Jerry said that they had to drop tune Mike's bass down to C#, but If you have a 5-string bass like myself, playing that intro riff with the half bends is fairly easy. I do it on the low B string on the 5th and 6th fret. And what's awesome about playing it that way is you don't have to go through the hassle of drop tuning a 4-string and it makes it sound larger than life. Also this video lesson was very helpful because the tabs that are out there are not quite right.

Take note young guitarists.......simple is awesome! I guess I used to love shredding and fancy technical work when I was younger, but over the years I have come to much favor powerful, yet simple (relatively) guitar work such as Cantrell, Iommi, Keenan, etc. The 3 T's are taste, tone and technique. taste and tone are the tops IMO.
