  • Great recipe girls, was really yummy...

And in regards to the last comment, apparently some people have not been taught "if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything"! There is nothing wrong with eating vegetarian, vegan, or meat... It's a choice, kinda like your choice to make rude comments!

  • you know guys.....vegetarian is actually an old word of the indians which means: "shitty hunter"

  • Amen brother! God bless you and Brother Farrakhan. We love the minister and brother Malcolm

  • I would rather go to the jungle to eat (or organic farmers market) rather than eat the white man's "high tech" processed foods nuked to death in the microwave oven. American food industry doesn't know shit about proper nutrition! The plate is full of toxins which explains why the incidence of diabetes, heart disease, and cancer in America increase exponentially!

The white man is the devil!

  • @Zakariah1971 exactly! the white man has brought death in all forms....follow him in nothing he does....I follow the teachings of Elijah muhammad "how to eat to live" books

  • insult to Indian cooking

  • @saabaria why?

  • Unless you are a qualified expert, you have no business posting your ignorance on Youtube. You need to be a registered dietician, or a nutritionist, or a naturopath. Some naturopath is now going to have to reverse the damage done due to your bad advice. All food organic. Steam vegetables-NEVER FRIED. Ideally raw, raw, raw. I steam asparagus, broccoli, carrots, etc. I bake potatoes. Eating is about nutrition first, not about taste! When you eat you are trying to feed the cells not toxify

  • Canned milk is toxic, heated oils releases free radicals, cooked meat is toxic, cooked vegetables kills all the enzymes! Morons

  • @Zakariah1971 how do you eat your veggies? raw all the time?

  • @Zakariah1971 go to the jungle and eat from the trees then! Not sure why you are watching a cooking channel!... These ladies r doing their best at sharing their recipes for us non-rawterians

  • could you pls post a low cal version and stuff that tastes edible.......??? ive tried many low cal recipes and most of them taste really bad.... sticky and gooey!!!

  • I didnt think the list ingrediants would end..lol

  • Though ur recipes r good .. Voice of ur Videos r really worst ... Plz repost with good volume...

  • @nvkuriseti Turn the volume up on your speakers. To change the sound quality on all of their videos, they would have to re-record and redo every recipe. That is a lot of work for them, and not necessary. e_e

  • This is the best recipe to make use so mix vegetables! Mine turned out great, restaurant-like!

  • where did you get your orange stirrer from?

  • This is why I am Vegetarian. Love it.

  • When u say bite sizes, do u mean bite them into the sizes u want?

  • @peaceandlove181 Ha-ha! Show me the funny, but first they should sharpen their choppers!

  • Thank you for replying my mail but I boyught Green Giant baby sweet peas but they are not like that peas which u people in ur dishes. Can u please also tell me the name of the company which company peas u people used ?

  • Anuja seems to be trying her best not to laugh in this one :)

  • is it normal that i got an erection from that?

  • i pulled off my nuts :( ouch

  • I would like to marry Hetal.

  • great very interesting recipe and very different from how i make it:

fry onions in oil with cinnamon bark, ginger garlic paste, cardamom and cloves (put in at appropriate stages), add creamed coconut (the packet thing, NOT coconut milk), vegan soy yoghurt, turmeric, salt, garam masala, then vegan soya chicken, kevra water and enough water to cook it through, then add toasted cashews to garnish....

  • You two are AWESOME! I recently transitioned from vegetarian to vegan. I love Indian food. I know I can cook it if I just follow your videos. Thank you for using the internet for good, not evil!

  • wow, that is so much salt you guys are using! doesn't seem really healthy to your blood pressure..

  • this is just amazing !!! i followed each n every step of this recipe n wwaaallaa !!! its just tooo good i felt like a Master Chief after coking it !! :) thanks a lot :)

  • wow that looks yummy

  • Indian food is seriously making me think about becoming vegetarian again...or at least trying again

  • /watch?v=m9FRSghXhDM

  • thank you

  • Ok, I am learning more about cooking.

  • alternative for evaporated milk.....???

  • toomany ingridients please try to make something easy and good

  • @thatdenn1s

I totally agree, I would love to have a good chopper to chop all these veggies, any ideas?

  • goodness gracias that looks so delicious!i wish i had evaporated milk:(

  • complex recipie but awesome to eat

  • That looks hella good. Unfortunately, this dish (and other Indian dishes) seem like a lot of work -- lots of ingredients and lots of steps. But god, Indian food is so darn good and I don't think I can afford $12 per entree + tax, naan, etc. from restaurants anymore. One day I'll have to try this and see if it's as good as when I order it out.

  • I've been vegetarian all my life but am now vegan. I just use coconut milk and tofu. Great recipes. Thanks!

  • Microwave vegetables...??? Are you serious??.Is there another option???

  • @samogitian80

Yes, cook them on the stove.

  • @ShowMeTheCurry lol funny shit.

  • @ShowMeTheCurry i know right?

  • @samogitian80 hahahahaahahahahah

  • @samogitian80 afte microwaving the vegetables will all the vitamines will vanish, never in my life i will do that.

  • Can I subsitute the paneer with something else?

  • @buttaluv10

You can leave it out if want. Some people substitute tofu for paneer but it just looks like paneer - the taste is very different.

  • I live with someone who hates hot food. How much chillies and red pepper would you add to make very mild?

  • @sirmercutio99 : You can skip the green chillies. The flavor comes from other ingredients and the yogurt and the evaporated cream make it a mild curry.

  • not a very good recepie..

it think adding tomatoes at last ruined it.. it din come out good..

    pls eat first before posting.

  • sound out of sync

  • Can i use soy milk? Would it make the korma taste good?

  • What kind of name brand cookware are you using in the video? Is it carbon steel, stainless steel, iron, or cast iron? How much do that wok or pot cost? what website can i purchase one from?

  • Looks delicious! I will definitely try it.

  • @boudzuy its just veggies and spice grounded up..geez

  • Simply fabulous!!!!! This was such a hit last night.

  • can i use coconut milk instead of the evaporated milk and yogurt?

  • @HistoryGeekable : You can and it will have a different flavor but will still be very good. Enjoy!

  • Do you have a hummas recipe?

  • @Stephaniewatercolour : Please check our You Tube channel or our website and we do have a recipe for Hammus.

  • omg my mouth is watering!!

  • Thank you both, simply and easy to follow instructions. Another vegetarian recipe for me. Awesome. :)

  • vegetarian indian food sucks (except tamarind rice, naan/rotli, and idli). Infact, most vegetarian foods suck

  • @randomchampion

What nonsense u r talking about . No body give shit on tamarind rice. There are so many vegeterian food items in India. Some even more testy than non veg.Do u hv any idea ? Or simply talking rubbish.

  • @gemphu1234

lol, I am an Indian person. both my parents are 100% indian. of course i know wat im talking about. Also, ive probably eaten a much greater variety of foods than you have, not to mention that I have experience eating almost every regional cuisine of india.

  • @randomchampion

I know u r Indian. But from ur comment I can understand very clearly. U r a south Indian. So praising idli , tamarind rice. Dont tell me . Who like tamarind rice except soth Indian.

I am sure U have not test all . Yes, ofcourse I do. Have u ever tested Bengali ,Oriya and Punjabi foods. The veg item there is even more testy than nonveg.U hv no idea at all. Just u r giving ur fake comment. Anyway dont talk abt those boring junk tamarind rice. LOL

  • @gemphu1234

LOL. I am 100% gujarati, which is in the northern half of india. I do not relish south indian food at all for the most part. Those meager 3 foods i listed simply happen to be my favorite VEGETARIAN food and happen to be from south india - they are RELATIVELY good, but nothing compared to seekh kababs, tandoori chicken, tumsi kababs, kofta curries etc. However paneer mattar, pallack paneer and crap like that all are horrible in taste and nutrition even though they are from north

  • @randomchampion

Thats what I was trying to tell u. What u like or not thats different. I hv no right to tell. But u only know palak paneer and paneer matar. U dont have any idea about others at all.

  • @gemphu1234

See there you go assuming again. I have tasted other vegetarian indian foods other than the ones i mentioned. what, I have to list all of them? I was just giving some examples. I have plenty idea about the majority of them and I think you'd be hard pressed to find something I havent tried. So my opinion is based on comprehensive experience despite what you assume.

If i list all of the dishes and recipes ive tried, i would need multiple comments to write them all lol

  • Comment removed

  • @gemphu1234 : At this point we'd have to intervene and say, respect how other folks feel and please live and let live!

    Cheers :)

  • @randomchampion : At this point we'd have to intervene and say, respect how other folks feel and please live and let live!

    Cheers :)

  • Can you please teach us how to cook Turnips??

  • I was just wondering, do you guys produce and edit the vids or do you have a producer?

  • Hi Hetal and Anuja, I really like all your 'how to' videos. They are really helpful in my day to day cooking and I try to get new ideas by watching your videos every time before cooking. Keep up the good work!

  • to long

  • I just cooked them to take 1.5 hour!! Its taste really nice like a restaurant food!! I couldnt find that milk cream u mentioned so I putted milk but REALLY YUMMY!!! and Here cariflawer is expensive like 1=$6 so I putted blocori instead. Thank for the amazing recipe!! plz upload recipe to use Khas Khas(poppy seed) I purchased it but I dont know where to use in Indian dishes.

  • this does sound very carby, but i would have just placed boiled potatoes into this, being a vegetarian, it doesn't help when i don't really like a wide range of vegetables!

great recipe though, thank you! going to adapt it to my own taste!

  • @Chazlotte

you can always use vegetarian chicken instead of the vegetables, as qorma can be a meat or vegetable dish

  • @VegetarianDatabase Wouldn't just using firm tofu be better if you wanted to up the protein? I've found that most soy/vegan meat substitutes generally taste like garbage.

  • Do you have any vegan recipes?

  • @angelbe88 "vegan" ...use coconut milk/fat instead of cream ?!

  • @VonLeachim coconut milk is ok for vegan (its the water of the coconut)... but man it loads on the fat/cals fast so use sparingly. I use almond soy milk to cook with sometimes in recipes that call for milk. ;)

  • @Shokara2 idk you have to love the coconut cream/fat.. its super good imo,

stay awy from soy -personally doesn't agree.the almond milk sounds yum but getting fresh almonds is trouble enough...

  • @VonLeachim you can buy almond milk. you don't have to make your own. But I guess it doepends on where you live. Soy is wonderful. I use it instead of meat in all non-veg dishes.

  • How about fat free half and half? Would that work?

  • Could I use fat free half and half? Would that still work instead of condensed milk? Love this recipe, just got a Magic Bullet so I can make it :-)

Thank you so much for all of your LOVELY recipes ladies!

  • @CupidsHealingHearts

Yes, FF half n half will work. Btw...we did not use condensed milk (it is super sweet).

  • the meal looks great. The film crew although for professional camera men you would think they could have the sound timed right.

  • mmmmmmmmmmmmmnn

  • i cannot cook but really like indian curry.

i don't know how people could cook

  • @Canihazcheezburgerz

You'll never know unless you try. Give it a shot...it's not as difficult as you may think :).

  • I agree. Indian food is a vegetarian's heaven. How come so many indian recipes are vegetarian? You two make a great team. Thanks for the recipe intro with measurements. :-)

  • great recipe ..... except for microwaving the veggies....why would you want to take beautiful veggies and nuke it to death for no reason...when you can just add it to the pot and cook it without killing it.

my point, reduce the use of microwave.

  • I'm going to try this recipe! I have all the recipe except for the whole garam masala. However, I DO have garam masala powder. Can I use that instead?

  • @leftyla

Yes, you can use garam masala but you would have to add it towards the end of the cooking process, not in the oil.

  • thanks for reply i m talking about malaicurry and its a sweets

  • I'm sure Indian food is delicous to most people, but it doesn't look very good. Such a bad color and I don't like the spices. Buy I'm a vegetarian so I'm going to try to like it.

  • @chevon1920

Indian food (if you've never had it) may be an acquired taste however, it is a vegetarian's dream come true. It offers so many options and protein sources. Once you get used to the spices and flavors, you will love it. P.S. You can always cut down on the spices to acclimate yourself.

  • @chevon1920 Your comment makes no sense. No one is forcing you to like or try this recipe.

  • @chevon1920 If you are a vegetarian and don't like Indian, life must be hard. Indian food is my savior!

  • how much did you you put in there!!!!!???????

also the sound is out of sync

apart from that it was gd

  • i love you guys!

  • it looks very very good thank you

  • thanks it s really yummy.........my 2yrs old girl love it....

show some bengali recipe.that is malaikary sweete if u know

  • @drrifat : we do have a shrimp malaikari recipe. pl. check our website of the you tube channel

  • looking very nice

  • wow that looks so delicious!

  • put a proper weight on the panir... let it rest for about 30 minutes to an hour and cut it into little cubes... there you go HOME MADE PANIR... its easy, cheap and most of all AUTHENTIC rather than messin about with some french cheese ;)

    Enjoy your food! Namaste,

    Sw. Satya Ananda

  • not to be a complete nonce but... why on earth are you discussing where to buy panir?? that amused me a lot... how about u get a liter of milk and a couple of tablespoons lemon-juice?? let the milk cook (do NOT stir) untill the foam starts to rise... throw in the lemonjuice and TADAAA... the panir wil start to float at the surface of the pan and the rest of the fluid will become fully transparant xD take out the white pieces of panir put them in clean cloth. wrap in as tight as possible...

  • 5 stars

    *****

  • YUM! Indian food is so good :) It beats American food by a long shot! It looks like a great reciepe. Thanks for sharing :)

  • Good one! thanks for sharing

  • is it alright to have milk and yoghurt???

  • If the cows are treated right and their babies are not taken away from them and their lives are not in jeopardy...they will gladly give their milk in exchange for protection and food.

  • I have looked everywhere in my town. I cannot find ANY Paneer, natural whole food store, international store. I am soooo mad cuz I love it in Korma like I had at Indian restaurants. I'll eventually find a place or make it myself I guess.

  • It's not too difficult to make your own paneer at home. Please see our "Homemade Paneer" and detailed instructions on our website.

  • @ShowMeTheCurry thats true! i have started to make my own paneer, and its just: "easy peasy lemon squeezy" :))

  • Go to Cosco in chees section, get a sheep feta cheese called Valbreso, it is about $7.oo for 21 oz. This is the best paneer you can find in USA. it comes from France. Good luck.

  • Thanks, Cucumeh, will look into it!

  • Very nice, gonna try it. I am sure its Yummy!!!!!

  • i thought you use coconut , I always put coconut in it

  • i tried it its very very tasty, Thanks for uploading.

  • WHAT WHAT!! I cant hear you. bad audio

  • Guys, go to an indian store

    you'll fine paneer

    nothing can subsittute it

    it's soooo yummmyyyy

  • Oh my goodness. That looks wonderful!

  • Pull out our cashews and nuts:/

    Makes no sense.

  • Paneer isn't it tofu ?

  • No, tofu is soybean curd. Paneer is a milk product.

  • What is paneer in english ???

  • There is no English translation for paneer but it is a homemade cheese.

  • cottage cheese usually

  • ohh , thats not nice :S . . . ill put soft cheese insted :P

  • In the US, cottage cheese is very different than paneer.

  • Thanks but ill use soft cheese , loool

  • @0S4F1R0

I dunno if soft cheese would b a good idea. Paneer doesn't melt and doesn't have a cheesy taste. We just call it cheese for the lack of a better word in english but it's misleading. It's a milk solid. Although I am guessing u already found that out since this comment is 5months oldThere is no sub for paneer (that I know of )but its really easy to make if u can't find.

  • @nworb how bout calling it a "milk tofu".... it tastes, looks and feels very much like tofu. :)

  • LOL. Well if u want to call it that, sure. I'd say it's more like "milk solid" since it's made by separating milk using some sort of acidic liquid like lemon or vinegar.Someone on another video got a lil bitchy with me when I pointed out that it doesn't taste like tofu and cuz tofu has a slight beany taste to it which paneer doesn't. Anyways I'd rather leave it at that, before I start another tofu-paneer arguement:P

  • @nworb If you are getting a slightly beany taste to your tofu, it may be because you are not pressing your tofu before you use it...sometimes called "draining". The water in the tofu is actually what gives it the beany flavor, so the more you can get out, the better. Also, you can marinate your tofu in a sauce or marinade which will make it taste like paneer...just a couple ideas.

  • @jamie1974 Thank u for the ideas I will try them out. I do actually wash the tofu before hand but it hasn't helped the taste. I don't hate the taste, I just don't find it a suitable substitute for authentic paneer. I make imitation scrambled eggs with it. Indian style of course, helps mask the taste with haldi n stuff. I am very picky about my food so I will notice stuff others may not :P What kind of a marinade makes it taste like paneer?

  • Hey I am not sure if that will work.. soft cheese I mean. Tofu (bean curd) is the best replacement for paneer. Halloumi cheese is another closer replacment

  • Hey,

You can actually ask for paneer in the shops. I reckon there is no English translation.

  • Well, i think its cottage cheese:)

  • Aaaa, thank you! I love korma and have been eagerly searching for a vegetarian alternative; I shall have to try this very soon! <3

  • some coconut milk in this dish sounds really good to me....MMMMMMM

  • it looks great but i don't have a grinder. any way to avoid the grinding?

  • Without grinding, you will not get the right consistency of the gravy.

  • I am definitely going to try this. Looks amazing.

  • We add coconut and cuscus when we grind.

  • love the Korma

  • My mouth is watering! I've only had this in a restaurant & it ended all too quick. Wonderful, now I can make a whole potful! Since I'm a microwave cook too, this is just up my alley.

  • it would be helpful to give alternatives now and then, for instance what is paneer, a type of chees, if so what could I use if i cant get it?

  • Yup, Paneer is a type of Indian cheese. Not sure exactly what its made from, but i can tell you that most big supermarkets should stock it.

  • Mmmm! I'm so hungry!

  • :-\ there are lots of wholesome classy women that arent christians

  • hey there...Just wanted to let you know that i made this today for dinner and everyone loved it! Im from the carribean but of east indian decent, and we make curries very different, mainly using jeera & no milk so its pritty healthier. Living in london some of my friends are indian/pakistani, therefore had introduced me to fabulous asian cooking...nd its amazing!

  • i also had another question: Is this recipe mild? (I suffer from heart burn) If i like my curry mild, should i half the recipe of green/red chile?

  • This is a mild curry. All of our recipes have chilies (red or green) to taste so you can definitely adjust it to your level.

  • I love vegetable korma. i have only liked it at this one restaurant. I want to recreate it. It had a very mild and sweet taste and i was wondering where that sweet taste might have come from. Coconut milk? The color and consistency looked the same as yours. I wonder if they used yogurt with sugar?

  • The evaporated milk does make this slightly sweet (even though there is no sugar in it). If you wanted, you could add about a tsp of sugar to the milk or the yogurt to make it more sweet.

  • Oh wow looks so good!! Great video!

  • wow it looks awesome, my only comment is that she us
