In the late 70's and early 80's RFA senior skip day was always held at the Palisades. 3 girls died there 3 years in a row so that tradition slowly faded out.
I grew up on the lake and jumped off the Palisades many times. That was until the day when a guy jumped off and crashed through the windshield of my boat and died 3 days later. I think its been illegal ever since.
I grew up in Rome in the late 70's and 80's , no girls died there. A kid did jump into the boat but that was in the 90's.
