When The Weather Channel first started many years ago, they used to play this song all the time when they did the Local Forecast. Being a long time Climax Blues Band and Peter Haycock fanatic, I thought it was the coolest thing that someone at a cable network thought highly enough of this great No Speak series song to use it as "background" for the local weather.
My wife and I watched Peter and Glen do this song live in Switzerland and everyone loved it :-)Watch Both Peter and Glen as they play off of each other. They have never rehearsed this. It just comes naturally when you have two of the finest guitar players in the world working together to give everyone the pleasures of their talents! Thank you Peter for having us along!
The sweetest memory is Pete teaching me to play this little melody when I visited him in Germany. Not only a guitar genius but a teacher with great patience. We love you, Pete, and I'm sure Lucy does too!
Great clip -- thanks for sharing that! "Lucienne"(written for Pete's daughter of the same name) has always been a Pete Haycock favorite, and this version is extra fun with the fusion of an extra jam with Glen Turner -- it morphs into a fun and rather spontaneous "Russell Hustle" ditty dedicated to Glen's son, Russell... You've gotta love Pete Haycock's True Blues! Good stuff, guys! :-D
Like a fine wine with age... It gets better! If you guys are touring I'll find you....and be there!!
