a tribe called quest is what hip-hop has to be. i would really like to compare them with a rap group of today, but i CAN'T:(!! most of todays rap has become mainsteam pop
This is V.I.B.E., we’re a 15 year old hip hop-singing duo and our inspirations are Eminem, Linkin Park (especially the Fort Minor side project), and Kanye West. Whether any of these sounds can be heard in our music is up to you guys, we’re just trying to get better, so if you got a moment, check out our channel and let us know what we need to improve on to make better music for you.
I cant put in words how much i appreciate these niggaz....growing up around them has influenced my music in every way and i can not front, i think im a fan
I really don't like it when people keep sayin things like "then he realised an album which was certified gold/platinum" instead of just saying something like "'93 they released the 'Low End Theory' which had a deep impact back then in the music industry, because of [...]".
Nowadays we have tons of platinum-groups/singers, it just doesn't make them as special as the Tribe really was and still is if you only mention they're commercial success.
"industry rule number 4080, record company people are SHADYYYYYYY. kids, watch your back, cuz i think they smoke crack.. i dont doubt it, look at how they act.."
@Efon33 Here's the deal my friend....Jive records, along with every single other record company is run by the worst kind of people that exist in the world. An unimaginable amount of greed and lust for money is what record execs live their lives for. They don't care who is affected by their actions. But Believe it or not, since they are killing music with their greed, they affect everyone. Most people don't even realize. A tribe called quest does though.
jive fucking with outkast too big boi said jive would not let them drop group albums or solo albums but now everything is good the albums should be coming soon jive is fucked up ha they had problems with the clipse and mobb deep also who both have new labels now.
yeah man, when you talk about tribe, the first three albums are classics. it was all about the music with these cats. and what made them so great was that their music stood out when other groups were dropping classic material. My favorite group of alltime
The last two were dope too...the last two take some growing to get used to. They switched from a sample heavy sound to the Ummah sound crafted by Tip, Ali and Dilla.
I agree 100%. These guys set the standard for innovative and influential music. They created some of the best hip hop ever, and they did it consciously because they knew they were setting the standard.
Damn my man phife look so different......yeah i know he got sick

Q-tip said he afraid they might be not as good as their last albums,
since alot of rappers change these days. but i think it might be worth to take the risk. maybe Q-tip can finally crush lil wayne and souljaboy.
