Thank you! I think it may help with my breathing problems. I am a heavy smoker and noticed my breathing is getting more shallow. I find this yodel is fun to learn and it gets me breathing deeper while I don't smoke! Too busy singing! ah-ee!!!!

I can not do the break between my chest and head voices for the life of me. I can transition between the two, but it sounds too smooth because of my classical training that I've had for 6 years. Any tips?

@alika207 You just have to "moan" a little bit... you can practice making a little puppy sound or a seal. (I know it sounds stupid but it helps!)

HA! What does that woman know? "Yodeling is pretty easy." She apparently has never heard true yodeling. Rapid tongue movements, constant up and down notes, all this combined while staying in tune...she has no idea, lol.

it's hard to do it safely too, i can barely yodel (learning from grandmother, shes a beast at yodeling) but i really admire those who can.

Oh yeah...forgot about the safety part. Without the proper warm-up and proper instruction, you can seriously damage your vocal chords. Too much stress on them. I sometimes make the mistake of not warming up correctly...needless to say, after 5 minutes, I can barely talk. Lesson learned, lol.

thank you soooo much. i was having issues listening for my voice to break. it was breaking, but not that prominent like you hear some people's voice. i am 15 and im learning patsy montana's cowboy sweetheart, and i have to yodel in it. i love to yodel now. thanks to you, i can.
