I am the Sr. Ride captain for the south Alabama Patriot Guard Riders. Today we escorted the funeral of L.Cpl. Travis Nelson USMC who was killed August 18th in the sandbox. The Marine Chaplain showed this video at the funeral and it was amazing.

Just enlisted today in the delayed entry program and took my Oath, I leave for Boot June 18th 2012 about 2 or 3 weeks after I graduate. i listened to this song a lot when my husband got deployed always made me cry and now that he is home safe and sound this song is still the only song that makes me cry because saying bye to someone you love at the airport and watching that plane leave you dont know if that is the last time you will see them or not and that scared me too death.

Likewise, I think historically too many American's have forgotten that when push came to shove, Canada fought alongside the Allies in WWII. I fear we may have lost some of that mutual respect that we are told our ancestors possessed. I hope we can amend this in the future.

My older brother and me both leave for San Diego on July 21. This song has indeed inspired me to become part of the greatest fighting force on the face of this Earth. Of course I mean that with no disrespect to the other branch of services.

As a former Navy Photographer, I cannot watch this without crying-- the words, the music, and the images meld together so well depicting the awesome job you fighting men and women are doing for all us. WELL DONE, MARINE!
Well, there was more to the American Civil War than freeing slaves. It was a conveniant excuse to invade the South at best. The Northern army (confederacy, burned houses, raped, murdered (blacks and whites), economically devastated the South, then settled in the homes they did not burn. All documented facts, this isn't third grade history.
When the Bible said "Thou shall not kill" it had nothing to do with war. God gave the 10 commandments to Moses. After Exodus there were many wars- The Israelis fighting for their lives and their existance. God even told them they would defeat their enemies-by declaring war against those who were out to destroy them. I'm proud of these brave military men and women who are daily dodging bullets and rpgs.
If you call on God to bless the Marines then at least extend that courtesy to the people they kill too. The US is "the well-wisher to the freedom and independence of all. She is the champion and vindicator only of her own." Before you excoriate or lambast or villify me, I have a Marine brother and am a veteran myself and I support the troops. They were lied to; time we held those at the top accountable. Buck Fush.

Sir, this is an amazing song that brought tears to my eyes the first time i heard it. it makes me proud to have earned the title we have and continue the tradition my father started of military service but even more proud to defend this great nation.

My older brother and me both leave for San Diego on July 21. This song has indeed inspired me to become part of the greatest fighting force on the face of this Earth. Of course I mean that with no disrespect to the other branch of services.

My son showed me this video after he graduated from Marine Boot Camp. I am the wife of a retired soldier, the Mom of a Soldier, the Mom of a Marine and the sister of a Marine. Those who don't have a military member need to understand the sacrifices that our armed forces and their families make for their freedom.

i'm just hearing this song today, i have cried each time i've heard ..about 5 times today. my hubby is leaving for a-stan soon, and my son is in the army too. i couldn't be more proud of our military.. until they all come home, safe, and sound.

We are the world police. Everyone depends on us to step in and take control of the situation whatever and wherever it may be. I left the Corps in 1989 and still strongly carry the pride and characteristics of what I was taught. I pray everyday for my fellow Marines that are in harms way but we will prevail unfortunately some lives will be lost. I can't think of nothing better in this world than to call myself a "United States Marine". One shot one kill! OORAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I bought the CD while my son was on Parris Island at boot camp..graduated nov. 16, 2007......not a day goes by that I don't listen to this song at least once a day!!!!"you take care of the love, while I deal with the hate...." I have a brother and a cousin in the Marines and they will both be deployed very soon. I also have a cousin in the Army who just finished basic training. This video is very touching! I am so thankful we have people will to serve our country! Please pray for all the men and women in the military and the families they leave behind!! God Bless!!

I first came accross this song when my husband and i first started dating. He was already in the service and this really got me through all the time we spent apart. Now that he is deployed its been one of my favorite songs to hear.

This song and video is about the troops and their dedication to duty. Without such people we would all be converting to Islam!! Politics aside, you should be thanking our soldiers, airmen & women, navy, Coast Guard & Marines that are keeping us safe.
I have friends in Iraq and they say there are some amazing things going on there that the US Press is not reporting.

Well, there was more to the American Civil War than freeing slaves. It was a conveniant excuse to invade the South at best. The Northern army (confederacy, burned houses, raped, murdered (blacks and whites), economically devastated the South, then settled in the homes they did not burn. When the Bible said "Thou shall not kill" it had nothing to do with war. God gave the 10 commandments to Moses. After Exodus there were many wars- The Israelis fighting for their lives and their existance. God even told them they would defeat their enemies-by declaring war against those who were out to destroy them. I'm proud of these brave military men and women who are daily dodging bullets and rpgs.

If you call on God to bless the Marines then at least extend that courtesy to the people they kill too. The US is "the well-wisher to the freedom and independence of all. She is the champion and vindicator only of her own." Before you excoriate or lambast or villify me, I have a Marine brother and am a veteran myself and I support the troops. They were lied to; time we held those at the top accountable. Buck Fush.
