I think Bocelli is just singing the notes, his interpretation, I think, needs "feeling". You have to live what the composer Donizetti wanted to portray in this musical piece. I've heard Caruso's and Pavarotti's interpretationes and they went to the next level. We have to also realize the setting in which the recordings were made, the vocal schools that they were coached in. Bocelli, for me, is more of a modern pop opera singer. True opera singers perform for the tradition of this art form. sorry

una delle poche arie che canta bene.... avrebbe dovuto cantare in questo senso belcantista... invece di cantare Carmen , Tosca, il Trovatore.... è stato un grandissimo errore!!! e sono sicuro che non è stato proprio una scelta sua..... ma quella della sua casa discografica.... Che peccato distruggere una bella voce come questa..... è normale che la gente lo abbia fischiato nel 2008 performing Carmen...non sono opere x lui!!! che si svegli!!! PECCATO!

Bocelli is not among the great tenors. He's got a nice voice, but it's a little short of the richness found in greats like Caruso, Bjorling, Corelli, Wunderlich, Pavarotti, Gigli, and many more great tenors.
