  • I am proud , that i am Polish.

  • @hillsbourgh100 in english please ?

  • @hillsbourgh100 What's the point of that comment exactly?

  • @jani46411 ?

  • R.I.P. May God bless you for all your good deeds here on earth. We miss you.

  • This is sad! All the arguing. I'm Catholic.

  • @lissapotato1987 My point exactly, I love Catholics, and my original comment was to show respect for great man who did so much to mke peace beween us and the Catholic Church. Unfortunately RPenta had ulterior motives as he started to attack me.

  • @radeczek555 Come the day of judgement..You are going to burn in hell.

  • @Menechem I know Calvinists can get this in no matter what the topic but what does the locus classicus of Calvinism have to do with the Crucifixion?

  • @Menechem I appreciate you kind words but answer me this: what role did the Jewish leaders in Palestine play in the death of Jesus?

  • THE Best Pope that ever ruled Rome.

God rest your soul John Paul II

  • @grooverheliboy I am more a Benedict the FIFTEENTH and John 23 kind of guy.

  • @RPenta Ok that was a tad before my time though !!I only remember the last 3 pontiffs.

  • Jesus has a freind

  • @ByronRaver

More than a few friends, by way of Arlington.

  • @Menechem: Pope John Paul II was the earthly head of the Catholic Church, not the "Roman church." I realize you have been taught to use the label to denigrate the Church but it still is an insulting slur to Catholics -- both Latin Rite and those of the Eastern Rites. "orthodox protestant Hebrew Christian?" Protestantism is the very antithesis of orthodoxy. "Hebrew?" I presume you mean in an ethnic sense as the rejection of Jesus by the Judaic faith is incompatible with ALL of Christianity.

  • such a lovely man, with a gentle soul! may he rest in peace.. haven't they made him a saint now?

  • NIEmówmy żęgnaj lecz do widzenia

  • Wielki człowiek... zawsze w moim sercu.

  • Pope John Paul II was an amazing man - but i don't know why the music being played was there since it was a military regal - regardless it was nice

  • Still puts me in mind of Arlington. But it's still a worthy song.

  • Kocham cie ojcze świety

  • @Fatherallmerciful and all days

  • @bellamina1000 It's not about how much I know. It's about how much YOU know in relation to what I do. Tell me what you know about the Catholic Church.

  • @doncoro spot on

  • gosh, it's been a long time since we had a real Saint as Pope. Betcha, it'll be even longer the next time around. He believed in the sanctity of people, he also believed in miracles. & it seems he was directly responsible for a few of his own.

  • @MrPanetela Not really. Ven. Pope Pius XII isn't far off. Plus there's Bl. John XXIII, and also St Pope Pius X amongst others.

  • These people are so ignorant. John Paul was the best Pope he was great and honorable. These people do not even know the difference between him and the current pontiff.

    Sad.

  • Był wspaniałym człowiekiem, wiele zrobił dla ludzkości i Świata.

  • @fenriz218 THat is what I thought. Father Christmas is dead! Thank God I was wrong, that would have been a real loss.

  • @UtubularBalls I will never get over him. He was a great Pope. He was a symbol of hope and peace and still is.

  • @1516Spinola6040 Nonsense! I am going to show you the evidence, watch this space.

  • He was truly a man of peace and love. Those were his wishes for all humankind. Pope John Paul II was truly a man of God. May he rest in peace with his Lord and Mother Mary.

  • Jasio Pawel II mial charyzme tylko w Polsce :)))

  • He was a good Pope I really wish he was still here. He forgave the man who shot him just like God will forgive us. Pope John Paul II didn't need no body guards he had God's armor. But the Holy God needed him for a reason. May you pray for us all.

  • @laddo79

No, I don't understand "what u r saying". It really helps your point if you take the time to spell and punctuate properly. But what do I know?

  • @CPRailRTC not really, he was a "soldier " of Christ, the Vicar there-of!

  • love you santo papa

  • It's been 5 years when he went to his father in heaven, and I still miss him and I can not accept that. Even now when I watch this movie, I cry. The day after his death I was in class at the university, during the course of anatomy, our professor, who is not even a Catholic, asked that we celebrated the minute of silence in memory of the Pope. After this minute of silence, I decided that I must go to him, I have to personally tell him how important he was for me, thank him for all he did.

  • @JesusDidnotTapout if only you would read the entire New Testament and actually do some research instead of getting a Protestant 21 centurary opinion that doesn't know anything, you would see that the church Christ established is still being perfectly carried out in the Catholic Church. Do your research! Im going to send you a link to a website that has scripture text proof to all catholic theology. After that, you can make your own decision. God be with you.

  • I am an Protestant. But I really liked him.

    R.I.P.

  • @Joggaa18 your no real protestant! learn history!!

  • @kidcalifornia009

learn to think and to feel! .... ah sry forgive me this is rather unchristian :(

  • @Joggaa18 Thank you for that comment. Such a nice thing to say.

  • @onclave6 so u pvt me in first place? did i chat u up? mental

  • @laddo79 You were acting like vulgar fool .I need ed to throw a wrench into your method so I called upon you .I realize your not grown up enough to even be here .Mental? that would be you son.

  • @onclave6 laughing now! u telling u know God better...the idea of knowing God is pur fantasy...i am not going to prove u anything....wtf u think u r?

take yr advice and yr dirty church with u and get lost.... and im not a christian and dont wanna be...u guys dont even do as yr Jesus told to do so get lost...

  • @laddo79 WE worship Jesus his way while protestants worship him their own selfish way .38000 different ways .People dont laugh in hell .

  • @laddo79 Prove me wrong .Grow up before coming back if you curse at me in private I dont mind but when you spew that garbage language you display ignorance and the acts of a child .Grow up son before coming back here .People dont need to listen your childish remarks son.

  • @laddo79 Jesus knew Hell alright read the gospel . Hell is all over in the Bible. read Matt 7:21-23,and Matt 25:31-46 .

  • @laddo79 your laughing your way to Hell

  • @laddo79 repent for the garbage you spew out your mouth .Remember that on your day of judgment (and we all get judged by GOd 2Cor 5:10,Matt 12:36-37 REv 20:12)

you will have to render an account for every careless word you speak

  • @onclave6 garbage u saying?

do as Yoshua says! and wtf u think u r to spean in the name of God?

take all yr Revs up yr ignorant arse! dirty church, dirty money...go away!

  • @laddo79 You go away you have no business here ,I am here to defend God and his church

  • @laddo79 your talking garbage ,Christ appointed Peter as the first Pope Matt 16,John 21 1Peter 5:13 of Rome . The church lines with scripture GOd is all we need but we need to worship him his way not 38000 different ways .DO you know scripture?

  • @laddo79 Is that ammazzamorons ?

  • I am not Roman Catholic but I liked this Pope.

  • @laddo79

You and I will have to part ways over this. We Christians cannot seperate from the Church. It is the Church from whence we draw our life. Our God has become one with the Church. The Church is more than just an article of faith that one can throw off in an arbritrary fashion. We worship the Church and pay homage and thanks. It is the Church that has existed from the very outset. The Church is the life-giving vessel through which all life in the World courses through.

  • In His plan of divine providence God used my moher to save the life of Pope John Paul II.

    youtube.com/watch?v=munD5RoPD_c

  • @laddo79

Let us not forget the rice he brought to the bowls of the hungry. The education brought to the unschooled. The words of hope freely given to those of little hope, and living in hard places. He brought millions to the bishops' pockets this is true. Millions of souls. The souls of Christian and non-Christian alike sought his spiritual guidance as a proven moral voice to the World. He also moved us to donate millions of dollars and millions of prayers all for the common cause of Man.

  • that's interesting..even people form different religious was sad when He died.

  • THE DAY HE DIED WAS A VERY SAD DAY FOR THE WHOLE WORLD

  • You couldn't help but like the guy.

  • I don't see what the big deal is.

He is doing the exact opposite of what Jesus and Moses taught us to do.

Thou shalt not make false idols.

  • @lobitop you're right about that

  • @mcc69962

May you be hit with the Cosmic Boomerang for saying as you said.

  • we are thankful you paid a visit here in the Philippines, not only once but twice... we love John Paul II

  • he's one of the greatest pope, i just hope that they're not gonna dig his grave and claim that his body is inccorrupt...let him rest eternally and not disturb even his body! i just hope they won't do that, and the catholic church should stop doing that! i believe its not right....but i have no right to judge...we have different beliefs so i respect that

  • @Yobidefy

Well, they would try to do it with respect, and put his body back when done. Wasn't that the case with John XXIII? I'd be more concerned if the coffin is opened and UGH

  • He was an honest and sober man, made to lead this great and old church during a time of historic changes. I think no other pope would have done it that good. Rest in peace, John Paul II, I do still love you!

  • Ich habe Johannes Paul II sehr gemocht!

  • hamands´na oi!

  • crying at 0:23 onwards

  • taps? lol. get real

  • John Paul II has been proven to be a person who employed self flaggelation.

Others in the Bible who did this?

Baal priests when praying on Carmel.

Legion and his demonic friend in the cemetery.

Paul must have felt compelled to compensate for his lack of suffering to inflict pain upon himself. He was obviously no threat to Satan.

If anyone has even read the Bible a few times it would be enough to easily see through Catholic nonsense and the attempts to idolize worms.

  • Apart from freeing Eastern Europe & his incredible intellectual accomplishments, I am confident that he will be revealed as having been a great mystic. Like Mother (now Saint) Teresa of Calcutta. I do know that he had been mentored by a lay mystic in Poland during his seminary years. He also loved the St. Faustina visions. A life like his is guided in a profound way by the Holy Ghost.

  • I'm blessed beeing polish when I read peaple messages about JP2,the man,the human, the father, the saint, the real idol for our world. Thank you all .

He saw god in every human and respected all people.

Can you live like He did?

  • @robsx13 If self flagellation, people kissing my feet and hands, people beckoning to my every desire, traveling around the world, never working an honest days work after my papal election, and world wide recognition of my sainthood is what we are questioning then yes I can easily do that.

That life is FAR easier than the life of a true Christian. This man and his prayer beads speak for themselves.

  • i 'm hoping someday Pope John Paul II will declared as a saint

LONG LIVE CHRISTIANS AROUND THE WORLD

LONG LIVE THE GREAT POPE JOHN PAUL THE SECOND

more respect to this man ..he should be honoured more !

  • Benedict will never recieve the amount of requiem and mourning that John Paul the Great did... <3 Requiecat in pace

  • @videresims3

No, but then Benedict simply wishes to carry on the duties God gave him, as John Paul did. I doubt he would care how much fuss is made after he too passes on.

  • JUAN PABLO II QUE FALTA NOS HACES

  • I really like him too.. even if that I'm not catholic..

  • Revelation 17: 4-5 (Woman - Roman Catholic Church)

And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: 5And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

  • @gduavitjr ..... the queen of england is the pope of the protestant church

  • @pjlu2

what the connection of that to the bible verse I quoted?

  • @gduavitjr What we have here is a perfect example of the falacy of begging the question. You are assuming a conclusion as a premise to prove that very conclusion. In other words, you are assuming the Church is the whore of revelation in attempt to prove that the Church is the whore of Revelation. You can close you bible on that one, junior. Don't cite scripture against a Catholic. We're the reason you have it to start with.

  • @dblazek08

we owe the bible to the early protestants not to the catholic church. before the protestant reformation only the catholic priest had access to bibles and it was written in latin. there were even instances that the church discouraged the reading of the bible. the protestant were the ones who started the massive production of bibles written in different languages. read history first and you might view the true color of your church.

  • @gduavitjr well actually thats just not true. the church never discouraged reading the bible. But thats not the point.. I don't care who translated the bible. Protestants didn't assemble the bible. Protestants didn't preserve it and other important and sacred documents during times of intense censorship and war. Protestants weren't the first to pull vital theology out of the bible and write commentary for it.. Catholic's did. You're welcome

  • @dblazek08

Catholics compiled the bible - True

    Protestants didn't - True

The Catholics were the first people to compile the bible but it doesn't mean they were the only people who did it. Protestants were also looking for old scrolls about the scriptures to confirm the biblical writings. In other words even without the catholic church, the bible will still be completed.

Besides God can use anybody to be his instruments like when he punished Israel for her sins, he used the evil Babylonians.

  • @gduavitjr Well what COULD have happened doesn't really matter. God COULD have appeared to Joseph Smith and made him a light to the nations. But that doesn't mean any of what Joseph Smith said should be taken seriously. Furthermore, Catholics had begun assembling the bible starting in the late first century. Protestants couldn't have started working on the Bible until that 16th century becasue Protestantism didn't even exist until then.

  • @dblazek08 Except the Catholic church has morphed and changed over these 1850 or so years. The second century Catholics would not recognize the Catholic church today beyond a few ceremonies and rituals.

  • @dblazek08 Maybe you should honestly ask yourself why the Catholic institution required the Bible to be preserved in Latin. Maybe you should ask yourself why there were so many disgusting popes in the past. You should also ask yourself why Catholics recite their prayers when Christ said rehearsed and repetitive prayers are an abomination.

Then we could also have you explain how Paul said bishops and elders could marry.

  • @gduavitjr I bet you have no idea what the bible even says....and trust me, what ever answer you give me is wrong.

  • @lysenko133

your pope have no idea what the bible says.

  • @dblazek08 Actually the whore of Babylon goes beyond the Catholic church, but it is most certainly included. It includes most protestants as well.

  • @dblazek08 Catholic doctrine has changed over the years. Modern Catholics look nothing like second century Catholics and sound nothing like second century Catholics.

You ramble on and on about a worm (Mary), recite rehearsed prayers in a completely repetitious fashion, prevent bishops and priests from marrying, and enforce certain fasting days.....

Besides, the Bible was written in Greek and Hebrew not Latin. Better start up another Crusade/Inquisition

  • Tęsknimy....

  • Pope JP II should be known as Pope JP II the Beloved II, and not the Great.

People all over the world shouted, JP II, we love you.

  • @JTPerez12

    He was greatly beloved.

  • I want him saint now!

  • @milopichu11 : i second that . POPE SAINT JOHN PAUL. r.i.p.

  • One of the greatest popes ever and one of the greatest men since the last 2000 years!

    Saint John Paul!

  • SANTO SUBITO! THANKS for bringing hope to the lost Cuban people. WE NEED YOU!

  • SANTO SUBITO!

  • Pls do not include Pope John paul in the category of Herod the Great.

  • D.E.P

  • I am an Protestant. But I really liked him.

    R.I.P.

  • @1516Spinola6040

I know how you feel. I remember watching on TV as the announcement of his election was made, and I remember crying when I heard the news of his passing. I even attended a memorial mass at a local Catholic church. He had such a gentle spriit. I always loved that about him.

The world was a little more sad when he left. R.I.P. John Paul II.

  • @1516Spinola6040 Me too,(although I used to be Catholic) he was a loving, kind man who brought people together and loved everyone. Not one of the Greatest Popes, the GREATEST.

  • Santo!!!!

  • Pope John Paul II Santo Subito!!!

  • Amen! Pope John Paul II.

  • R.I.P. he was a great person

  • John paul should have been canonized years ago he was the holiest man since biblical times and he was the greatest spiritual leader ever second only to st peter

  • @Cheapasscookie He self flagellated himself, therefore making him a fool in a profound way.

Satan was not doing a good enough job hurting him and even his seared conscience lead him to believe he was doing something wrong. That is why people inflict pain on themselves, because Satan is not doing it for them. Legion, the demon, also hurt himself....

I am sure you will point me toward his assassination attempt, but even Mohammad, the second greatest Antichrist to yet live, was persecuted.

  • On always in our hearts...!!! ;(

  • why are u saying that?

  • The Trumpet tune is called the "Last Post" played at all military funerals.....

  • please tell me whatthat trumpet tune is called asap ive been searching for it for years! please

  • It's called 'Taps' -- It's a common song used in United States Military Funerals.

  • some people on this programme can't even show any kind of respect even to those who have died, it always has to be something controversal or some mistake the person did in their life, some people are good and others may be bad, but when it comes to death of a world figure or anybody, they should be respected always and even on the internet whether or not you believe in their policies or who they were especially people like John Paul II, grow up.

  • I am a Protestant, however I do believe that John Paul II has been lifted up unto the right hand of God. He did so much for the people of the world and mended so many ties and never once doubted his faith.

I anticipate the day I meet him in Paradise

  • @09smitel are you saying that salvation is based on good works

  • @jncdidier no good works serve merely as a bonus. The Pope also had faith in the Lord which places him in agreement with the Protestant Doctrine of Sola Fide (Faith Alone). His good deed only further ensured his access to paradise

  • @09smitel You cannot "further insure" access to Heaven......How can you add a cherry on top of an already completely perfect and FINISHED work. ("It is finished" is self explanatory)

Of course work is essential, but work is the product of faith and does not aid faith or strengthen faith. Faith can NEVER be a work.

John Wesley worked 100 times harder than John Paul II....Paul lived such a comfortable life he had to flagellate himself to compensate for what Satan was not doing.

  • jnc,

    A good day to you!

What is your understanding of Faith and Works mentioned in James 2?

  • Pope John Paul Two brought hope and enlighnment to millions of people. He suffered so horribly, but that was his cross to bear. I await the day that he attains sainthood.

  • I can't wait for that day either. I converted to Catholicism, basically from nothing. I went on a religious voyage that ultimately lead me to the Catholic faith. Pope John Paul II had recently died when I undertook my quest, and hearing the things he had said and done, what he faced, and how he never lost faith, it made me much more interested in Catholocism. The more I learned , the more I realized that it was exactly what I had been missing. I, as does the rest of the world, owe Pope John Paul

  • @janicesoprano what hope?...what enlightenment? he didnt do shit for anyone...he got paid to do NOTHING.....

  • a muslim thinks that the church modified the bible

in fact for you Jesus (Isa) is not God but a prophet

but the most important difference is about the way to understand God's will

for a catholic the grace is something that we can receive and see too; this is more important than the bible, and we read it learning from the church

for a lutheran is not the same

anyway you seem a good man and surely God knows it

i will pray for you this night

  • I dont wants that you gonna pray tonight!

  • @ yassin

i pray everyday, don't you do the same?

anyway don't be afraid: if my prayer is not good, God will not hear it; if it's good, it will bring you good things

    God knows everything

may the peace be with you

  • I appreciate that!

  • @ yassin

ok, with our mind we don't know what God knows,

but you think that on a book there are the true words of God himself

the problem is how can we know that our different faiths can be true

a catholic thinks that God gave us a sure sign of his will through his church

so, even if only God knows a heart, we can recognize some saint

God is good, he helps us

    may God bless you

  • Day is Done

    Gone the Sun

From the Hill, from the Sea, from the Sky

    Guard you now,

    Rest you well,

    God is Nigh.

    --words courtesy the Boy Scouts.

It does fit the Holy Father, now at rest.
