  • wow that boat is really quick! nice boat and great sailing.

  • better be a waterproof camera

  • im thinkin of modifying mine and taking it camp cruising... Fun

  • The sail/booms need to be on the opposite side of the mast away from the halyard. Rigged like this you're going to get caught up and not be able to use the full potential of the boat. Great fun though. Arguably most all around fun sailboat on the planet.

  • @ffdeng5 Agreed--Sail should be on the port side of mast

  • im learnin how to sail these boats. just at camp

  • what year sunfish is that? i just bought a hull this weekend and it looks a lot like that and i want to get some parts for it but i dont know what year model it is.

  • @cowboysfan100 Appears to be a mid to late 70's hull. Just about any Sunfish supplier will have parts for your boat , unless it was made prior to 1972--rudder assemblies were different. You can still get these older rudder parts on Ebay,as well.

  • @cowboysfan100 There should be a serial # stamped on the upper starboard side of the transom. The last two digits will give the year.

  • This fish probably does'nt have outhaul, or downhaul control. He could drop the sail a bit, but the boat is pointing fine. It does'nt seem to be overpressed.

  • nice speed but ring your boom down and you will fly and try some outhaul to tighten your sail

  • 120-130lbs

  • how much is a sunfish supposed to weigh?

  • we had a starfish in 1970. which is in the same style

  • Brings back memories - sailed a Sunfish from 1970 through 1983. Great design!
