No doubt Hellboy the Golden Army is Number 1 definitely...all other movies where pretty ok, but not worth seeing more than once. I didn't think I'd like the new character on the team though, Johann Kraus. Hellboy himself is one of the most interesting characters certainly in the entire genre on screen Superhero's and was perfectly embodied by Ron Perlman. I am going to say I am very excited about the prospects of another Hellboy movie.

Speaking of the tragic death of Heath Ledger and how it's going to affect the movie, The Dark Knight is deliberately darker than Batman Begins. The fact that Ledger died will add to this in the same way as the death of Brandon Lee affected The Crow.

Saw Hulk last weekend...honestly, I thought it was gonna SUCK. Saw it with three buds and all four of us were like, "Don't really want to see this movie but its the only thing that looks decent right now..."
OMG. The Hulk was Incredible. (Pun not intended...) Enjoyed the movie from start to finish (except for one AWKWARD part). Norton was perfect as Dr. Banner...we LOVED the movie.

Wow. That's not what Iron Man was about... It's about an arrogant, snide genius coming to terms with the death he's responsible for and stepping up and taking care of the problem.
Nooot looking forward to TDK after the epic that was Iron Man and the Incredible Hulk. I was just so utterly impressed by the latter's effects and scripting that I feel like TDK has its work cut out for it.
Also, I could be biased. Always preferred Marvel-based storylines over DC. There's just so much depth to feel for the characters.
It might sound callous of me, but Batman Begins didn't really make me feel for the character like these two movies did.
The doctor with one arm became The Lizard in the comics. This version of The Hulk not only successfully merged the TV show with the comic, it made me care about Banner AND the monster he becomes. The Hulk FINALLY SPEAKS and gets to say HULK SMASH! I've waited decades to see and hear that on The Big Screen! While people are going on about Ledger's Joker, I'm curious about Eckard's Harvey Dent/Two Face portrayal and how it compares to Tommy Lee Jones' version. Hopefully it will be more faithful.

I don't think I agree with Justin talking about how Iron Man is like the 1st movie to make a comic book's story and concepts feel real. Batman Begins obviously influenced this movie heavily, and Hulk made it more realistic by integrating regenerative genes from sea cucumbers, and then obviously using the far-fetched idea of gamma radiation having its dangerous side FX on the nanomeds.
i think that joker is the focus of dark knight cuz we see that the batman movies are good and that christian bale can be batman but they havnt proven that they can pull off joker. i think dark knight will be bigger and better than iron man.

Burton's Batman and Batman returns were quite good to say the least. Batman Begins proved that a movie can still stay true to its origins yet still be successful even if the explosions and effects aren't that of Batman Forever and Robin. I was really excited of the Dark Knight since I saw images last year but Ledger's death catapulted it even before they really started campaigning it. The viral campaign is also very successful in my eyes. Its not like Kobe's jump thing but it gets the job done.
There has only been one in the Dark Knight series before this one. There was the original Batman series but once Michael Keaton was out of the picture- they sucked.

I think you guys didn't give Speed Racer enough credit. While the story was a bit over the top at times, it got the job done and connected the major action scenes together nicely. Not to mention that the performances were, by and large, very well done. The movie was just fun, and I think people overanalyzed it too much. Just sit back and enjoy the pretty cars blow up, people. Seriously. The movie left me with a good, satisfied feeling at the end, and thats what any good movie should strive for.

Thats the thing with moives that have a 2nd, 3rd sequeal. It makes the whole plot better and more entertaining, but its also taking a big risk. Some exaples are Spiderman, of course. It was pretty good,but by the time it got down to the 3rd one, i thought it really sucked. And the "Home Alone" moives, there were like 4 of them, and by the 4th one, it wasn't even worth wacthing

I knew nothing of iron man until last night. Now all i have to say he is my only favorite super hero now. By far the most plausible, amazing super hero that i have ever seen. I want to see so much more on this concept. even if its outside of the superhero only concept. Tony Starks life almost feels realistic enough to not be a superhero only lame guy.

That being said, it's an excellently structured script that hammers its themes home in a way no comic book movie has before. And, on further viewings? The train fight aint so bad :)

Iron Man was maybe the best superhero comic movie ever, IMO. The final fight was over the top and did not work for me. Seemed to drag on for way too long. Other than that, I loved it.

Hellboy will be great, I predict, and Batman will be better than the last one.

batman begins was awful. i don't know why everyone liked it. I do like christian bale as batman though. the the tim burton movies were great especially returns. begins had the lames script and it lamed out on the scare crow so. they tried to make it too but it's super hero movie give us a scarecrow with screen time and more than a dumb mask. when they make movies of how the super hero came to be they often are lame. so i think that christopher nolan will redeem himself in this one.
I still think summer of 08 was the best movie year ever including the summer :)

iron man is sweet as hell. dark knight was ok if it was shortter it would be amazing. hulk looks super gay. speed racer is preety good. sort of funny. haven't seen hancock. don't have any urge to. hellboy 2 looks cool, but heard a bad review from a friend. 1 marvel movie that im looking forward to is the punisher 2. the first one was awesome. Now back to the dark night. Heath Ledger was amazing acting and he should win an oscar, but wouldn't know if they would give it to his family. nerds nerds!

Speaking of the tragic death of Heath Ledger and how it's going to affect the movie, The Dark Knight is deliberately darker than Batman Begins. The fact that Ledger died will add to this in the same way as the death of Brandon Lee affected The Crow.
I'll definetly run around the street, frothing at my mouth to see The Dark Knight. Christian Bale is the best actor of all time.

Saw Hulk last weekend...honestly, I thought it was gonna SUCK. Saw it with three buds and all four of us were like, "Don't really want to see this movie but its the only thing that looks decent right now..."
OMG. The Hulk was Incredible. (Pun not intended...) Enjoyed the movie from start to finish (except for one AWKWARD part). Norton was perfect as Dr. Banner...we LOVED the movie.
I know I've been "Running into the streets, frothing at the mouth" to see the 2nd batman. lol.

Actually Spider-man 4 and 5 have already been written by James Vanderbilt and sony is going make both films at the same time and Sam Rami is signed on as producer for both of them and Sam Rami wants Toby to come back as Spider-man and Toby said he only do it if Sam Rami was involved and he is so he will be.

Nooot looking forward to TDK after the epic that was Iron Man and the Incredible Hulk. I was just so utterly impressed by the latter's effects and scripting that I feel like TDK has its work cut out for it.
Also, I could be biased. Always preferred Marvel-based storylines over DC. There's just so much depth to feel for the characters.
It might sound callous of me, but Batman Begins didn't really make me feel for the character like these two movies did.

The doctor with one arm became The Lizard in the comics. This version of The Hulk not only successfully merged the TV show with the comic, it made me care about Banner AND the monster he becomes. The Hulk FINALLY SPEAKS and gets to say HULK SMASH! I've waited decades to see and hear that on The Big Screen! While people are going on about Ledger's Joker, I'm curious about Eckard's Harvey Dent/Two Face portrayal and how it compares to Tommy Lee Jones' version. Hopefully it will be more faithful.

I don't think I agree with Justin talking about how Iron Man is like the 1st movie to make a comic book's story and concepts feel real. Batman Begins obviously influenced this movie heavily, and Hulk made it more realistic by integrating regenerative genes from sea cucumbers, and then obviously using the far-fetched idea of gamma radiation having its dangerous side FX on the nanomeds.

Burton's Batman and Batman returns were quite good to say the least. Batman Begins proved that a movie can still stay true to its origins yet still be successful even if the explosions and effects aren't that of Batman Forever and Robin. I was really excited of the Dark Knight since I saw images last year but Ledger's death catapulted it even before they really started campaigning it. The viral campaign is also very successful in my eyes. Its not like Kobe's jump thing but it gets the job done.

I think you guys didn't give Speed Racer enough credit. While the story was a bit over the top at times, it got the job done and connected the major action scenes together nicely. Not to mention that the performances were, by and large, very well done. The movie was just fun, and I think people overanalyzed it too much. Just sit back and enjoy the pretty cars blow up, people. Seriously. The movie left me with a good, satisfied feeling at the end, and thats what any good movie should strive for.

Thats the thing with moives that have a 2nd, 3rd sequeal. It makes the whole plot better and more entertaining, but its also taking a big risk. Some exaples are Spiderman, of course. It was pretty good,but by the time it got down to the 3rd one, i thought it really sucked. And the "Home Alone" moives, there were like 4 of them, and by the 4th one, it wasn't even worth wacthing

I knew nothing of iron man until last night. Now all i have to say he is my only favorite super hero now. By far the most plausible, amazing super hero that i have ever seen. I want to see so much more on this concept. even if its outside of the superhero only concept. Tony Starks life almost feels realistic enough to not be a superhero only lame guy.

@HuntrKiller55: Nope, a lot of people are critical about the train fight at the end... Certainly, I was when I first saw it in the theater. That being said, it's an excellently structured script that hammers its themes home in a way no comic book movie has before. And, on further viewings? The train fight aint so bad :)

It's like you just haven't seen it. The story is a solid sports racing story, the dialogues and actors performances where right on spot and the visuals a mind blowing.

Iron Man was maybe the best superhero comic movie ever, IMO. The final fight was over the top and did not work for me. Seemed to drag on for way too long. Other than that, I loved it.
Seems like the Hulk movie may be better than the last one, but then so was Speed Racer.
Hellboy will be great, I predict, and Batman will be better than the last one.
I love being able to say good things about comics movies again.

batman begins was awful. i don't know why everyone liked it. I do like christian bale as batman though. the the tim burton movies were great especially returns. begins had the lames script and it lamed out on the scare crow so. they tried to make it too but it's super hero movie give us a scarecrow with screen time and more than a dumb mask. when they make movies of how the super hero came to be they often are lame. so i think that christopher nolan will redeem himself in this one.
