It's too bad nobody made a movie, then, about Czar Nicolas II and his family. Showing them as INDIVIDUALS - & (somewhat?) different from each other.
Audrey Hepburn should have played Tatiana...whom, from pictures on other videos, I see as a "green", modern, and caring person. (Could be wrong, but...) Would anyone TODAY want to make such a movie? (Please don't forget who suggested it! -- Me - granddaughter of the assistant bandmaster in the Czar's army!
@UTAOUB It would be interesting actually. They were awesome people who were simply way out of their depth trying to rule a massive country with a very sick child that caused huge emotional strain on them. Would be a project that wouldn't quite stick I think with current audience taste but would be a valid human interest film. Its framework would have to be carefuly styled for relevance and avoidance of cliche "Russian Tragedy". Could be done..
Audrey doesn't approach for this role,I think, cause russian Natasha wasn't beautiful, she was just very fascinating and she was very full of energy!and Audrey is beautiful...
audrey was beautiful but too skeletal.......

Hepburn studied ballet at the "Ballet Rambert", supporting herself with part time work as a model.

The Cazr was a CUNT just like Hepburn - who would have been far too old any way.

UTAOUB: I've always thought about it too - esp. the idea of Audrey Hepburn playing Tatiana! They even have quite a few resemblances of each other...

Hepburn was too old to play one of the daughters. She was offered the role of Alexandra in the 1971 movie but turned it down.

I've heard that... But nonetheless, and disregarding the time-space continuum, Hepburn would have made an almost exact fit.

Isn't she just wonderful in this movie? The movie itself is not really good, but it was a cool Hepburn vehicle.

Not perfect, the retreat from Moscow could have been done better, but very good.
