Wait you are talking about how James was outside of the vault before you were born? Nope not a loop hole, in fact the game tells you the vault actually wasn't always closed. They were having troubles in Project Purity and then when the character is born, the mother dies from that and then so they abandoned Project Purity, and the vault actually took in James and the character. Amata tells you that when you return to vault 101.

I don't know if you have played it since this video was recorded, but Fable 2 gets you used to the game and controls while you're a child.

It gives you a stick as a sword and toy as gun and simple "missions" that gets you used to how the game will work when you grow up.

Actually, in Fable: the lost chapters you start as a young boy and then you grow to teenager, later to adult. Also simplified but still fun ) Also in Fable you go bald and have a grey hair by the end of a game :)
