  • how many reps?

  • How to Increase Your Speed

yeah go do this stuff the old man is doing, like heavy weights lifting,

it will eventually make you slower than faster, because of the build of your muscles in your legs

  • @piemelinjeowr

not if you do plyometrics with them

  • @piemelinjeowr you should be doing it fast, not slow

  • @piemelinjeowr to a point, but doing the right type of muscle building will make you faster then the extra weight slows you down

  • @piemelinjeowr no not really, muscles are what make you move and when you have more muscle you move faster.

  • @piemelinjeowr is their a way to keep speed good while also having a decent amount of muscle?

  • yeahh... doing all those hips/back excercises are retarded...

especially for an old guy like him, he'd blow his back out ina 5k after that kinda shit.

  • @Gunznskullz91 rofl strong retard

  • why is there a old ass man doing the warm ups wtf

  • ...i think ima just run 40's 5 to 8 times a day and see where that gets me...

  • the best athletes take a well-rounded approach to training for speed. in other words, most workouts include: 1) dynamic warmup; 2) resistance training; 3) reactive training; 4) core & balance; 5) cardiorespiratory activity; 6) recovery. this video talks about one phase of training within a speed development program. the goal here is to build a solid strength foundation. to boost speed, you'll need to start with a sturdy base of strength.

  • improving speed is about creating a progressive workout plan that addresses your goals, injury history, sport, sport-season status (in-season vs. off-season), available equipment, and time limitations.

  • Don't beleive this you can't train for speed by lifting weights.

  • shut the fuck up.. lower body strength and flexibility is the key to stride length weights are more important that sprinnting and crap so shut the hell up before i kick u ass

  • Explosivness is the key to being faster, not stregth. No weighted workout can help you become faster, and increases stride length decreases accleration

  • hahhah alright... ask about 5pro athletes who have trained with joe defranco how he gets his athletes fast
