A valid point is made...Tesla was not a business owner or mogul... he was an inventor. Who invented Velcro? I have no idea, but I'm thankful they did but I don't know their name. It just so happens that Tesla had SO MANY ideas that we feel he has been over looked, when in fact he got all the attention he was looking for. The reason he told the press about what he was thinking, was probably because he always considered that he was creating for the benefit of mankind.
Thats probably why he is so rarely mentioned because what he contributed is still classified.I truly believe we don;t even know the half of this man's genius and may never because of the secrecy. Its said that when he died in a New York hotel the F.B.I. raided his room and took boxes of stuff out.
My personal belief is that Tesla's work was acquired by the government and explains many of the strange sightings in the skies today. He probably stayed to himself for fear of being assassinated. Also I think the reason he and Howard Hughes became strange toward their ends is because the were most likely part of majestic 12. If an alien craft crashed in Roswell N.M. in 1947 they would have been the only men who could have figured out how it worked.
Millions of watts of free energy continuously being transmitted freely and wirelessly all over the world? Somehow I dont think that would be condusive to western democracy's imperialistic and capitalistic dreams of power to control of the populace.
I really don't think Tesla's goal was to create a wireless power transmission system. My opinion is that his main goal was a receiving system to utilize the earths electromagnetic field, but he ran out of funding, and never had the chance. Since learning about Nikola Tesla its always been on my mind why he isn't mentioned at all through school. Why the hell didn't he publish his work!? He got screwed over so much I guess he just gave up, and lived through depression.
As I'm sure Nikola would tell you, school isn't about education. And I'm sure no one needs to tell you that people prefer to worship heroes who are conformist and jingoists, or perceived that way. Nikola was a brainiac. No one likes brainiacs. These days people would call Nikola a "geek" in order to make themselves feel superior to him in some way. Folks is anti-intellectual.
I just find it sad that nearly everyone knows nothing about Nikola Tesla, and how his presence on this Earth revolutionized many aspects of technology. Fact is, the world would be a very different place today if he had never existed...
Actually he DID develop a system that transmitted electrical power over great distances. However, his sponsor wished to tax everyone who used this system. Tesla wanted everyone to have it for free. Tesla convinced his sponsor that a recording meter is out of the question and his funds were cut.
I didn't dispute the fact that he attempted to develop a system for the transmission, and reception of wireless energy. I was mearly saying it wasn't likely his main goal. However, good information to know. Thanks for sharing!
mate... he blatantly isn't taught in school because of the implications of his inventions to be able upset the current balance of power. His plans were mostly stolen and stored by the US gov or sabotaged by rivals.
And yes I believe the wardencliffe tower was intended to eventualy act as a distribution point for energy brought down from the ionosphere as lightning.

This documentary was made when the BBC were still committed to educating the British public rather than simply throwing low-quality trash at them.
