And then, if you're good, maybe she'll get you a bass and a drum machine. And after spending all that time programming the drums, she can get you a tape recorder that'll let you lay down a drum track, a bass track, and then guitar. Don't forget to mix well.

I have been searching for that sound for 30 years, i have a 73 4001 with checkered binding in fireglo, a 98 4003 in maple glo and a 07 4003 in jetglo.

I play thru two Hartke amps thru the stereo feature, i have tried compressors, a zoom 506 and several other effects pedals over the years i use rotosound swing 66 strings and i can't come close to your sound....Well done

Hey Mikey:

I run my bass through a Zoom 506II pedal to the input on my Crate BX50.

And during recording, I mic the amp via Tascam 424 porta-studio.

The signal leaves the Tascam and plugs into the stereo input on my computer.

The sound you hear happens somewhere between the microphone and the hard drive. I don't know if it's the microphone placement, Tascam, or what. I wish I knew because I can't seem to find it right now.
