aww..my nasal packs were inserted deeper inside..into the back of my nose, and they had a string attached to the outside..so they just puuled the bloody gauze out and i teared..sobs..haha~mine was still soaking and dripping with blood..eww..

I'm getting it done in a month or so, and apparently not. Generally you'll be given a general anesthetic and it'll be pulled out that way, or it can be done with a local anesthetic, but it depends on how squeamish you are... I opted for general because I'm a pussy. :D
