Another great video, Nancy! I can't wait 'til I can actually put a comfy cushion and a cover for our crate so no worries about chewing these! She loves being in their, races to get in, etc., but you know the scene, I'm sure. Question: Do you have any tips on helping get her to have a gentle mouth when taking food, and/or having her mouth around us. I know it's due to her excitement/puppyness, and she also is a food gulper not chewer.

@azmauigirl just cup your hand and feed flat like you would for a horse, this way her mouth won't go 'around' your fingers and she has to use her lips and tongue.

when you get a camera I will be excited to see her!

@azmauigirl For softening a mouth, what we would do is take bits of hot dog very small hold them in your hand tightly. The more the dog tries to bite the more you should clamp the treat in your fist making it more inaccessible. Eventually she will try to lick the treat out of your hand.This is the response you want, let her have a little nibble. Same if she gently tries to nibble it out. The minute she gets too nippy repeat with the fist. I do NOT recommend this for aggressive dogs.

@cguymartin thanks! This crate cover was made by my friend Catherine... she sells them at local agility trials and adds your dogs name and anything special on the sides... thsi one has the 'golden snitch' on the side as it is Seekers crate cover!
