  • It's ok. I can't knock your work. All I know for sure is the kids that spend thier money [ & buy music] All the girls for the most part, want something to dance to. always was that way. The boys want "piss & vineger" Cuz' thats how they feel, full of health, chasing girls, laughs and fun.Danger, boys like that, cars etc..sex, all this stuff can be felt through the music if it's right. Laying back...it has it's place, but only after your tired from having fun all night. j.m.o.[ I'm old]

  • Its pretty good but just needs a bit more tweaking nevertheless 2:07 breakdown is really gooood

  • yes this is it right here i found what i am lookin for

five fuckin stars plus another one hundred and somthing elses

  • I can see that as a sound track for some famous movie.

  • I was so annoyed by that message!

Then I listened ;)! It reminds me of a non-stop pink floyd jazzy breakdown. The begininning reminds me of the Doors a bit. Sounds great, and it's good to know music still exists within the youth of today!

  • wow, very good

  • ill take it.

  • this is honestly some of the best music i've ever heard from the last 15 years. no kidding, you really deserve more public attention. and the bass player and the guitar are both exellent!

  • Overall thumbs up. Liked the faster parts myself (2:08-2:30 and 4:00-4:25)....really like the riff at 4:18.

  • I like it. Takes me to a different place, which can be very cool. Music is such a personal thing, I think you are brave for putting this out in the universe. Good rockin luck.

  • This is cool shitz.

  • nice man good song

  • good feeling

  • cool bass line

  • great sound. added to my favs.

  • more uninspired unoriginal rubbish just what youtube needs

  • I like it.. good stuff.

  • Wow this is great!! Thanks for sending me that message, at least there still some good musical taste out there.

  • Like a mix between any colour you like and no quarter, fricken awesome, wish i was baked

  • Thanks for you crit on UG

    -sgtpeppers

This is hella zeppliny, this dope!

  • I COULD KICK BACK AND RELAX TO THIS NICE JOB thumbs up

  • This is dope. I dig it.

  • This is a good song to get stoned to

  • Good tune.Don't take up a day job.

  • Proportions kept, it sounds to me like a mix of no quarter's solo and the dark side of the moon's kind of vibe. I think it may need a little more frame or structure to become a real song instead of a jam. But it still sounds quite nice like this too.

  • it first it reminded me of that great feel of led zeppelins "no quarter",then something by the doors.I really like the feel, its all about a feeling to me and this song has a great one.

it seems "to me" incomplete/empty at 1:39 part,i want to add some lead guitar with a nice fat warm distortion tone from my vintage Big Muff .CHEERS!

  • great song...

  • reminds me a lot of some pink floyd songs

  • @laxativz yeah

  • realy good

  • Decent, man everyone who does thier own stuff is fckn cool in my book, but you asked for my opinion so here's a little constructive; melodies are ok, you have some real good grooves in and out of the whole, if you're going for 60's psychedelic you're in, drums are choppy and need or could use a little crispiness and or resonance to them. Overall I'd say on a scale of 1-10, 10 being the best , it's a 5 1/2. Keep on rockin!

  • pretty good, all you need is a better quality drum set. sounds like an early 60's original vintage set lol

  • jeu veloute et delie, lointain et pourtant clair.. j'aime bien, ca fait bien tripper !!...sslliiiizzzzzzeee.. :-)

  • AWESOMENESS!!!! :))))

  • I like it, the production is ...good, not flat, has some dynamic. The drums could be a tad fuller especially those toms. Great Jam.........

  • technically o.k. song has no catch, like an excerpt from a 2 hours jam., sorry guitar ok.rest i would fire

  • very nice

  • Nice beginning ... very melodic. Very nice guitar work. I think the percussion could use a little fine tuning. There's a lot going on in a very short time frame. Many changes. I would like to see you guys play this live. Video tape this session and re-post please. Thanks very much for sending me the link and asking me to comment. Never get discouraged. Music is Life.

  • real awesomeness !!!! like original band from 60´s .... better than the doors and many of them ... perfect arrangment structure ..

  • I really enjoy this, very psychedelic

  • pulchritudinous

  • hell yeah man, psychadelic. ill take some acid so i can trip to this song and talk to snoopy. keep on rocking! you guys are very creative and talented musicians. dont lose hope man! the pop music will die! we will take over the sound waves of these mainstream radiostations and conquer once again! 2012, a new realization. maybe people will realize pop=SHIT!

  • very cool..enjoyed the tone

  • Wonderful...sent it in to George Noory on "coastocoastam"!!!

  • drums sound good though! don't mean to criticize

  • Nice Job! Hearing a lot of great sounds! Get a good drum track with that and your smokin it! Sound really good!
