I hope the 3ds will have this as an option because this is way cooler than some of the 3d effects. It has a gyroscope inside so it seems like it would work because there is no camera in the middle. You may have to turn off the 3d though.

I just got this today. But the head tracking doesn't seem to be performing like in the video. I mean, it works, but it seems like the camera moves twice the distance than you move the actual DSi. Unlike in this video. Does anyone know anything about that?

@skyseeker901 Ya, I calibrated it, I can get it working fine, but the movement I don't find to be quite like the movement in the video, it stills is an amazing effect though and a great puzzle game for sure (Just the right difficulty too, I find).

I'm enjoying the bigger screens though. And although I'm 14, it fits in my pocket nicely.

@gokussj341 wasted? you do realize the dsixl was designed around the "being too big to fit in a pocket" concept. its not like it had to be that size to support the hardware or anything.

theres alot of smaller devices catching on and making larger versions of an already successful smaller product.

i seriously doubt anyones going to buy an apple ipad and get it home and say, "dang, how am i going to carry this around in my pocket."

Based on what Ive heard about the 3DS specs, I think it will be the best handheld system to date. To be honest, I think the 3D aspect of the console is just the icing on what is already an extremely powerful system. I expect the 3DS to have the graphical power of a GameCube, plus all of the other delights such as two screens, rumble, motion control, wi-fi, and an analog stick. The 3D feature is wonderful, for sure, but it will only be appropriate for certain things.

sry to say it but u r completely wrong. the ds sells more then any other console thats out right now. i'm not trying to hate on you or the psp. it's just that the psp doesn't have very good software. the ds however has fuckloads of great software.

@MikuMikuBeat im a nintendo fanboy all the way, but you do realize an n64 is cartridge based right? i still having a working nes that i got in 1986, while i have 3 gamecubes sitting in my closet that no longer work. 360 and ps3 having problems should be compared to a wii or gamecube, comparing it to an older cartidge based system doesnt hold water. of course, i own all 3. i feel the 360 and wii both compliment each other well, my ps3 rarely gets booted up.

It depends on how you care for them too, like whether or not you have them stay in one place or do you regularly cart them around to friends' houses and such. I was also referring to the fact that even newer Nintendo consoles seem to have far fewer (if any) technical problems than Xbox 360s or Playstation 3s. You know, those unexplained red rings of death?

True lol, it kinda makes me think of CD players because of the laser technology actually. Usually whenever ours had an issue having it cleaned would be enough to have the thing read again. Unless there's a further mechanical issue with it.

I'm just happy the Wii lets you use Gamecube controllers as well! Not to mention the old memory cards, though the ability to use an SD card is great too. They're much cheaper than mem cards if you know where to look :D

@miklog49 It's not even worth buying a PSP if you have a DS already. It's even better to have a DSi because you can also get the DSiWare. The DS has an amazing game library where as the PSP has few good titles. This is the same with the Wii and the PS3.
