i always felt that this song is about a man who is so in love that he is telling his woman he wants her to give him his babies and he will do any kind of work to support her and their babies, when they have the babies if they do, they will want for nothing no matter how many hours of the day he has to work to give them what they need and more. always made me wish he was singing this song to me, then he wouldn't have sounded so melancholy. almost like there wasn't a love in his life at the time.

At the risk of being too sentimental and ridiculed by people who shoot down everybody(trying to make them as miserable as they are), I'm glad to see such great comments. The video is so subtle, many people don't realize how AMAZING it is. When you become a parent, raise a family, watch OVER your children as they grow up, watch them as they go off on their own, get married and bring you grandchildren, this song will ALWAYS be in your mind, as will a lump in your throat and a tear in your eye.
