We have successfully built the coolant circulation sysytem that pumps up the dirty water from trench , purifies it and uses it for the coolant.

Now , this circuration system works and we can cool the cores continuously.

Construction of the cover for the unit1 has already finished.

The covers for the unit2~4 are under construction.

The unit4 is still especially dangerous because the building is damaged. We must find the way how to make the waste fuel pool empty in a hurry.

Thanks for posting this. The news from Fukushima seems to just get worse and worse. This was the first I'd heard they'd had a "melt through". If hot radioactive material is just melting down through the soil, what happens then? Will it hit an aquipher of ground water and then -Poof!- a plum of radiocative steam comes up and contaminates the land, plants, animals and people. Where will it stop?

As of right this second, there is an enormous "vapor" event going on. Looks like a fire to me, you can see it progress. It won't let me post the link but it's titled "Vapor Event At Reactor 4 June 10 Fukushima Daiichi Part 2" if you search for it you'll see. It looks incredibly bad so I'm just trying to spread the word since I don't know how to post videos.

@Strawberrymitten The vapor event looks like fuel leaving last of containment and hitting water in basement or worse still ground water.Sadly this is only the beginning.
