I've read through the many heart felt comments on the petition. I know facebook,twitter and e-mail is convenient way to tell our various elected officials how we feel, but I strongly encourage EVERYONE to send a nice snail mail letter. It really speaks volumes about how passionate you are if you TAKE THE TIME to do it.... Then maybe they will take a little more time to listen.

Currently work in entertainment industry. Would like to relocate back to Michigan, my home, for work. Right out of college- I moved away to California looking for entertainment opportunities. All of my family resides in Michigan, however, I will never be able to live in Michigan if there are no entertainment jobs. I believe that myself and many of my friends are attracted to the film industry. I believe hollywood in Michigan would have paid off in a major way through revenue and publicity.

Hollywood only hires locals for the low paying positions. Some locals and I did the math breaking our weekly rates into a hourly wage. Around $6hr and that was for graphics and pre-visuals. six movies in two years has left me broke. Hope they leave and never come back.
