I did this at Wal-Mart I had 5$ of pennies they refused with "this is private property they had a right to refuse a sale"

I reminded them it's against federal law to deny monetized currency and it doesn't matter that Wal-Mart is a private company since they must obtain a license to conduct business in the united states that requires them to accept monetized currency

I saw something like this in a store in NY. this guy about 18 yrs old tried to make a $60 in pennies he had them in a box in his cart. This is not a joke. This was about December 20th so the store was crazy with everyone buying last minute stuff for Christmas. The clerk called security on him and he was given his box of pennies and kicked out of the store and was told to never come back. His argumement was there was no sign saying not to pay $60 in pennies.
