@Germania72 We found him on the side of the road-- his leg was broken in a few places and the bones had grown back disfigured. His leg was totally useless, he just dragged it along. All the tissue was dead.
@weblogofweeds Unfortunately, in my country (Chile), some heartless people leave dogs on the side of the road to be crashed by a car. So that's why I was asking. I was guessing it was something like that. He looks like a very sweet dog. Our house dog was crashed by a car in front of our house (he wasn't our pet at that moment, he was a stray dog) and he dragged it to our doorstep and well, luckily, the vet could save his hind leg...and he's been our pet ever since.
Why did you have to amputate his leg?
