@QtommyQ Saw your comment and couldn't help but telling you that this set did indeed steal the show.

As Jeff B came onstage, the left side down in the coveted arm band area became very very crowded and when I took a closer look I realized that the crowd that just wandered in was made up of every guitar player, maker, rep and salesmen in the area. When the set ended they all just stood there with mouths hanging open.

Yep, Jeff is still playing great despite garage accidents (he's a mechanic) and most recently, a kitchen knife accident in which almost sliced-off a fingertip while slicing carrots. A skilled surgeon saved his fingertip, and career. Bassist Tal is probably 25 or so by now. For his 2010 U.S. tour Jeff has Rhonda Smith on bass and Narada Michael Walden on drums, as drummer Vinnie and Tal had other musical obligations.

Tal is what every young adult musician dreams of doing. And she DID it. I love that its a young red-headed Aussie who kinda came out of nowhere and busted through the doors with a new fresh sound and attitude towards playing. And I love even MORE that veterans like Beck saw this hidden gem and pulled her in. Pretty great addition to the music world.

The note was fine; but to draw a gymnastics analogy, she just didn't stick the landing on the riff she did.  No biggy. If I had to guess Beck might have been startled that Tal proved to be fallible for once.

No. He is quite often all over the fretboard playing atonal crap he used to get away with 20 years ago. The microscope is a bit stronger these days and he can't escape the watching eyes and ears as he once did.
