  • Now I know why there are suicide bombers.

  • @nicklocicero Do tell. Mike BD

  • There is a cure...when I die I will be cured for I will be totally spirit...no more flesh.

  • Christ is not a religion, he is spirit. You are not going to understand that unless He takes your self-centered heart away and puts in a spiritual heart, because only He can do this. What is flesh is flesh and will pass away. What is spirit is spirit and will live forever.God is spirit, not what man makes him to be.God is in charge of everything whether you like or believe it dosen't change that fact.Who amongst you can change one morsel of your statute? Rather vain of you to think so isn't it?

  • Its true in the Big book when it says, "that I live in a world of ignorance and misunderstanding...". AA is nothing more than a basic set of directions which will solve all my problems. What you are listening to here is people that dont walk the walk, they sit around and talk. And what do you expect from sick people who don't take medication...they get worse never better. If I don't take the spiritual medication suggested...I will stay spiritually ill. That is all you are seeing.

  • And the fact of the matter is, you fuckin retard, AA is free on that belief where as "Religion" says you have to believe in Our God only! Go fuck your self meat head.

Im a member of "That cult" and i dont believe in God and some how, im sober. WHATS THATS?? A SOBER NONE BELIEVER?? SINNER!!!!

Your born. You live. You die. The end.

Now dont piss "Your" God off now. Be a good little Christian cock sucker and go to Church. FUCK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @TrentusMaximus78 Is it only me that certianly does not want what this guy has? ha ha B l A m E

PS - I can't debate with people that make assumptions.

  • @TrentusMaximus78 Actually I think Mike is agnostic, not Christian. Your definition of religion is also incorrect. The Big Book mentions god 134 times in 1st 64 pages, then elaborates on turning ones will over to god. Members collectively recite AA doctrine blah, blah in meetings / rituals. What I've just described is AmericanStandard text book defintion of "religion" . Mike is telling Christians to pick one but it is biblically unholy to practice 2 religions. Calm down.

  • @AschersOil No, I'm not agnostic, yes, I'm not a Christian. Mike BD

  • @blamethenile Sorry my bad to make that assumption. I like your videos alot.

  • @AschersOil No exception taken. Just clearing it up for you. Thanks, Mike

  • I am a fully-recovered alcoholic ~ transformed by the simple design for living outlined in simple steps of Alcoholics Anonymous. Living this Way life on a daily basis creates personal transformation ~ a psychic change. Self-awareness and emotional intelligence increase and grow exponentially. Thinking becomes clear and inspired. Navigating challenging life events is successfully done because the mind operates from a place of calm. Meditation is key. Love and Service, AA works if you work it.

  • I want to thank you for exposing the enemies agenda in this organization. I to have written articles a reviews concerning the lies that are being told in NA. Why be entangled again in the yoke of bondage. Recovery and restoration only comes from knowing the truth and Jesus Christ is that Truth. People want to be free but dont want the truth in order to have it. God Bless you

  • AA led me to Jesus. Take what you like, and leave the rest. AA is a suggested program of recovery from the medically proven disease of alcoholism

  • @aronraewalsh you are one of the less brainwashed. do you receive condemnation for that belief?

  • I was healed and delivered in an instant by Jesus Christ for reasons known to Him. I do not have to return to the whipping post to mingle with the spirits of addiction.

"For false messiahs and false prophets will rise up and perform great signs and wonders so as to deceive, if possible, even God's chosen ones." Mtthw 24:24

  • @AschersOil Nor is there a reason to return to that whipping post. Mike BD

  • @blamethenile I have a friend who has beeen captive for 21 years. When she seperates for a few weeks she is a viberant positive strong woman. When she returns to the post, she becomes a sad, formless mental case. AA is the common denominator to her episodes.

  • @AschersOil For many years, the only depressing hour of most days was the one I spent there. I can sympathize with you and your friend. Thanks, Mike BD

  • You have an amazing call on your life to tell the truth.

  • @AschersOil Thanks, and thanks for your recent additions to the discussion. Mike BD

  • The big book refers to a "Broad Highway" (with capital letters!) in the context of finding what it refers to as the "Higher Power". It also bangs on about a "roomy and inclusive" spirituality, if I remember correctly. The reported words of Jesus, on the other hand were:

"Enter ye in at the strait gate, for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leads to destruction, and many there be that go in thereat." (Matt 7:13)

  • @MrTobytwirl Wilson's take on God was "You must pick a God, but it can be any God whatsoever, as long as He tells you to come to meetings, do as we tell you and promote our evangelical movement". Thanks for the post. Mike BD

  • Maybe god isnt all powerful... that sounds like religious dogma bullshit,, my god is the absence of fear

  • While AA claims to "allow" one to express their beliefs to any Higher Power there are "rules". I attended AA meetings for two years and was astounded at the heavy handedness of a group that claims tolerance & acceptance. After not attending "meetings" or participating in AA on any level for well over a year, not only am I still "sober", but I am happier and more serene. I believe I am actually really sober. AA sobriety is not true sobriety. It is programming. True freedom is found in one's self.

  • @GeorgeWCIII I agree with all you say. Thanks for posting. Mike

  • When the early church labeled people heretics , it forbid them the right to buy or sell, making the church the anti christ. AA never says without god youlle fail.. it says without honesty ,,, god is pure honesty, this video is misinformation and close minded ,there for dishonest get your fact straight AA has helped millions

  • @IANXNAILS Which facts stated in this video are dishonest. Again, please be specific. Mike BD

  • @IANXNAILS Isn't god one of those things that are omnipotent., doesn't that mean all powerful. Whye don't

he help all those people that pray to him/or her (I never seen a need for a god to have a penuse) anyway help them get the bottle or the syringe out of their arm.

  • THE true key to AA is honesty at a deep level,,, something this video maker knows little of

  • @IANXNAILS Which points of this video are inaccurate, or dishonest? Please be specific. Mike BD

  • @IANXNAILS You reeeeeeeeeeeeealy believe that??? I seen plenty of treatment staff not being honest when they assalted a patient in Miami Dade County then try to get him arrested and then change his honest story about three time to cover his sleazy ass.

  • This is a twisted distorted view made of pure ignorance, the dogma is what christianity sell. Im a christian , but this is lies,, And for what purpose? Money/ Greed and hoarded secrets something the church in famous for...Wake up Christ is her now , accept this powerful energy

  • IN AA YOU CANNOT SPEAK YOUR MIND.

YOU HAVE TO BABBLE AA BULLSHIT (Philosophy).

BELIEVE ME, I´VE HEARD IT FOR MORE

    THAN TWENTY-FIVE YEARS.

  • @IGOROZKARSKY It sucks a person in a chasm and before you know it a person is trapped & powerless. It is a terrifing state of mind for any healthy person to be in.

  • CORNER AN ENTHUSIASTIC AA-STEPPER AND ASK HIM TO DEFINE HIS "GOD AS I UNDERSTAND HIM" AND I BET YA, THAT YOU WILL DRAW A BLANK. - OR YOU WILL GET SOME BULL: - HE´S POSITIVE LOVING FRIENDLY BLA, BLA, BLA..... - WELL THANKS BUD, I DIDN´T KNOW I WAS GOD. - I AM POSITIVE, LOVING, FRIENDLY.
  • Who cares what AA preaches, it is just reliigion... the only true path to enlightenment is experience.. if the drink does you harm than do it no longer.... do not ascribe to magical thinking, it is not a cure, it is just an additional burden

  • Eternal damnation is an absolutely sick Abrahamic faith filth concept . So is DRY DRUNK = HERETIC. I'm Buddhist and believe we get what we pay for thru our actions and conduct. Abrahamic faiths perpetuate the most savage of hatreds and most vicious of arguments and its mutual slaughter and the destruction of Earth. AAers are taught hatred to non AAers who quit sans AA. and its called recovery. Get rid of Abrahamic faiths and their derivatives {1 being AA} and save Earth - our only home!!!

  • aa folks have repeatedly and with malice attacked my sobriety of 16 years - I sobered up with 8 fold path - no christian do what we do or we kill you there - hence a breath of fresh air and incidentally better succes rate - if aa wont work 8 fold path just might!!!

  • @zorel7100 There are people sober through Scientology ffs, Once a person mades up their mind to stop then he will stop

  • I have been "in" for 6 months now. I feel as if I am in a sick cult.

I do believe I am way worse off than I was when I got there; I am not talking about my drinking, just my life!

I am reviewing your videos and trying to hear YOUR story.

I wish you talked in them!

  • @MsGrammarnazi aa folks have with malice attacked my sobriety of 16 yrs. with buddhist 8 fold path - the most effective way. - no do what we do or we kill you there and a breath of fresh air and never thirsty! good luck!!!

  • @MsGrammarnazi If you feel disconnect from drinking & using then you are ok.

  • I have been "in" for 6 months now. I feel as if I am in a sick cult.

I do believe I am way worse off than I was when I got there; I am not talking about my drinking, just my life!

  • When you go to the doctor, he does not ask what your religion is. It doesn't matter to him. He's there to help you stay healthy, not save your soul. In the same way, AA's 12 steps are a plan of action by which an alcoholic can stay sober. It does not claim to be a way to God or a means to eternal salvation. AA seeks to help alcholics, not just the Christian ones.

  • AA's claims seldom, if ever, have any basis in its practices, methods, dogma, doctrine, or outcomes. The same can be said of its denials-without basis in reality. Mike

  • @backwoodsninja What's a "higher power" then?

  • @MrMZaccone It is whatever you can devote your life to. Essentially it's something positive that can take the place of booze and keep you on the right path. If you believe Jesus is the only path to salvation, AA does not conflict with that, because AA offers sobriety, not salvation. It is possible to get sober without becoming a Christian.

  • @backwoodsninja "It is whatever you can devote your life to" ... Then why call it a "higher power"? I can devote my life to things that aren't a "higher power" Why call it that?

  • @MrMZaccone If it's something that can guide your life and keep you off the booze, something that is greater than you, then that is your "higher power." Why call it that? *shrugs* Gotta call it something. Example: One of my friends is an atheist in AA. According to him, his higher power is his AA group, because the group is stronger than he is all by himself.

  • @backwoodsninja "Higher power" denotes, well ... power. There isn't any in something you devote your life to. The power is still in you and your devotion. As for the "group" being a higher power, statistical evidence would suggest otherwise.

  • @MrMZaccone Seeing that it worked for my friend, I saw no reason to argue with him about it. As for the power being in my devotion, fair enough, but why would I devote myself to something less powerful than myself. And surely there is a power greater than me, unless I am the most powerful being in the universe, which is easily disputable.

  • @backwoodsninja The point is that even the chaos of the universe is more powerful than you are but I doubt you'd want to devote yourself to it. It wouldn't get you anything but chaos and being drunk is plenty of that. The question is, is there any power in the universe that can be harnessed by devoting yourself to it. The unfortunate answer is, no. The power comes from your devotion. If that's the case then why not just devote yourself to sobriety and skip the whole "higher power" shit?

  • @MrMZaccone Hm. I actually agree with you and think you make some good points. As for someone who finds strength through praying to Jesus, Allah, or the man in the moon, I guess I'd say, hey, if he's staying sober then good for him.

  • @backwoodsninja If someone needs a crutch then I say let him have one so he can walk and I don't have to carry him. Let's just not pretend he's going to win a marathon.

  • @MrMZaccone Haha. I'm thinking of making my own deity and naming him Yomama. So when I go to my next meeting I can tell everyone, "Yomama keeps me sober!"

  • @backwoodsninja Are you the most powerful being in the universe? Of course not. You are however, the only one that can control your behavior ... period.

  • Some of the strongest condemnations of aa come from Christians. Many evangelicals consider Bill W's "spiritual enlightenment" to have been a counterfeit courtesy of Lucifer.

  • E.G:

Google 12 Steps to Destruction for a Christian critique of steppism.

  • That is a little extreme. But, not that far off. If Christians acttually read the 12 steps, few wound approve. But, AA may get the drunks to pray, and into a legitimate church.

  • @tobytwirrll And some of them come from atheists. You can be pretty sure that when theists and atheists agree on something ... there's probably something to it.

  • @tobytwirrll considering that AA has such a low, low success rate and how they encourage being a loser it it!!

  • Great video!!! It's right on. I have a friend in Assholes Anonymous & I asked him to explain AA's "Spirituality" and he really can't. I tried to share some videos with him but he's so brainwashed he can't even discuss anything that might be questionable about AA. It's really sad.

  • We really aren't trying to deprogram the indoctrinated here. If someone is genuinely happy in AA, we have little to offer them. Mike

  • @blamethenile Your right, I guess one just has to find out on their own.

  • I belong to a large, well known Christian Church/ organization which operates very large treatment centers in which AA is part of the treatment for addicted peeps. (It is in fact how I came to be part of this church.) I no longer attend AA and it is for the reasons stated in the video (and many others). It seems everyone is allowed to describe thier "god" in detail but Christians! BTW- Who is the band and what is the name of the song in the soundtrack? Great stuff! Love it!

  • @BlairofScotts Glad it is all working out for you. Thanks for the post. The song is Kerosene Girl by [sub]nova. They have a home page you can find by Googling ythem. Mike

  • There is more to life than sitting in church basements. I plan to be on a subterranean level at a church AFTER I am dead, not before then.

Sitting in a meeting is not experiencing life, it is listening to lies and avoiding life. it is an existence for the living dead.

  • It is really too bad that Hollywood presents a positive picture of AA.I would love to see a documentary of ex-AA members telling their experience of AA.

  • @sherwoode7 That would take great courage..

  • If one wants to craft their on life they really need to leave the rooms of AA.doing what others think you should do is encouraged in AA.

  • Under the guise of "God's will, as revealed in our group conscience", no less. Mike

  • Such abuse of power.Shameful dis-empowering of others so that people who have made a mess of their own lives can feel good about themselves for a moment.

  • @sherwoode7 That is what traps a lot of people in the rooms, they end up dis-trusting themselves to an extent that they completly lose their sense of reality.

  • AA is a very insecure organization; very self protective, jealous and possesive.

Most of the people there are deeply wounded; mentally ill. That does include the old timers. many of qhom have found their safe haven.

  • When one steps back from AA really looks at the fear based dogma and the outrageous behavior of most of its members you really do just want to run for your life ,for your mental health.I don't feel AA meetings are good for my sobriety.

  • sherwoode -- there is no reason for you to think that AA does you any good at all. You are better off finding a good organization with much nicer peole than AA. It is obvious from the comments of the steppers posting here that they are not nice people.

  • Dix,I agree. The people in my life today who are not in AA are much healthier and much kinder.Oh yes,and they can talk about someone other than themselves

  • real adult persons are that way. AA generates regression to childhood

  • So true.Always living in the past.Stuck in talking about drinking in the past.Continual confessions.Looking to others to run your life.

  • @sherwoode7 I had to take a step back cos I feared I was losing my mind, the crazy people & the lies are not good for anybodys health.

  • heresy? yes. basically, it is an esoteric cult and 12 step is on a par with astrology and theosophy.

  • Comment removed

  • No, we aren't atheists, except for Ray. Yes, we do other things, like block trolls. Anything else I can help you with? Mike

  • and, exatly what business is that of yours, agecooper? Ever pause to consider that your approval means absolutely nothing?

Is there a reason for you to post here? Other than ask silly questions?

  • Comment removed

  • age cooper, you would not know what the truth was if it tripped you. Why are you here? To prove how brillant you are?

  • Comment removed

  • agecooper: having established your ability at briliant repartee, what is your next great accomplishment?

  • Vanishing from the Blamethenile Youtube site, most likely. Mike

  • I attended meetings for 8 years.

    I agree that it's a stand alone religion. I\

Not being christian myself, I don't have to attempt to reconcile it with the AA program, but still, the following spell out the exact problem I did have with the program ...

It is a god who must be confessed to and beseeched for guidance at every turn. (1:45)

... and asked only for knowledge of its will and the power to carry it out. (2:00)

Doesn't leave me much room to practice "god as I understand god."

  • I'm not a Christian, either, but you cited two deal-breakers for the God of Bill Wilson and me. There are many others. Thanks for the post. Mike

  • Yes. 12 step is a religion of its'own. A religion in denial.

  • Serenity or peace of mind is what AA claims its program/steps produce, but it is not the truth. AA mtgs. are full of dishonesty, chaos, abuse, crime, predators, and misery. They laugh at this. One old-timer spoke volumes when he said that members have an underlying seething cauldron of repressed anger, thoughts, and feelings. AA does not provide solutions to problems, it provides religious nonsense at its worse. In the years I spent in AA, I can't think of one mtg I left from happy.

  • Thank you Guys brilliant new Vids.

Been De-programming for 6 months now, and feel so so so much better!!

All your collective work has really been helping me.

    All the best

    Mack

  • @ijmac09 It is refreshing that people feel the same way about AA/NA & other programs. Thank fcuk for the internet. I wasted 10 yrs in that crap.

  • 5/5

I have found both right wing fundies, and left wing fundies(leftiest christians are just as dangoruse as the right)make excuses for the 12 step cult.

  • Top banana!

  • Banana!?! That frankengod's leg there be careful.

  • I think I unwittingly ate Frankengod's leg.

Never mind, Rock Almighty will protect me!

  • All hail Frankengod
