you can try to feed it dead prey, by having a life rabiit on a cage and rub the dead one with the live one. but know one thing dead animals loose vitamins that your reptile needs. after all snakes are not scanvangers they are ambush hunters. if i'm not mistaking the only reptile (that is a carnavarous) which is known to be a svcavanger is the comodo dragon. so if i was you i would just feed it live prey.

nice video, as for trying to feed dead prey, try a frozen rat or rabbit, place it in a strong clear garbage bag and thaw it in warm water. after its thawed itll still be warm, use a pair of snake tongs to offer it toyour snake, your pet should strike and coil it just fine

Eating dead animals is not their natural method. For better strikes, I'd let the snake grab the prey on its own terms, rather than tossing it toward the snake. (I don't think this makes the snake feel obliged to strike, however.) When snakes have a chance to study the prey, they seem to make better strikes, resulting in a good, solid coil or two around the rib cage, which means less suffering for the prey and less chance of injury to the snake. For filming strikes, get a bigger chip and relax.

I'm a reptile expert AlBaqsami: each time you feed him you have to assist to a terrible scene (those who find it amusing are really sick). You can buy a dead rabbit (killed by humans in a less painful way) then heat the rabbit a little bit (the Python is sensible to heat) hold it with pliers and move it in front of the snake. if he still refuses it, ask at the reptile shop about a liquid with a smell that attracts pythons and other constrictor snakes and put this liquid on the rabbit body

you shouldn't feed a snake like that. if it grew up in care of humans then it never learned how to defend itself. mostly you're torching the rabbit. when you feed it live food it fights back. in the vid the rabbit was trying to scratch the snake. the rabbit could hurt it. what you need to do is go to the pet store. you can buy rats there for it. you buy them dead and frozen so they stay fresh. you have to defrost it first but after that the snake will eat without killing a helpless animal.
