  • dave kushner, the rythym guitarist, used to be a construction worker or something like that but he was friends with duff so they gave him a tryout

  • i thought slash knew him from school?

  • Dave Kushner was in the bands Wasted Youth, Zilch, Loaded and more. And he was not Friends with Duff he was friends with Slash. He was never a construction worker.

  • he actually was a construction worker, if you read in the Slash book it says it was hard to practice at first because Scott was only allowed to be out for three hours a day and that dave had a construction job when he first started but he was friends with slash in junior high and in high school but duff brought him into the picture

  • what is the name of this song?

  • "She Mine" from "Libertad".

  • thanks

  • if scott left the band...who is the new vocalist?

  • great question... :)

  • My God, The Last Fight and She Builds Quick Machines sounded terrible when Scott sung them.

  • they actually did ay.

  • what ever the singers name is i dont think he is still in the band

  • nope he left 1st of april ... i saw them on the 27th of march 4 days before they split up

  • not what it said in the exclusive interviews in classic rock magazine.

  • yeah hes definatly not. not entirely sure what the reason is though its still a bit uknown. drugs are involved and apparently he wasn't commited enough.

  • that sucks. i mean slash is good and all but its not velvet revolver without him. its just slash.. =/

  • when i saw them 4 days before scott left we had to wait over an hour for them to come on stage after the support bands because apparntly scott was fucking around backstage and being all pissy according to slash

  • I can believe it man, I saw them at birmingham carling academy and it took about 40 minutes after they said till they actually came on. Anyways thanks for the added info.

  • haha its funny to see how slash is trying to get the band on stage because he was worse a long time ago haha this guy at teh guitar shop i go to was a guitar tech and was at a small gig taht guns performed at he said they were 1 hour and 45 minutes late and they came on the stage completely hammered and didnt even finish the whole set

  • Scott Weiland was the singer, hes not in the band anymore, hes the singer for Stone Temple Pilots too, (i saw STP today actually) His first band was STP (oh and just a general thing) Im not sure why this happened but today STP started 2 hrs after they were supposed to, due to something Weiland did, not sure what

  • Man, you can deffinetlly tell they all sober when doin tis. they all talking nicely. wuv it, but much more interesting when they drunk, lol

  • the new album is great. weiland even revisits his 'core'-era voice late in the record. i only bought it recently cause i wasn't crazy about the first single but it's a grower

  • *twiches eye* the lead singer does some freaky stuff with his body...*twitch*

  • Yeah, I wish he'd do it to me!!

  • gnr+slash=mindblowing rock

    gnr-slash+duff+drummer dude+stone guardian guy =VR

    Vr=nothing=greatest band ever

  • what?

  • what the hell are you talking about?

  • slash is a assrocking, mindkicking, feetstomping, earblowing, handclaping son of a gutarmastermind who frequently brings out the best rock the world has ever heard.

its just a shame he nerver recorded a funk record!

  • you're blind ,def,gay?

  • I Love you Scott !!!!

  • I like the band and I'm a die hard of all these members. I got the second cd and it wasn't bad. It was more 'mature' sounding. Alot more blusey as well. I loved Contraband and the new cd was pretty cool, but I don't think there's anyone who can disagree that they could be better than they are. It's not bad, but I guess since they've gotton older, the energy isn't as HIGH as it used to be. Maybe it's just me, but I doubt it.

  • Hope their show isnt cancelled on the 31st for dumbass scott fucking up....Still love you scott...i think i speak for all when i say...WE GOT YOUR BACK MAN!

  • Slash Slash Slash, VR VR VR, *Runs around naked around the block hysterically!!* :p

  • LOL!!!

    But I understand. :D

  • one legendary band like gnr splits up to make 2 awsome bands like new gnr and velvet revolver the rock old gnr fans got the rock side of gnr like vr and the more lyrically driven fans got new gnr

  • PLZ DONT THUMB DOWN!!! other than slash, who iz in Vlevet Revlover?

  • Duff McKagan is the bassist and Matt Sorum is the drummer who are also from GnR, Scott Weiland is the singer who's from Stone Temple Pilots, and Dave Kushner, who's the rhythm guitarist from Wasted Youth.

  • Kushner was also in a band with Duff prior to VR called Loaded...if you get a chance, listen to their stuff, it is awesome!

  • Really? I didn't know that. =o
