Texas DBs are successful because they are all excellent athletes but more importantly, they are almost interchangeable when it comes to versatility! they can all play safety or corner and they are all fast as fuck! Miami had reed and taylor(my favorite player of all time) but they lack the consistency texas has with their DB's!
Miami DBs are versatile too. Almost all of them play CB as freshman before switching to safety if they're big enough. Hell, Rolle was drafted out of Miami as a CB. And you're talking about consistency? What Texas has been consistently good the past few years? Reed has built a HOF career, Rolle has been to the Pro Bowl, as has Meriweather. Michael Griffin's Pro Bowl selection in '08 & Vasher's in '05 are the only times a former Longhorn has seen Hawaii recently.

If you think that they aren't going to be as good as the team you faced, you are nuts. Their skill players are all back with the exception of Trent Williams and Gerald McCoy. Those are the only two significant starters that they are going to be without next year. Add in Lewis and Wort at LB and you guys have your hands full. McCoy gets replaced by JMAC.

Texas DBs are successful because they are all excellent athletes but more importantly, they are almost interchangeable when it comes to versatility! they can all play safety or corner and they are all fast as fuck!
