Do you know that Christianity is correct? The world around us reveals that G-d DOES exist, and the historical evidence reveals that Jesus Christ really did come to this earth and there is overwhelming evidence that Jesus Christ really did physically rise from the dead. Jesus is coming again and the signs of the end times that were foretold in the Bible are coming to pass.
jesus historically exists and yes theres a god but thats it.. any shit about virgin mary, holy grail, tales of destruction and shit like noah's story and trinity is a farce..
besides this is a gunpla vid dont spread your shit around..
won't the joints become way too tight after spraying paint?? I found my FailionG's joints become too tight that it almost break on the shoulder and arm blade parts..
he doesent use gray paint. he used primer. it coems in grey and white and its used as a base coat for colours and keeps the paint stick on the kit better
In a way, I think HG kits are truly intended for the serious modelers. They require all this painting and sculpting effort to look good. Skilled people can get a blah kit and make it gorgeous.
Personally, I paint as well as most babies with a jar of Ragu, so I build MG and PG, they look quite presentable on a straight build. Call me weak-willed or impatient, but at least I don't inadvertently ruin my models.
thats somewhat true, but as you go along 1/144s seem kind of an waste of effort and ideas when you could invest the time on a 1/100 custom build.
personally i think nobody cant paint bad once they buy a gravity fed airbrush and an entry compressor even. That tops at 200 dollars at most, worth it if you;re going to be building gunpla for awhile :)
@XelhosTallyn I know this comment is old but I thought I'd respond anyway. I can paint much better with an airbrush than I can with a brush. The airbrush makes streak free and even paint cotaing possible for the crappy painters of the world like me. I encorage you to get a cheap airbrush and compressor and give airbrushing a try. I think that you will be pleasently surprised by the results after only a small amount of practice. Good luck!
hello seems as if u knwo alot about gundam i have a stupid question but please help^^
-well theres diff type of paint out there enamel and acrylic for gundam specifically...so for the thinner does it matter ? o.o because whenever i add thinner spray itll sudge the surfacer. so do u think it's the thinner's doing o.o
either that or u ddnt wait for the surfacer to dry up.. dont put too much paint over the surfacer, apply thin layers... which means: apply a thin coat of paint, wait for it to dry (thin coat dries quick) then apply another one and so on.. and yes thinner does matter because enamel paint need a stronger thinner, while for acrylic u can just use water..
yes it is. they go hand in hand like a music player and speakers/earphones. You can buy air cans but its not worth it if you're gonna airbrush model kits. A compressor would be a very good investment. Regulator prevents airbrush sputters when the compressor suddenly fluctuates so its its also essential to have one.
it seems like u dnt knw the steps on painting with acrylics yet.. first is to spray the kit with a "surfacer" or primer.. then to show the color that u want u may want to spray it with white paint first.. thats waht she did here.. in any case i prefer the white surfacer 1200 because its already white unlike the on3 on the video (light gray)..
I think it's best to keep them the same, so since most of the japanese paint is water-based acrylic, stick with acrylic primer. The primer he uses in the video is water-based acrylic. I use Tamiya because it's readily available in the states and has been around longer. But they seem to have latched onto Mr. Color products in japan.
watch the whole thing. they guy goes through the ropes of gluing and sanding to remove parting lines, filling unsightly gaps with Epoxy and painted everything with surfacer to prep for custom color schemes.
Exactly Building gundams is a hobby that alot of people share , It's what they like to do .. It's Quite cool to see a Japanese mecha in 3D and then get the chance to build it / Color it so spambots go spam somewhere else
That's a pretty expensive one in the video, but you can get a perfectly serviceable one for fairly little in a good hobby store. If you don't want to buy your own, you can always try and borrow one for your school/college art department.
What did he spray at 4:43? im getting ready to buy an airbrush and i need to know my supplies for it so i wont mess up

anyone have a recommended compressor?
Testingpointer1 1 year ago
So we're suppose to put a 1:1 ratio of thinner?!?! SHIT!!! No wonder nothing came out of my airbrush.
WingChroniam 1 year ago
@WingChroniam no no not 1:1 the right ratio is 3:1 3 parts paint to 1 part thinner always (the trick is to get a milky consistency)
albertoxFTW 1 year ago
What an interesting spray technique... I never thought about such short intervals in between sprays for primer!

I would give my left nut for a translation video.

can i use the primer as the main coat? i mean like for an all white, or any color of a kit?

kasmichan 2 years ago
if you're using spray can then yes o.o if you use too much primer for the joint peices thaz another factor ;p
use thin coats of airbrushed paint
lilhustler8 2 years ago
can't you just use spray cans?
disco4everurs 2 years ago
certainly. But sometimes it comes out WAY too thick and erases panel lines
Dylanius 2 years ago
gloss spraypaint especially is friggin terrible in my opinion
Dylanius 2 years ago
@disco4everurs no , trust me, it will be disasterous. ive had experiences.. so you dont have too. lol

erm , is it possible to use a gray spray can to make the model look like in 1:33 ??
madnessroxs 2 years ago
Its possible, but for lighter colors like yellow and red, flat white is best because it really brings out the intensity in those particular colors
Dylanius 2 years ago
he doesent use gray paint. he used primer. it coems in grey and white and its used as a base coat for colours and keeps the paint stick on the kit better

Ditto. The HG kits lack the range of joint motion and level of detail the MG kits have.
Air brushing never grew on me... standard brush + acrylics = win!

@XelhosTallyn For me I dont go for HGs because of that, but because I prefer bigger size models.

If I'm going to airbrush, is a compressor+air regulator necessary too?
redmangoose182 3 years ago
compressor is needed of course.. air regulator is optional but is preferred to prevent paint anomalies caused by irregular air pressure..

IF theres a Hobbytown USA store next to you, go check it out. Or any other hobbystore near you, most of them sell Tamiya/Mr.Color/Testors.
