Hi Linds, it's been a while. I'm proud of you for making this vid. Like you said, One is Too Many. And I know the feeling is still out there because i've been full time for six or seven years now, and still just last week experienced harassment from people on the street, in front of my own apartment building. I hope for a time when a TDOR is no longer needed, but we seem to have a long long way to go towards reforming common societal ideas about us. Anyway, good to see you again, my friend.
I love this video. Very heart felt. The only thing to do is transition, reguardless. Yes we should be on guard, but be smart about it. We also need to recognize and protect our fellow trans sisters and brothers reguardless of how different they are. that is what is lacking
Thank you as well, I was wondering how you where Sarah I haven't seen a video from you in awhile and I'm subscribed to you, then I go to your page just now and see you just posted a video 4 days ago grr on YouTube
can you get that list for me? the TDoR website only accounts for 101 I ask myself this question all the time, and the answer in my eyes is when the world starts to recognize us as human beings with value, and this will be done by putting faces to the word and being proud and also taking time to educate others
Lindsay, You covered this very well... I can't help but think how hard it is for trans people to want to be accepted by friends and in turn allow themselves to end up in dangerous situations... Please understand how important it is to constantly be self aware continually prepare for personal protection and safety. Best Wishes,
it's disgusting that we have to have a trans day of remembrance it's disgusting that we still have to fight to pass legislation that protects the LGBQT community it's 2009 it's time to come together already and realize people are people long as they aren't hurting anyone
The thing that really got to me when reading the list wasn't the sheer number of deaths, it was the cause of deaths... so many people on that list were tortured before they were killed. One had her head and genitals cut off. A transman was murdered but not before they put a pink wig on him. It's the malice that goes way beyond simple murder that scares me.
Yes I know this is something that for sure got to me as well when I put together my video with the list a few weeks ago it became pretty hard typing out the details. Thank you for commenting it means a lot
great video....great words of truth and wisdom.....
its sick that transgendered people are persecuted and its wrong...and 1 is too many

Hi Lindsay,
I have a PDF file with the whole list (12 pages) of the names. If you can, send me your email and I'll forward it to you.
