@v8magnumram - It eliminates the displacement of the woofer, creating a larger chamber and generally producing a deeper response.

@v8magnumram some have experienced better cooling of their subs because the pole vent is vented to the cabin of the car as opposed to inside the box where the magnets will heat up faster which can have a different temperature. Not that big of a difference but noticeable.

ive got a question, i have to 6 inch subs, they arent in my car they are in my house. im powering them sufficiently. but when i take them outa the box they flex like crazy and when they are in the box they sound boomy, and not in the good way. and %80 of their flex is gone. is that because they are in the box and thats supposed to happen? they are in individual chambers so they arent battling and stuff. so is this normal or did i get ripped off? if so is it the box or the subs i need to replace

@robertTwildman - The reason for this is because your box creates a chamber of pressure when the sub is installed and flexing - Without the box, the sub "free airs" with no resistance - Once inside a box, especially sealed enclosures, your woofer's full \ (XMAX) potential is reached with MORE power.

All tho's stickers is just asking for someone to break in and take your stuff.. Get rid of the old install, get your SS reconed and in the back in a non wall set up.. Buy two more 18's and do a ported tunnel.. Will sound better then a common band pass box.

As for the RPM regulator, I think I came up with that first :p . In high school with my 91 Towncar, I had to put a screw on the throttle body so that the throttle line would be rest higher than it was supposed to and it would idle at about 2k rpms cuz I had a bad leak in my intake so it needed more fuel at idle to make up for it otherwise it would die.

Exo, I will ask you a crazy question that bass heads love to talk about. You're running 18's, supposedly a "slower" subwoofer. You're also running 15's. Okay, you're not running them, but you've heard them. You think this guy was able to combat multiple issues with having different size subs? The quickness of a 15, deepness of a 18? Or is this too much thought?
