  • tell tom too race for pink slip tell him too call bob buttons

  • i know the dude flying this slow p51 the guy flying used too fly a fast 51 reno air racer called voodoo right matt

  • Its Burbank

  • beautiful aircraft. lucky duck

  • You exceeded 60 degrees of bank with no parachute rigs on, or at least the pilot had no rig on. LAX FISDO please take notice...and it's all on video, nice !!!

  • @210mt

Green-eyed monster. Just enjoy the fine machine my friend. Life is short.

  • @yesterway You are right. I couldn't agree more.

  • So Tom buys the plane and someone else fly's it

  • @macDiesiel he has to have someone else fly it with him due to insurance policies, etc...

  • Wow just WOW no words...

  • Cruise was flying and that Burbank airport.

  • Wait Cruise isnt even flying?! FUCKING PUSSY!

  • dude !! i would have totally blew a load all over the canopy flying in that sweet sweet ass warbird!! jealous isnt the word!!!! ok yeah major jealous!!!

  • Did the plane smell like a douche bag?

  • Yep, BUR Rwy 15. I've had B-17 Liberty Belle, on and off, of those runways many times.

  • KBUR, runway 15

  • 100% not KVNY.... For starters Van Nuys has parallel runways. It is also not that close to mountains. Looks like Burbank. That however IS a bad ass aircraft and I am 100% jealous!

  • @bradybowers I am surely mistaken, thanks

  • Fair enough... Van nuys area though correct?

  • @DonGomez007... Pretty sure it's van nuys but I may be mistaken. I'm 99% sure it's van nuys. It's a pretty historical place and hard to get mixed up

  • no that's Burbank

  • no that's burbank

  • @TwitchSwagga no that's burbank

  • Van Nuys Airport?!?...I don't think so as Van Nuys has only had 1 runway for decades now. Looks like Bob Hope/Hollywood-Burbank Airport from the air.

  • Nice Hot Rod. Let's put steel on target! Hey Tom, you were at Valley Forge at the band barracks in 1981 to film Taps. I was in the band. Do you want to invest with me into buying an airplane company with me as Leader?

  • Ya see, the problem is that Tommy and his 51 conflicts with the golden rule that the deranged should not be allowed to touch the controls.

  • No, I can not say I did.

  • Here is the good news, I am happy for guys like Tom. They take their money and use it to keep a piece of history alive. These airplanes are living examples of art that only a hand full have the wisdom to keep in flying shape for future generations. If left to the US Government they would all be scrapped for left to rot.

A tip of the hat Mr. Tom Cruse, I for one thank you and your flight department.

  • I hate that Tom Cruise joined that cult, but damn I'm envious of that P51 Mustang...

  • how were you able to fly in tom's plane?

are you close firends with the pilot or tom?

  • @bzzymatt neither really. just happened to know the right person =D

  • oh theres a problem .......

  • Kiss me Kate was Montana Miss, Sexy Sue was Barbelle Bomber. I restored it. Me and Matt flew it in on a ferry permit when Calvin bought it. I am going to try to gather up all my pics for the web sight.

  • Looks like Matt flying, He taught me to fly a P51 as well as Tom. The new toy is the A26 Invader Sexy Sue I restored. This plane used to be named Montana Miss.

  • @TheFlyingwarbirds U restored Sexy Sue? Was is Montana Miss when Calvin owned it?

  • @TheFlyingwarbirds just curious, did you ever know Connie Edwards out of Big Springs Texas ?

  • Did you notice that the wingtips looked freakishly close to you from the cockpit? They look like they are about 8 feet away! Where was the ballsy sound from the cockpit? The engine seems to be loafing along when you're inside.

  • @kimmer6 we were just cruisin' haha listen to that engine on takeoff tho!

  • TwitchSwagga: This area I am talking about actually has all kinds of aircraft. There are some migs, british stuff, american stuff probably some B-17's, mig 21 and 17, some spits and hurricanes, some 109's and 190's, etc. Oh heck it is more like a museum than anything, but most of the aircraft are at least partially disassembled for storage. That is all I am saying. I know they have that stuff in Dallas, Tx at the Confederate Air Museum there. It is located at the old Love field.

  • That is my fault. It is not actually a junk yard, but it is called "The Bone Yard" It is simply a designated area where all of the surviving aircraft from previous wars that were brought to the U.S. are taken and broken down for storage... Sorry if I misled you and I certainly did not mean to scare you into such a horrendous thought, that they would have the audacity to put Spits in a junkyard.

  • This twat paid a large amount of money to go for a 20 min splat. Tom Cruise had it online for a while with a company but im pretty sure he sold it now because of unrealiabilty of the aircraft. This aircraft had a partial engine failure a while back and it was blamed on bad maintenance but who knows some aircraft are just known forbad luck reliability.

  • Interesting..

  • @TwitchSwagga not really cause if you hang around GA around there you would definetly know that.

  • Just how did you manage that?!

  • @edj66 Just got that magic touch =D

  • @TwitchSwagga You got shit mate you probably paid a over inflated price to get the back seat.LOL

  • Yes it was about the same price as it was to get in ur mums back seat... which was exceptionally cheap.

  • @TwitchSwagga Well either way you piad pig bucks for the ride and my point being that u still paid for a flight!! I dont need to pay anyone to fly me around cause I own my own aircraft and can also pilot it myself!!! HAHA nice one kid..

  • @cessnaclub Hey man I just got my pilots license too!! maybe we can fly together one day

  • You lucky bastard

  • that is a good life for sure

  • how did you get to ride his plane?

  • Nice man...score for you on that one. And isnt that Burbank?? Good video and congrats on the sweet ride

  • @hainesy86 Yeah that is Burbank...it landed on runway 15 at Bob Hope. I keep hoping to catch a glimpse of that sweet ride every time I fly in and out of there. Not yet though.

  • @brianszoo We wont be at oshkosh but I think were bringing sue down for the Reno Air show in Spetember.

  • why would Tom Cruise let you fly his P51 Mustang?? are you his buddy??

  • People can call Tom Cruise all kinds of names, but I think that he's pretty cool. Any dude that rides a Ducati Demosideci and flies a P-51, is alright with me.

  • 1 of only 6 trainers left. Very nice.

  • I would give my eyesight to get my mits on a Mustang. I have recently Cessna soloed and love it too. If you really like old planes, if you are ever in Arizona, go to the boneyard there and you can see all kinds of stuff from recently outdated B-52's to really old stuff like Mustangs, Corsairs, and Spits. Have fun.

  • @F15Eaglejet1 They've got spits in a junkyard!?

  • @TwitchSwagga seriously doubt it. ive been to the boneyard and have never seen a spit, much less any ww2 bird. mostly its cold war era jets

  • Lucky! How dod you get a ride in it? and did you get to meet tom?

  • I hate celebrities and their Goddamn money.

  • jealousy, its okay

  • @TwitchSwagga I'm Scott. Nice to meet you.. Hope we can be friends. I am new to this, but will soon be posting some things on here from some of the airshows that I go to. High speed passes and the likes. I went to an airshow here in Oklahoma at Tinker AFB in 2008, and got to sit in the left hand seat of a B-25. I felt history man... Made me feel so deeply. It was fun though. Good luck to you always.

  • @TwitchSwagga so true

  • @Caterpillarjon If you've got it flaunt it LOL

  • So, how did all of this get arranged?

  • I knew someone who knew someone who Tom =D

  • @TwitchSwagga

    I know him exactly

    I am just kidding

  • hey wats the plane at the end with the twin radials?

  • thats our A26, "Sexy Sue"

  • id give my left testicle to be able to fly one

  • Damn you are lucky!!!!!!!!!

  • Nice video.

  • lol @ dude @ 1:00 hhaha

  • Maybe the coolest plane ever built...its always been one of my top planes.

  • Yep and so was the thunderbolt, lightning and the pommy mosqito.

  • Say, you said you've been along the Coast of California. I met some of your countrymen visited Morro Bay. On your next visit, I highly recommend this. According to one lady I talked to from Alsfeld, she said it as "wunderbar."

  • Wow, that flight was great!

What is all the nonsense of these comments? This is about a great plane, and a guy lucky enough to take a ride.

  • Word man I dont understand some people, just watch and enjoy!

  • Ah, yes! I know that one...the one that got shot down by the P-51 Mustang...

  • @Scharfschutzen1

Dude, I don't know. Go ask your momma.

  • Unlike your German Constitution, the U.S. provides much greater freedoms to allow nazisitch douchebeutels like yourself to spew hate without penalty, like now. It's your stupidity that's the self imposed torment. That's ok, Scharfschutzen, I understand you missed taking your meds.

  • Delusion is the last refuge of a madman, just like your leader, Hitler. Victory? Deutschland Uber Alles? You guys lost over 60 years ago. Get over it, LOL!

  • What was?

  • Naw, I don't need to do that. You're lack of knowledge of the subject speaks volumes. You don't know your history, and still prattle some shrill arguments combine with lots of name calling. Go cry to mama, LOL!

  • Still luv it much, LOL!!!! Du speichel tropfte idiot nazistisch. Equating 6 million Jewish deaths and suffering to humanity doesn't compare. I'm glad that "American junk" shot down your Messerschmidts an Folke-Wulfs down in great numbers until your country was defeated. LOL!

  • @Scharfschutzen1

Luv it much, cannot take what you dish out, douchebeutel. Deutschland Uber Allen, mein esel. Like I said, you Nazis love to discard history as some sort fairytale. Tell that to the survivors of Treblinka and Auswitz.

  • Duetscheland Uber Alles? That statement alone helped to kill more than 6 million Jews and many more. You love your country to the point of incinerating them in ovens and suffocating them with Zykron B, Du nazistisch scheiße!

  • for russian immigrants I spells better than some u.s. guys who makes millions from you kind by rolling in mud and killings dogs. So were you thumbs at?

  • this airoplane piece craps. Best was russian Yak 21 piloted by comrade Bowsnoff

  • @volodyyy A yak?!?!?!!!!! you must be joking!!!!!!!!! Wait.. Wait... I thought you said a heavy loud shitty performance yak was better than a P51... Clearly I read that wrong. No one who was able to fly would say anything as stupid as that!

  • @bradybowers A Yak-3 would fly circles around a P-51

  • @Bergstaller01

    P-51D Performance * Maximum speed: 437 mph (703 km/h) at 25,000 ft (7,600 m) * Cruise speed: 362 mph (580 km/h) * Stall speed: 100 mph (160 km/h) * Range: 1,650 mi (2,755 km) with external tanks * Service ceiling: 41,900 ft (12,800 m) * Rate of climb: 3,200 ft/min (16.3 m/s) * Powerplant: 1 × Packard V-1650-7 liquid-cooled supercharged V-12, 1,490 hp (1,111 kW) at 3,000 rpm

  • @Bergstaller01

    YAK 3 Performance * Maximum speed: 655 km/h (407 mph) * Range: 650 km (405 miles) * Service ceiling: 10,700 m (35,000 ft) * Rate of climb: 18.5 m/s (3,645 ft/min) * Powerplant: 1 × Klimov VK-105PF-2 V-12 liquid-cooled piston engine, 970 kW (1,300 hp)

  • @Bergstaller01

The specifications for the Mustang and the Yak are for the most popular models in terms of numbers made and in service. Both the Mustang and Yak had many variations some with slightly higher performance. It is evident that the Yak would not out perform the Mustang.

  • Of course, troll. any sophomoric comment you make is merely a snide "stroll" in your life, which makes you an adolescent punk. Take care (and grow up).

  • Say Schutzen, aren't you quite tired of being a troll on these posts? Don't forget, you're side lost the war...get over it, over half a century later, dude.

  • Just awesome! I gotta get me one of those P-51:s hehe...

  • the way the engine just cutes through the air and leaves that sound is amazing. better than the crappy 172's i fly haha

  • 172's aren't crappy.

You fly right?, well thanks to the plane you learned in.

That's like calling your dad stupid when he taught you how to drive.

  • @biggestMetallicAfan im saying that the engine of a P-51 beats the 172. 160bhp at 2400 rpm isnt much to boast about lol

  • @teddy3412 Yeah i know it does, but it's the fun of flying the the 172 that counts, not the hp

  • @biggestMetallicAfan yeah i had my last flight of the year the other day. turbulence sucks in the 172. get thrown around a lot.

  • Yeah. even in thermals it's bad, nothing like turbulence tho.

  • Great sounds from a truly beautiful plane! I listened to this video in a continous loop for several minutes. Thanks!!

  • Gorgeous plane, and this one is in a great condition.

  • No, at the end is our A26 Invader we just got. We got a ride in this mustang because the pilot, matt jackson, maintains toms plane as well as our new a26 and is training my dad in it.

  • When you get a chance, ask Tom if he would be interested in a scale (85%) F-82, Twin Mustang, as one is currently being developed, and should be flying in the future. Don

  • Is that Tom's b25 at the end?

  • Nice. How'd you arrange that flight? Pretty cool.

  • terrific p51 ,,must be a dream fligth on one of those ,,,
