the 80s were a motherfucker, i'm glad i was a teen in those years, i seen priest, slayer m etallica all the greats in their heyday ..those were the good old daze
Man i was at the show a the Capital Center,i belive it was in the late 80s early 90s or something. They tore down the Cap Center awhile back. First consert i ever went to was there and it was Ronnie James Dio "RIP" Last in Line Tour. Man let me tell ya those were the days right there! Metal ruled the world!!
So looking at the tape only 1 time, I saw about 5 or 6 camaro's, a few stangs, a TA, I think a Daytona somewhere and some old Poncho. That never happens anymore!
the 80s must have been so fun back then...it seems like there were no laws at all compared to today. i would have def had my fox body mustang blasting thrash out of it and doing burnouts in abandoned factory parking lots lol
That is the famous deejay CERPHE (surf) who at the time was on DC101...home of the Greaseman and Howard Stern. I attended countless concerts at the Cap Centre and what wonderful memories. I was there for the very last Capitals game also.
these were some of the best days of my life. wish I could go back in time just to experience some of the shows. Hell, half the fun was waiting out all night to buy tickets, let alone the show itself.
i was born in the late 70's...i may have been just a kid in the 80's but i'm glad i remember how it was... 80's were much more innocent times and people back then just wanted to party. 80's were an awesome time..
@ItalianWarrior777 excuse me but i ain't your bro....although i'm the hoe that will humiliate your lame virgin ass. now go back and leave more condescending messages on the internet you insect douchebag.
This is funny, but really how different than if you did "football game parking lot?" One is just more socially acceptable, but if anything, this has the excuse of being kids.
what modern metal band has a parking lot that big? the answer is zero. proof that everyone enjoyed some form of rock back then. not a wigger in sight.

Slipknot. Not that I like them, but they've outsold most of the bands of the 80s. Metallica has a bigger following than that currently as well. Just giving examples.
Slipknot probably has not sold nearly as many albums as Priest. And Metallica hails from that era. Kill 'Em All was released in '83 and they opened up for Ozzy in '85 on the Ride the Lightning tour. That era was mammoth when it came to metal. The metal of today is pretty much part of the theater or larger festival circuit where it takes 100 bands to draw 20,000, not just one.
I'm just saying that in today's very complicated music industry, there are still bands as prolific. In my opinion, Priest is a far better band than 90 percent of current metal bands. I'm just playing devil's advocate. I'll never be one of those "They don't make em like that anymore" people.
"Where do I park?" "Anywhere you want." Those were the days. Get about 20 cars full of your friends, beer, and music and see who has the loudest stereo.
NICE! Cap Center in Landover, MD...vintage 80's/mullet culture. David Lee Roth, Steve Vai in 87 was awsome. Get this DVD, you might see one of your friends if you grew up in the area. I recognize the meat heads at 1:21...rock on Ryan and Micky!! is that Corey on the hood?
I was at this concert, as well as so many other concerts at the Capital Center; Black Sabbath, (I believe that that was the first concert ever there), Blue Oyster Cult, Led Zeppelin, Rush, Kiss, ELP, Moody Blues, Eric Clapton, Rod Stewart, Ozzy, Robin Trower, Ted Nugent, Scorpions, Alice Cooper, Yes, Jethro Tull, Journey, Chicago, Beach Boys, Prince, BTO, Def Leppard, Nazareth, AC/DC, Pink Floyd, Frank Zappa, etc.
I think I know some of those guys. Grew in PG co Maryland.( class of '82) Some of the kids are grandparents now. True I remember the stylesan.. and... wow. Blast from the past.
Oh god, I miss the Capital Centre and Maryland metalheads.. so many good shows there.. Metallica, Clash of the Titans w/'Thrax, 'Deth, and Slayer, VH.. good times.
O they were. Rock ruled just like hiphop does now. I still remember the early beginnings of rap and thinking that it was just a fad like disco and it would go away. It shall inevitably suffer the same the same demise as metal at the end of the 80's. Check out Ratt's 'Out of the Cellar" album. Whole thing is cool. Cheers
as a long time fan I can't help noticing that applause has consistently been directed towards the subjects of Jeff K.'s films, and not toward his actual skill and presence of mind (and camera) in filming.
these are true happenings. idiocy knows no division of culture or sub-culture, genre of music, race, creed, borders, or time. idiots, like these drunken camaro driving douchebags, will always be around...and there will always be someone there to record their every retarded move.
more videos of 80's rock concerts not the show just the people in the parking lot come on more videos , one thing thogh those cars hit one of todays cars and todays cars will lose so much plastic shit in todays car back then ALL METAL
Hey! These people still have the same cars, and the same clothes. They also have 20-year-old children with the same look. Of course, they're all in the MidWest of the U.S. (or New Jersey).
